Green Acres Ranch is more than a cozy place to stay...it is a work of art surprising its happy guests with beauty and creativity.
The ranch is on acres of clean and sparse Mojave Desert land. Several lounging areas, hammocks, and fire pits help you soak up the sun, the stars, a good book or a glass of wine (It's rumored that a bottle has greeted a guest or two).
For those who love wildlife, our mature trees and other plant life attract a host of twittering birds and scurrying critters: quail, doves, friendly bats, and roadrunners to name a few. Ravens often nest in the large Tamarisk trees at the front gate, raising new hatchlings each year.
We're located less than a mile away from the boundary of Joshua Tree National Park, and our convenient location near the 62 Highway provides easy access to all nearby locations without sacrificing a sense of peaceful seclusion. Daily excursions may include Joshua Tree National Park (West entrance less than ten minutes away), East Mojave Scenic National Area, Big Morongo Wildlife Preserve, Palm Springs, the Coachella Valley, Big Bear Mountain, Twentynine Palms, Pioneer Town, or Giant Rock.

Magical and mystical Joshua Tree first captured my heart after a camping and climbing trip I took with friends many years ago… and I’ve been coming back ever since. Recently, a friend and I were looking for a more relaxing way to spend a weekend in nature (read: shower, comfy bed, indoor heating/cooling), and stumbled upon the Green Acres Ranch website. BOOM. I knew I’d found just the place and arrived only to find that it beyond exceeded my expectations. IT WAS PERECT. So many fun and unique artistic touches make the cabin feel like the vacation home you never knew you needed to visit. And now I can’t imagine not returning on an annual, if not more frequent, basis. We were greeted by a lovely bottle of wine (because nothing says “welcome” like wine!) and an incredibly clean, kitschy, and charming space to call home for the next 48 hours. I can’t recommend this spot enough, and my only reservation in doing so would be that I don’t want it to be booked up the next time I try planning a vacation! But seriously, look no further if you’re looking for a relaxing and authentic little R&R ranch home in beautiful Joshua Tree, because THIS IS IT.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Lauren, thank you for your great review! You're making us blush!!

My whole family and I and our pups had a get away from LA at Green Acres Ranch, it was AMAZING, and so much fun! I couldn't say enough about it, it was cozy and comfortable, and felt like a home away from home. It seemed like every little thing had been thought of and we could just relax and explore the whole place which is soooo pretty. Our two yorky poos were in love with it and didn't want to leave at the end of our stay and neither did we!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Billie Jo and Family (and Yorkies)!

I recently stayed at this adorable property and fell in love with it. There are so many little fun details to discover with the decor. As a photographer this property provided the perfect backdrop to long exposure shots of the moon rise. I had everything I needed and felt very much at home. Albert was a delight! I will be back again and again when I head to the desert for a little rock climbing. :-)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Alright James! Thank you so much!

This place is the definition of inviting. It's probably the coolest place I've stayed in all the world. There is so much character, so much warmth and color, and a thousand things to keep you occupied. I've already been up twice and plan to come up another time during the summer. There is a coy fish pond in the back, a hammock and fire pit, a place to keep your pup (which we've coined "blue dog head ranch"), a lot of space to explore and contemplate, and a few strange/hidden amenities that aren't mentioned in the description. AKA misters under the deck, an outdoor tub you can fill up, a hut in the back with sombreros and an old bicycle machine... There's just so much to find. And the sunset from this point is truly a sight to behold... I don't think it's possible for this place to disappoint, so book it if you can.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much Andrew!

The Cactus Flower Cabin at Green Acres Ranch was adorable and lovely in every way. What really impressed my husband and I were the little touches. From the spices in the cabinet to the extra blankets, stacks of DVD's and board games, maps, guides, bottle openers, etc., everything you could need or want was at your fingertips. The cabin's decor was truly the best, a little Spanish revival mixed with ranch house gave the whole place a very unique vibe. The place was super clean, the King-sized bed was comfy and the yard was well-maintained. I would absolutely recommend the cabin to a friend and like everyone in the guest book wrote, we can't wait to return.Owner response: Thank you Jenna! We love making our guests happy, and we are grateful for your kind review.

Why the Owner Chose Joshua Tree:
Joshua Tree is the best getaway from the city, if you want big open skies and spaces!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
What our guests really enjoy about the property is that it provides great comfort, yet has the slight feel of 'roughing it'. How often in the city do we warm our homes with a wood burning stove?
