Fantastic Condo has everything you need

Guest: Karen (Vienna, Virginia)
Date of Stay: 08/31/11 Review Submitted: 09/28/11

What a great place and I agree with the other reviews, it's much more beautiful than the pictures. The kitchen is just a centerpiece with top of the line appliances, granite counter tops and lots of space for more than one cook. Especially nice is the fact that there are 3 full bathrooms and the two bedrooms each have their own master bathroom. I build on to the other reviews on this place, the owner, Larry and his manager, Sheila, who I met by chance in the office are readily available for our needs. They went out of their way to make our stay easy, even providing some amenities I hadn't expected. Having stores across the street was especially convenient for us . Waipouli is a great resort as well with a lot to offer for families and couples as well. The location is very convenient for exploring both the north and south parts of the island. Thank you again for allowing us to stay there at an affordable price. Please don't change, we will be back!!

Can't wait to go back!

We absolutely loved our stay! The amenities were great and the location was perfect. We are a family of 5 (grade school and high school), and this condo couldn't have been better suited for us in size and features. Having Safeway right across the street was an added bonus for us. We would just walk across the street to pick up needed items. The pool was great. The kids (ok..and the adults) loved the waterslides. The location of the resort allowed us to go on excursions and still get some time at the pool in the afternoon. I just got back and I am already looking for ways to take another trip. Thanks!

Fabulous Condo!

Guest: Cris (San Diego, CA)
Date of Stay: 06/20/11 Review Submitted: 08/18/11

From the moment we walked in to the resort and entered the condo we were impressed! The Waipouli Resort offers amenities that are top notch. This unit provides SS appliances, granite countertops, and quality furnishings. The unit is even more impressive than the pictures. We were able to relax from the first moment we arrived and our kids we ecstatic with their own room and bathroom. The unit has a fully stocked kitchen along with pool and beach items which we used every single day. We especially enjoyed the barbeque area by the fabulous pool where we got to know other guests from all over the world. We would all compare notes on our daily excursions, and make new plans or modifications for the next day based on recommendations of the other guests. The staff at the resort was extraordinary and very accommodating as well. The central location of the resort makes this an ideal spot since it is in the middle of the island making any daily trip not extraordinarily long. With all the conveniences of home, you can walk to the stores, restaurants and Blockbuster video. We would recommend this condo to all of our friends and family. This had to be our most relaxing vacation ever. Thank you Larry and Sheila, for keeping up a high quality condo at an affordable price. We will be back.

The Quality of the Craftmanship in the Condo was Outstanding.

Guest: Kauai Mark (Boston, MA)
Date of Stay: 07/07/11 Review Submitted: 08/18/11

My wife and I along with our 2 teenage boys were island hopping and stayed on Kauai for 3 nights. Because we were there for only a short period, we decided to spend a little less money on Kauai for our accommodations. Even though the rate was lower for this condo, the quality of the interior was far superior to the condo on Maui and even the hotel on Waikiki Beach. The appliances were state of the art and the woodwork was beautiful. The gentleman in the on-site rental office was hysterical with his laid back island personality. The river pool was fun and my sons enjoyed the caves found along the winding river (or the “caves of pain” as they referred to them. Brothers being brothers.) The surf on the beach was too rough to swim, but we didn’t plan on using the beach. We were on Kauai for the Na Pali coast line. (The most beautiful place I’ve ever seen.) I highly recommend a boat tour and helicopter tour to see the Na Pali coast. If you want to save some money and don’t care about an ocean or pool view, you’ll absolutely love this condo. Mahalo and Aloha.

Beautiful condo on a beautiful island

Guest: ruth23 (Vancouver, B.C. Canada)
Date of Stay: 03/23/11 Review Submitted: 06/08/11

