Thank you for your interest in Shorebird 115! We have one of the nicest Pajaro Condos on the sandy beach of Monterey Bay, with views, and can accommodate up to 8 in our 3 BRs. Come, relax, enjoy the beach and fabulous surrounding area. Cleaning fees and taxes are INCLUDED in our rates and we are now booking fall & winter at off season rates. We are already booked for the US Open, June 2010 and will honor 2009 rates for summer 2010 for all rentals booked by Jan 31.
We offer our spacious luxury three-bedroom, two-bath condominium available directly on the beach in the Pajaro Dunes resort, a 150 acre gated community surrounded by state beach parks, 15 minutes south of Santa Cruz. The condominium building is right on the beautiful, clean, flat sandy beach of Monterey Bay--just walk down a few steps to miles of sand.
This unit was recently remodeled, is beautifully maintained, and fully furnished with all the comforts of home including a wood fireplace. All linens including beach towels are included for your convenience. The second level open floor plan with two decks allow views of the ocean to the west and the lagoon and hills to the east. Fully equipped granite kitchen with cook top/oven range, microwave, coffee maker and other small appliances, dishwasher, washer and dryer; dining table/chairs for eight plus two bar stools at the counter. California state laws limit BBQs on the building decks to one that uses a 1 lb "camp style" propane tank- bring your own or purchase in the office gift store to use with our Weber grill, new for summer 2009.
The condominium sleeps up to eight in three bedrooms--king bed in the master bedroom, queen in guest bedroom, plus a third room with two sets of bunk beds to sleep four--perfect for an extended family or two families traveling together. King and queen bed Serta plush mattresses new for summer 2008 with high thread count linens! Watch movies by the fireplace on the TV/VCR/DVD player in the living room; second TV/VCR/DVD player in the master bedroom. Kid- friendly- we have a selection of books, movies, games, sand toys, kites and boogie boards available for you to enjoy.
All linens including beach towels are included for your convenience. Hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, Kleenex, toilet paper are provided; shampoos & other personal toiletry items are not restocked by housekeeping and should be brought by guests. Bring artificial logs for the fireplace, 1 lb "camp style" propane tank for the BBQ.
Wireless high speed internet access & computer in the unit for your convenience or bring your laptop. Nationwide long distance phone and utilities included. Cell phone reception is good in the building and parking lots. Property management office on site has business center with computer/printer for boarding passes etc.
Pajaro Dunes features a spa, games room, tennis courts, basketball courts, walking trails, shorebirds, with shopping, farmers markets, restaurants, golf, kayaking, sailing and other activities nearby.
5 minutes to Watsonville- grocery and other stores, restaurants;
15 minutes to Santa Cruz and the Beach Boardwalk Amusement Park;
30 minutes to Monterey, Fisherman's Wharf and the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium;
35 minutes from Laguna Seca Raceway/Salinas;
60 minutes from San Jose International Airport;

On site Property Management Company Office provides keys and welcome packet and is available 24/7 in the unlikely need of any maintenance issues. A welcome packet is provided by the office when you check in that includes log on information for the wireless connection, and local information.

Reservation & Cancellation Policy:
We can confirm your reservation upon receipt of the $500 security deposit; full payment is required approximately 60 days in advance of arrival. If a reservation is canceled more than 60 days prior to occupancy, the security deposit, less a $50.00 booking fee, will be refunded in the same manner the deposit was paid. If a reservation is canceled 60-30 days prior to occupancy and we are unable to re-rent the unit for the same dates, a 50% forfeiture fee, will apply. We regret that reservations canceled less than 30 days prior to occupancy forfeit the full amount paid. There are no refunds for early departures. The deposit is returned within about one week assuming no damages at check out. We use paypal for financial transactions- you may use a bank account or credit card via paypal.
VRBO Reservations are made directly with owners, and we do our best to reply promptly to all requests. PLEASE check the calendar for availability- weekends are often booked 1-2 mos out even in off season. We will offer special rates for last minute vacancies and if you wish to fill a "gap" between bookings on the calendar- please inquire. We are best able to serve you with an email request using the CLICK TO INQUIRE option below. I just wanted to write and say THANK YOU for such a wonderful unit in Shorebird! We have stayed at Pajaro Dunes 4 times, and your unit was our favorite by far. It was very kid-friendly, everything was decorated beautifully, and we loved your couch. =) We all had such a wonderful time. Our kids are still talking about it and asking when we are going back.
