We had a wonderful time at Newph's landing. Great location for beautiful sunsets, lots of sun in front and backyard...Loved sitting on the front porch, and not far from the strip for us party goers! Newph's Landing was our groups choice for a place to stay to celebrate our friend's wedding this summer. The house is beautifully located right on Lake Erie. We enjoyed watching the sun set over the water each night and barbecues on the back porch. The great room was spacious and perfect for all of us to gather and play games or watch one of the many movies in the house collection. The homes owner and caretaker were so welcoming and posted out many local attractions we should check out if time permitted. It was a great stay for all of us and we hope to make it back to Newph's again soon.

Newph’s Landing – What a Spot

We had a guys weekend at this house and it truly was a great place. The house was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, big open TV room, A/C, nice yard to play catch in and has an excellent view of the Lake. Lake and beach is just across the road and down a small hill. I’d recommended going out into the water to the left of the large tree that extends out into the lake. Left side is pretty much a huge sand bar that goes out a good 50’. Had 2 movie quality sunsets watching some the beach. Given the size of our crew, I also rented the back barn for both nights. Newph picked up and loaded a keg for us so we had cold draft beer ready upon arrival. The stereo cranked, pool table was smooth and we had a massive fire outside in the fire pit. Cameron also assisted greatly in arranging two walleye fishing Captions and met my request to find a team to prep, cook and clean up dinner for our Saturday night party. (Fishing and dinner crew obviously was an additional charge but the people Cameron brought in were fantastic). All in all, it was an excellent spot with plenty of space to relax, sleep, eat, party or play some wiffle ball outside. Cameron and Tim did a wonderful job meeting our every request. Our whole crew said it was one of the best guys weekend we have had. No doubt the location and owner were a big reason. If you are in the area, stop by Newph’s Landing and enjoy.

We had a absolutely wonderdul time at Newphs! The views are amazing, just wish the water access was easier. The house is beautiful and nicely decorated! Definately will make this a repeat destination.

What an amazing time!

I grew up in the area and now live in California. After contacting Cameron the first time regarding his property, I knew this would be the right place to host a family get together over Labor Day weekend. I was RIGHT! The house was spectacular and very comfortable. I don't think we needed anything the entire time we were there. And Cameron was fantastic! From the very beginning he greeted us and took us for a tour of the house. He made sure we knew how to get to different places in the area and made himself available if we needed anything. The most amazing part was the backyard barn. Cameron and Drew were focused on making sure my family and I had a good time. We even had local guests over and they were very warm and welcoming to them as well. I can't say enough about the level of service Cameron and Drew provided and how comfortable we were in the house. What I will say is that we are already planning another get together next year and can't wait to visit again. Thank you Cameron for providing such a great experience for my family and friends. Wonderful Family Vacation

Thanks, Cameron for such a great vacation! We really enjoyed our family vacation time at Newph's Landing. I had a difficult time finding a place that would accommodate my family within our budget and Newph's was the answer! The guys enjoyed crossing the street to the lake every morning for a early swim and then took the kids back during the day to play. Cameron answered every question we had and found us all we asked for. Our dog, Penny, particularly enjoyed playing with Marshall! My mom and dad spent every morning sitting on the front deck, mom drinking coffee and doing her devotions while daddy just enjoyed her company and the beautiful view of the lake! We WILL be back!

I wish I were there

Our vacation and family reunion was wonderful thanks to Camron at Newphs Landing. The house is very well decorated. The house is large and gave us lots of space for the toddlers. We enjoyed a wonderful large dinner with family in the backyard, while the children swam in our large blow up pool. Camron made a campfire so we could continue our evening after dinner. The sunsets are the most beautiful I have ever seen. You can see them every night while drinking a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The only downfall to this house is that the kitchen was too warm. We were there the hottest week of the summer. I will take a fan the next time I go to keep going in the kitchen. I would love to go back without running as much as we did. I would like to just go and stay at the house for the whole week. It was a wonderful week!!

I have been vacationing off and on at GOTL for the past 8 years with my wife and family. I have never been more comfortable than I have been at Newph's. Beautiful place, gorgeous view of the lake right from the living room! Ample sleeping quarters with ... are you ready for this? ... COMFORTABLE BEDS! All the comforts of home. Cameron is a very gracious host. Marshall does a good job keeping an eye on things. I recommend Newph's Landing 100%! (Just don't try to reserve it during my vacation). Gary

wonderful experience

We, had a great time at newph's,starting with a day on the lake, we caught a 10# walleye,then came back made a bondfire,ate our fish and cooked smore's till the wee hours of the morning.How cool was it then to retire to a first class room in the main house, with my own T.V. cable A/C,then in the morning walk right out to paradise! thanks for everthing cameron!