This is our first time in Kauai and we spent 8 fabulous days at the Waipouli resort. The condo had everything you could possibly need, spacious bathrooms, comfortable beds, washer and dryer, awesome appliances (so jealous) and more. The resort staff was always so nice and the resort was well kept from the grounds to the lazy river pools to the bbq grills (didn't get a chance to use it but could see it was cleaned every night) to the hot tubs. My kids enjoyed the lazy river but I really enjoyed the hot tub especially after rowing the Waimea River for the day. This unit faces the parking lot with the view of the "Sleeping Giant" but my kids just loved the fact they can sit on the balcony every morning and have there breakfast and watch the ever changing clouds. I, too loved having my cup of java out on the lanai and just waking up to the luscious greenery around the premise. The location was perfect for us as it was central to head north Kee's beach (Tunnels beach) for snorkeling or St Regis for coffee in Princeville or SUP (stand up and paddle) at Hanalei Bay or just head south to Poipu beach to work on your tan, Waimea Canyon for hiking or Kalapaki beach for surfing. We always look forward to coming back to the condo to relax and chill. There was so many amazing eatery on the island and the locals are more than eager to tell you where great tasting fish tacos could be found (Fish Express for take out in Lihue). Or fine dining such as Josselin''s in Koloa (absolutely one of the best food island and you must meet Chef Jean-Marie) and they probably make the best drinks especially the passionfruit sangria. We experimented with all types of "poke" from the finest restaurant to fast food to Safeway to Foodland (across the street from resort) and they all so were different but yummy. So if you are game to try it, it will be worth it. We enjoyed the live music, tapas and drinks at the Oasis restaurant on the premise. It's too bad they close early as we wanted to spend our last night there. A car is necessary to see everything on the island. We didn't mind the traffic. We are after all on holidays and on "Kauai time". In other words, take it easy and just chill. We miss Kauai very much but we plan to come back and stay here again. We had an awesome time!!! Mahalo Larry and Sheila for sharing your beautiful unit!!!

You will not find better accomodations

Guest: Troy (Maine)
Date of Stay: 01/20/11 Review Submitted: 01/30/11

The condo was fabulous with every comfort you could possibly ask for, but what's more important (as you will probably spend very little time being lazy in your condo, even though this would be the one to do it in) is that it is basically completely centrally located on the island, making trips to ANY area easy. I was on the island for eight days and did basically everything there is to do and never had to spend much time getting from place to place. From this resort the North is easily accessible and so is the west. There are very few other resorts that can boast that. The beach is terrific, the hotel grounds are so incredibly nice, and the pool and hot tubs are insane! On top of that the owner was so great to work with. I spent literally months researching this vacation before settling on this condo, and I couldn't have made a better choice. It is absolutely exquisite and as luxurious a place as you will find on the island (and for those of you wondering which Island to go to, unless you are looking for a crowded, cheesy tourist trap, this island is it!). One note, a rental car is absolutely a necessity on Kauai. Luckily, they are inexpensive. I can not overstate how great having a convertible is for this island. Each and every day I was there was sunny, in the 80's (this was January) and a nice tradewind made every thing perfect. You can not go wrong with this Island. which is so gorgeous, or with this condo which was absolutely perfect.

Luxury Gorgeous Condo

Guest: Nancy and Happy Family (Walnut, CA & Chicago, IL)
Date of Stay: 10/21/10 Review Submitted: 10/26/10

This place was as beautiful as we expected. Description and pictures of the place are so accurate. This place was wonderful. We had relatives who were jealous of our place and they were staying at the Westin for way more money, even if we did not have a pool or ocean view. Plus this place was situated near all shops, supermarkets, bars and so convenient! Princeville did not have any shops nearby that was convenient, so my 20 other relatives were so jealous as we were in short driving and walking distance to most places. Definitely go to Waimea Canyon (approx 1 to 1 1/2 hour drive) - try to see sunset if you can, Poipu Beach (30 min drive) - snorkeling (fishes and giant turtles), and Kilauea Lighthouse (30 min drive). Drive to Princeville is long and so soothing it can be very sleepy, but there are several beautiful views of trees. We had 4 adults, 3 kids and 2 infants and this two bedroom accommodated us so comfortably, we could have included an additional 2 adults on the sofa bed. At one point in time we had 20 people in the family room and kitchen area and it was great. Absolutely worth it. Would definitely book here again.

Heaven on the Fourth Floor

Guest: David W. (San Francisco, CA)
Date of Stay: 10/01/10 Review Submitted: 10/12/10

The pictures look very nice but wait till you see this condo in person. Lots of room for kids and adults. Decor has a wonderful hawaiian feel compared to the other condo's I've seen. Having coffee on the patio and taking in the Sleeping Giant surrounded by lush coconut palms is great. All the fixtures from the plumbing to the sofa was of high quality. You can easily walk to superb restaurants and health food stores. The pool was made up of 2 fun filled slides and a long meandering water channel that will take you passed multiple waterfalls. Just based on this and excellent pricing we will surely be back next year!!!

Luxury spa in lobby and beautiful pool. I can't wait to go back.
