Living room and Dining room - Cape Canaveral vacation Condo Welcome to Cape Canaveral and the Space Coast!! Our condominium at Solana Lakes is perfect for: • Aerospace contractors • Snowbirds • Families wanting a warm, sunny, family friendly getaway for the summer or winter break The unit has 2 bedrooms,2 full baths, and a fully equipped, eat-in kitchen. There is a dining room with table for larger gatherings. The living room is comfortably furnished with a sectional couch that has recliners at both ends and a pull out double bed. For families, there are some games, puzzles, fishing rods and basic tackle, small boogie boards, and some pool toys. Relax and enjoy the large pool and hot tub on the complex's private island in the middle of the pond. You can also play tennis, workout in the gym, and then have a sauna in the community center. For the fisherman, the pond has catch and release fishing, with lots of bluegill, largemouth bass, and carp. Our son has caught many good sized fish, including a dinner plate sized bluegill, and 10” plus bass, and there are rumors of an 8 lb. bass in the pond. The pond also supports many waterfowl including herons, egrets, ducks, ibis, an occasional osprey, a few turtles and lots of dragonflies. There is a local flock of peacocks that visits as well. Lizards and geckos abound for children to try to catch. When you are ready for the beach, it is only 2 blocks away! Walk miles of child friendly beach with gentle, warm surf, great sandcastle sand, and lots of shells. Watch Space Shuttle and NASA rocket launches from the balcony or beach. We are right next to Port Canaveral for convenient cruise line access, including Disney, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and casino day cruises. Nearby activities and attractions include: • Walt Disney World (~ 1.25 hours) • Jetty park (~ 4 blocks walking distance) – pier fishing, playground, beach access • Deep sea fishing charters from Port Canaveral • Go-carts/miniature golf/arcade (~ 1 mile) • Cocoa Beach Pier (~2.5 miles) • Ron Jon's Surf Shop (~2.5 miles) • Kennedy Space Center visitor center (~ 20 minutes) – see the rocket garden, Saturn V museum, launch facilities, and more. • Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum (~ 20 minutes) - see beautifully restored historic warbirds. • Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore (~ 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on entry point) – birding, crabbing, fishing, alligators, and 23 miles of undeveloped beach. • Brevard Zoo (~ 35 minutes) Thank you for looking, and we hope you will choose to visit us!