Rented the house and the Backhouse Bar for the weekend to host a get together. The house is very nice and comfortable and has everything you would need. The house is clean and well-maintained. The Backhouse Bar was perfect for our party. The owner was very accommodating. He helped us out to make our get together one to remember

We had a wonderful time at Newph's Landing. Cameron went above and beyond helping us in everything we asked. My daughter works in the Erie area about 1 week out of every month. She feel in love with the area and decided that she would like to get married at the Virant Family Winery.(They are marvelous people and friends for life too). She then got busy finding all the families houses to rent. She found us Newph's Landing and it was wonderful for our needs and the back party barn was great. The weather of course turned bad but with Cameron's help it turned out great. He helped us with finding Tables and chairs to rent, fire wood for the fire pit, beer keg rental and hamburgers and hot dogs to feed our hungry guests. He also helped with getting the tent setup and for helping get the tables and chairs back to the rental. He offered his help in everything and we did use his help. Loved having Cameron on site. This way we didn't have to track him down or wait for someone to show up to help. He was a very good host. We only wish we would have had more time to enjoy the area. We will be back. Thanks agin Cameron!!!!!!

Perfect place to reunite with family and friends

Perfect place to reunite with family and friends This was the perfect place for our family and friends to reunite. The house has plenty of room and is very tastefully decorated and clean. Our family was very comfortable staying in this home and had plenty of room for 8 adults and 4 kids. We hosted two cookouts at the party barn for friends and family that came for our wedding that weekend. It was the perfect spot for gathering with our friends and family in the evenings. We had everything you could want our need for a cookout! Unlike another reviewer we found the owner being nearby to be an added bonus! He was ready and willing to help with anything. He made sure all of our guests had what they needed and helped with clean up. We would highly recommend this house and/or the party barn to anyone. We plan to return next year!

horrible time

don't stay here, we paid extra to rent the barn in the back to find when we arrived that someone lives in the barn and sleeps on the couch. then the owner of the property has a trailer he lives in that sits right up against the barn. So we had two extra people hanging out with us the whole week. it was extremely annoying. the house is nice and the strip is really cute. beautiful view of the lake.

We made special arrangements to accomidate 26 guests, half of which were to sleep in Tents outside of the Front House in the back yard. Newph's Landing Front House sleeps up to 12 people as noted on our website and in our contracts. Newph's has on-site property managers which cater to our guests 24 X 7 upon request "Such as setting up your tents and cleaning up the Barn after your Parties"or during an emergency As owner of the property, I live in my trailer by the Back Barn and is my right to do so. I provide exceptional services and protect the property for my guests and respectfully enforce the guidelines set fourth in our Rental Agreements. The guests did an exceptiopnal job cleaning the Front House and most of them were delightful to meet. I returned their Damage Deposit in Full.

We had a great time at Newph's Landing! The entire crew at Newph's was phenomenal. They were professional and courteous. The house was immaculate and there were plenty of fresh sheets and towels. The kitchen had everything we needed. An added bonus is having a washer and dryer in the house. Thank you Cameron, Tim and Patty for making this one of the best vacations we ever had. We went to a clambake at The Old Firehouse Winery, not only was it very good food,the service was great, and we also met some nice people. The state park is also beautiful. Don't forget to go and get homemade donuts in town!

Just spent a week @ Newph's with my Mom, Son, and dog. We had a great time- the house is beautiful, neatly kept, and has all amenities. We loved Newph's outstanding dvd collection! He was always available if we had questions, and gave restaurant recommendations and directions freely. It's a short hop by car to the State Park beach, and to Geneva-on-the-Lake. Don't miss Madsen Donuts and the Firehouse Winery! We also explored Ashtabula's Bridge Street shops. Newph recommended Alessandro's (Italian) and Chops (beef) restaurants, both of which are great. We really enjoyed sitting in the great room at night watching dvd's, the sunset, and the many ore boats out on the lake. Newph lent us some binoculars for that. I'd recommend a stay at Newph's to anyone, and hope to go back next summer.

I highly recommend Newph's Landing for a great week of family fun. My teenage children and I had a fantastic time. The view of Lake Erie was spectacular, especially the sunsets. Newph's Landing is close to local Geneva-on-the Lake restaurants and attractions, but away from all the noise and commotion. The state park beach (which is a very nice beach) is just a short drive away. Barbeque grilling is great at Newph's. The air conditioning works well if its hot & humid -- the window screens work equally well when there are temperate lake breezes. The big screen HD TV and DVD in the lakefront living room is spectuacular for evening movies from Newph's great collection, or from your own library. Property manager Tim is available to help you with anything you might need, which won't be much because Newph's Landing has it all. You will have a relaxing and uplifting time at Newph's landing.

We had a wonderful time at Newph's Landing on the Lake. We stayed for one week and had six adults and two toddlers staying at the house. The house was on one floor and was easily child-proofed. The bedrooms were large and we had plenty of space. The kids had a great time in the big backyard and were able to use the sprinkler and the baby pool we brought with us. The backyard was also perfect for roasting mashmallows. The view of Lake Erie at sunset from the living room was fantastic. The location was perfect and was far enough away from the strip so that it was peaceful and quiet. It is also close to the area wineries and restaurants. The owners of the property were available when we couldn't figure out the DVD player and overall were great hosts. We're booking the house for a week next summer to start a new family tradition.
