Beautiful views of the ocean, a sparkling blue pool, and spacious living areas are all included in this 5 Bedroom/4th bath home located across the street from the beach. The house is situated in a beautiful residential neighborhood with large oak trees, and gorgeous homes.
Third Floor - the third floor hosts the master-suite with a queen bed. The suite has a separate sitting room, dressing room, bathroom, and a sundeck, which offers beautiful views of the ocean.
Second Floor - the second floor is the main living area of the house. The living room is a large living room with two sitting areas and a wood burning fireplace. The large kitchen is fully stocked (large pots for crabs, blender, coffee machine, etc.) with lots of room for wonderful family gatherings.
The second floor also hosts three bedrooms. One is a master-bedroom with a queen bed and a separate bathroom. The master bedroom has wonderful views of the pool and deck. The two additional bedrooms (one double and two twins) share a bathroom.
Located off of the second floor is a large wrap-around deck. This deck is partially screened-in with two outdoor tables and chairs to accommodate 12 people. The portion of the deck that is not screened has built in seating and a charcoal grill. The deck overlooks the swimming pool and is a wonderful place to enjoy the ocean breeze.
The first floor has one bedroom (queen bed), a separate shower/bathroom, and has access to the large garage and washer/dryer.
No beach house is perfect without a swimming pool! This pool is large enough to swim laps and perfect depth for small children and adults. During the summer the pool is serviced twice weekly and during the remaining year it is serviced once weekly. The pool is surrounded with a private fence and is nicely landscaped. There are plenty of chairs and outdoor tables. You will also enjoy the outdoor shower and a second refrigerator which is located right inside the garage.
The beach is directly across the street from the house. The path leading to the beach is beautiful and during the summer months a great place to pick blackberries.
The house offers plenty of parking. The driveway will easily hold 6 cars and the garage has parking for two cars, however you may want to leave room to play basketball!
Dining and shopping are all within a short distance walking or driving. Sullivan's Island has wonderful family parks, tennis courts and basketball courts. Bike and golf-cart rentals are available through local vendors. Visit the historic city of Charleston by a short 15 minute drive.

- Deck/Patio: This home features three decks. The third floor deck, which is located off of the Master-Suite, has beautiful views of the ocean, pool, and surrounding area. The main floor of the house has wrap-around deck, which overlooks the pool, backyard, and the side of the house. This deck is partially screened, with a table and chairs designed for outdoor dining. There is also an area that is not screened, with built in seating and an outdoor charcoal grill. The first floor deck is a paved area surrounding the beautiful pool, which is approximately 18 x 40. This area offers lots of sun and shade from the upper deck and is surrounded by a privacy fence and lush shrubbery. The pool is perfect for laps and is serviced twice weekly during the summer months.

This was our 4th year at this particular house and our 15th year vacationing here - we love it! If you cross the street there is a small sidewalk between the two houses that will take you to the park and tennis courts. Love the house, the pool, the location and the price!

What a wonderful vacation we had at 1740 Atlantic Avenue! Our family has vacationed at many beaches in SC and Georgia through the years, but we feel strongly that we'll return to the Rosen Beach House next year. The home is a wonderful balance of comfort and luxury. The configuration of bedrooms is perfect for our family. The kitchen/den are was great for eating and relaxing. The proximity to the beach is perfect, and we loved cooling off in the pool. This family friendly area of this Island had everything we needed. Sullivan's and the Green Heron were great; for barbeque Home Team was perfect. We consur that Poe's burgers are addictive, and if you want take-out try Gillseppi's. A truly wonderful family weekend! We've been spending time with a family member on this island for almost 30+ years;with their daughter's wedding and the size of my family it was too much. This provided everything we needed for the 6 adults and 6 children who attended that wonderful event - close to family, quiet, spacious, close to the beach - it was hard to leave after such a wonderful visit. The house was amazing, and everyone have space was almost miraculous! We are already trying to come back as a family for a week next time. We hope everyone enjoys their stay as much as we did!
