CASA MARAVILLOSA is a comfortable and well located private home with air-conditioning and a dramatic cliff-side setting over-looking Zihuatanejo Bay and boat harbor. It has four-bedrooms, two-bathrooms, and a laundry room with an attached one-car garage. Enjoy colorful sunsets and life on Zihua-bay viewed from the bedroom terraces or from hammocks on the shade covered kitchen patio. Many comfortable places to relax and take in the view. Take it easy at Casa Maravillosa! There are two great beaches a short walk from the front door, one on each side of Casa Maravillosa. For fresh water swimming, some nearby hotels offer day-use of their pools for a small fee or food and drink purchases.
Accommodations are available for short-term or long-term rental. The rates are determined by number of guests and length of visit. All short-term rates include utilities, large flat-screen TV/DVD player, DSL-internet, local telephone calls and housekeeping services. Casa Maravillosa is clean and comfortably furnished. Great views of Zihuatanejo Bay, Las Gatas and Madera beaches. Mountains surround the bay, fishing village and thriving "El Centro" marketplace.
Casa Maravillosa, is located at the north end of renown La Ropa beach, where there is something for everyone, of any age group, to enjoy. Zihua bay is a fun place to swim and there are many beachside recreations to try, such as, para-sailing and water-sport rentals. Massage sessions (on-beach, or in-home) are available and there are a variety of local day-spas offering wonderful places to relax and enjoy their services.
There are many great restaurants to choose from, some with live entertainment. Two fine restaurants are next door to Casa Maravillosa. Our favorite is Restaurante IL Mare. It is one of the best and most popular places to eat in Zihuatanejo, due to the wonderful ocean view, excellent food and friendly staff. They are open for lunch and dinner. The other is Espuma, at Villa Guadalupe. They have gourmet Latin-Asian-fusion fare, with speciality foods, including a "Japanese night". Stop in for at least a drink to see the incredible archetecture and marvellous views of the bay. The La Ropa and Madera beach areas have many restaurants located on the sand with tables at the water's edge. Madera beach is on the north side of Casa Maravillosa. It is reached by a cobblestone path that goes from street to sand. A lighted promenade begins at the south end of Madera for an easy walk to town, day or night. There are many restaurants and shops to explore along the way and if one is suddenly ready for their afternoon siesta, home is just a minute or two away, because a taxi ride is always easily available.
Flexible rates begin at $200.00 nt/for 2-people. Extra guests are, in general, from children to adults, $20.00 to $50.00 per person, per night, taxes and fees included. Located on the northern California coast, Whole Earth Enterprises, DBA, Whole Earth Home Rentals, is a family owned business designing and building homes for rent, or sale since 1992. We started vacation renting our properties in 1998, and have expanded the business to include vacation rental bookings for other property owners. It is a lot of fun to host travellers, and hear guest's travel stories. Ours is a creative and satisfying career, making houses into homes, and learning what folks want when they travel. We think of what we do as a multi-media art project, on a BIG canvas.
Why the Owner Chose Zihuatanejo
Zihuatanejo is a perfect vacation spot. Easy to get to, great climate, warm and wonderful people to visit with. Many folks speak English, and there are many fun places to see in the area. Travels to Zihuatanejo, for some in our family, began in the 1970's. About five years ago we started visiting Z again, at least once a year, and eventually found what we felt was an incredibly special home to buy. It is a clean and comfortable home, in a great location, with awesome ocean-front views. One day we will re-model it to provide an additional apartment and a swimming pool. Sooner rather than later, we hope to live there several months a year, enjoying the beach and lovely community of Zihuatanejo.

Quiet, comfortable, with marvelous views, that is Casa Maravillosa. Watch the boats on the bay. See the birds soar and cry. Hear the ocean surge on the rocks below your windows. Be out-and-about, or spend lots of R&R time on the shaded lanai in the hammocks. Either way it will be a wonderful day and a memorable vacation. Boat, beach, swim, surf, so many fun things to see and do, all within walking, bus, or taxi distance. There's probably 1000 restaurants to choose from, for any budget, simple or fancy. Zihuatanejo is the number one return destination in Mexico. One visit and you'll know why.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Maravillosa for a week to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and had a wonderful time. The house manager was there to greet us when we arrived and made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. He even assisted us with getting our lost luggage delivered from the airport! We spent most of our time on the main terrace enjoying the amazing views of Zihuatanejo bay. I think this property probably has one of the best views in the bay! It’s located in the Playa La Ropa beach area and sits between two terrific restaurants- we tried them both! If you prefer a private home to a hotel or a condo I highly recommend Casa Maravillosa. My husband and I are already looking to plan our next trip!!

My husband and I are the former owners of this wonderful property and spent so many wonderful years basking in this haven. We owned this property for about 18 years before selling it due to my husband's declining health. The current owners have made some wonderful changes/improvements to this vacation get away and anybody wishing to enjoy the comforts of relaxing, sunbathing or just walking around Zihuatanejo would not be disappointed in staying at this lovely place. Go and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy - you will love it!!
