Just finished putting in a kitchenet, full refrigerator, every small appliance you could possibly need to cook anything, larger sink, granite counter tops, hawaiian style lighting, nostalgic art work, it all looks great. The newly remodeled bathroom has a romantic hawaiian rain shower for two. That's not all, enjoy the "PLASMA TV' on the wall from your bed or from the bar stools at the kitchenet. This little oasis at the "Islander on the Beach" truely is a one of a kind. Please take a look at the photos of this little slice of paradise and compare what you are getting for your money. Sleep to the sound of the waves. Wake up to the most beautiful sun rises. Walk directly out the sliding door and onto the beach. Your on the first floor, no stairs to climb, the beach is your front yard. Put your feet in the ocean with your first cup of coffee. The rest of the day is yours in paradise.
ABOUT YOUR ROOM: The room number is 152. You can't get any closer to the beach than this room. It faces directly to the ocean. Just WALK OUT YOUR DOOR AND ONTO THE BEACH. The furnishings are done in Tommy Bahama island style. Air Conditioning at your finger tips. It has a large PLAZMA TV and stereo system. In this newly remodeled room we have put in a beautiful and complete kitchenette with every small appliance you need to make complete meals. The granite counter tops are just one of the great features for you to enjoy. It has a full refrigerator with freezer. It's all there for you to make your favorite meal or Hawaiian drink. The bathroom has granite counters with a large rain shower for two. Travertine stone thoughout the whole unit. We have turned this unit into a special spot for that special vacation. No other room at the Islander on the Beach can offer what this unit does. It' the only one with a true kitchenette and all the other special features in it for you to enjoy. It's exactly what a wonderful Hawaiian vacation needs.
ABOUT THE LOCATION: The Islander at the Beach is located only a few steps away, less than a five minute walk, from the Coconut Market Place. There you will find over 60 specialty shops, a Cinema, restaurants and free live entertainment. The quaint town of Kapaa is only a five minutes drive. There you'll find supermarkets and anything else you would desire. For those who love to walk there are miles each direction from The Islander of paved paths along the oceans edge. What a great place to take a romantic stroll any time of the day.
ABOUT THE ISLANDER ON THE BEACH: Four years ago they totally refurbished the whole resort. Each building, each room, the pool area, tiki bar, landscaping, lobby, parkig lot, everything was redone to make this resort the finest on the Coconut Coast of Kauai, and it is. It was completed in 2005. This wonderful Hawaiian plantation style resort will give your stay on Kauai the feeling of paradise. It still gives me that wonderful feeling stay after stay, year after year.

My husband & I stayed at Jim's place for a week. We found the accomodations fantastice. Loved the full size fridge and the easy care granite countertops. The walk in shower was a luxury. However, the very best part was the great view of the beach from the lanai. We did not miss a sunrise. Everything was picture perfect. The grounds are wellmainted, the pool and jacuzzi clean. REALLY appreciated the nice big bathroom. Easy access to everything. Very nicely appointed space. Everything was exactly as advertised ( a rarity). We liked the Mary Lucas artwork so much we bought two of her originals to take home with us. Everything in the kitchen worked, and the three grills by the pool were never all busy at the same time. Is it possible to find anything at all to complain about??? Okay...maybe one extra roll of toilet paper would have been cool. Who remembers to think about that when shopping in paradise? 5 star all the way...nice job Jim.

We stayed in this bungalow for our honeymoon and it was PERFECT! Fall asleep to the waves crashing, enjoy your coffee on a sunny lanai, and save money by making some of your meals in the kitchenette or grilling by the pool. We were able to make it to the southern or northern end of the island within an hour to enjoy the adventures Kauai has to offer - ziplining, kayaking, catamaran dinner, snorkeling, luau, Lihue, Poipu, golf... You'll never get bored. And if you need a day off from everything, the pool is a rather calm place to be - it wasn't congested with a ton of tourists when we went in June. Walk along the beach, enjoy the beautiful flowers Islander on the Beach has surrounding the area... it's just beautiful. The place was clean, newly remodeled and just what we were looking for. The artwork on the walls shows scenes from Hawaii and the quality of the remodeling work is superb. We really enjoyed this little bungalow and it will be the place we return to should we be lucky enough to return to Kauai!!! Jim was extremely helpful and we had that "Aloha" spirit from the moment we first discussed his place. You'll feel extremely welcomed! If you're looking for a great quality, affordable place to base all of your Kauai adventures out of, Jim's little piece of paradise is perfect!
