The Westin allows us to arrive on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. However, 90 days before date of arrival, we can book it for arriving on a Monday-Thursday if it's available.
**** Just think, you could stay in the studio for the first week and then move to the one bedroom the second week! $5000 total!!
*****Take a free shuttle to Whalers Village, Sheraton, Westin Hotel, or Lahaina for shopping and restaurants. You can go to any Starwood resort and pay by charging it to your room.
******* My husband and I were living in Grenada (Caribbean), where he was attending medical school and won't be able to go to Hawaii this next couple of years. We are now moving to New Jersey for his clinical rotations. We are going to put this money toward paying for what we owe on this. We promised each other we would not use it until it is all paid off. ***Good news!! They have just switched all the queen size beds to king size beds in the last year! What a relief!!
We would prefer if you pay through PayPal and use the certified bank option. This just means that when they take it from your bank account, then we don't have to pay the 3% PayPal fee. We do accept checks and money orders!
*****You will NOT be required to attend any type of timeshare presentation unless you request or DESIRE too!!!! If you do, they give you a $50 gift certificate for the shops or restaurant!
***If you call me, I can promise to call you within 4 hours. It is usually less time than that! I always have my phone on me. You can also email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I am a stay a home mom with two small children and do not work so I tend to have more time on my hands. In case you live in Canada,I can call you with my long distance plan!
*****I have checked for flights and the best prices are found on Hawaiian, Alaska, and Northwest. Delta, American, and United fly there as well. Northwest had many direct flights for $489!!!!! !! Alamo and Thrifty seem to rent their cars for the best price! Just thought this might help you. I am a stay at home mom while my husband is going to medical school. I can help you find any flight!
*******Don't forget to go to the Costco right around the corner from the airport and stock up on breakfast, lunch, and meat to put on the grill. You will want to bring your seasonings, salt and pepper! They supply the salt and pepper shakers. The grilling utensils are in your room! There is a breakfast buffet at the South resort for $18 that is delicious! There is also a great breakfast buffet at the Lahaina resort as well.
Walk just a few steps and you are swimming in a brand new pool. Kids can enjoy "Keiki Club" a special swimming and play area with its own ship for them to play on. Walk a few steps further and you are swimming, snorkeling or diving with sea turtles and a variety of tropical fish.
This is referring to a lockout: This unit is equipped with granite counter tops and brand new appliances in each of its two kitchens. The two bathrooms each boast Jacuzzi tubs. Best of all, are the heavenly king size beds. The studio has a granite counter top and has a kitchenette. There is one bathroom with two doors (one to the living room and one to the bedroom) and a great jacuzzi.
Maui also offers some of the best scuba diving, snorkeling, whale watching, hiking, rafting and site seeing in the world.
****Parking is free!! We pay all of that in our maintenance fees!!
***The state of Hawaii requires that you pay a tax of est. $9/day for the studio or one bedroom.

- Convertible Bed (2) : It is a queen size sofa bed with a very comfortable mattress with a feather bed on top. I slept on it when I was 7 months pregnant and was fine!

- Full Kitchen : There is no oven in the studio. There is a microwave. I would suggest going to Costco right near the airport and buying all your fish, meat,spices, breakfast food, etc. We only cooked our rice in doors and grilled every night next to the pool.

- Gas/Electric BBQ Grill : The grills are right near the pool. Grill utensils are supplied in the room. Bring your own seasonings, salt and pepper. The room comes with a empty salt and pepper shaker. It also comes with a blender, can opener, and steak knife set.

- Oceanfront : This is an ocean view, and this Resort is directly on the beach. There are no buildings, parks, or groves in between the beach and your room. If you are on the first two floors you may see the trees around the pool. Usually ocean front would be considered the very front of the building where you are closest to seeing the ocean. I just wanted to be clear on this issue. The sooner you contact me the better view you will have.
- Ocean View : I checked both because neither one is the perfect description. The resort identifies my studio as an ocean view. Yet, this description that vrbo site uses is incorrect to the Westin villas. If you are on the outside of the building, then you can see the mountains and the beach. If you are in the iside, you will overlook the pool and the trees surrounding the pool, then the ocean. They cannot tell me where they are putting you until the day before. I then request for a higher room and better view if available. This is just how they book it. They could put you in an island view which means you can see the island and you have to go out on the balcony and look to your right in order to see the beach. They mad the rooms like this so that everyone could see the ocean from wherever they are.

This is the PERFECT location for a family vacation. We have stayed at the Westin North Shores Villas for the past three years and have never been disappointed. The condos are spacious, immaculate, comfortable and have a view that just doesn't get any better. Our kids and grandkids have come with us and the amenties (beach, pools, hot tub, water slides, Pirate pool for the little ones, bbq, etc) - are out of this world - you never have to leave and don't want to leave. In fact we are going back again next year! We have always found the owners to be very accomdating and wonderful to work with! This is a great location - Kaanapali Beach is gorgeous and you are close to great golf courses. Highly recommend the Pineapple Grill at Kapula and Mama's Fish House near Pai for fabulous dining!
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway.
