The Sand Dollar is a beautiful stilt house located in the family friendly resort of Ocean Lakes that is ready for fun. It has all the comfort of home minus the stress! Ocean Lakes is a gated resort that is monitored by an excellent security staff. Children are free to bike ride, putt-putt, and fish. The beautiful beach is a 3 minute golf cart ride away.
First Floor:
Large master suite, King bed with a pillow top mattress, flat screen TV , walk-in closet, extra-large walk-in shower
Complete kitchen with new appliances, toaster, blender, coffee maker, sandwich maker, snowcone maker, microwave, dishwasher, etc. Pots, bowls, utensils, and dishes provided.
Dining room has a round table with 4 chairs, Bar with 4 chairs.
Living room has comfy couch, love seat, large chair for lounging, 42" flat screen TV, DVD, VCR, Wii with Guitar Hero 3(2 guitars)Wii fit, Mario Kart, and lots of other games.

Great covered porch complete with swing, wicker set, TV, table and 4 chairs. Uncovered deck adjoining with a bench and two rockers. All wheel-chair accessible.
Second Floor:
Large master suite, King bed pillow top mattress, TV, adjoining bath with double sink and closet. Covered porch with rockers, table and 4 chairs and wicker set. Great place to catch a breeze, nap or escape with a good book!

This was our first time visiting Ocean Lakes and we were not disappointed! Ken and Fentrice were so easy to work with and readily available to contact. Everything went smoothly, including booking a reservation, checking in, checking out, and receiving our deposit back. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We especially enjoyed the large, covered porch on the main floor that had plenty of room and seating for lounging, relaxing, and eating meals. The interior and exterior decorating is beautiful and added to our overall experience. The kitchen was well equipped with everything a family could need for preparing meals. The beach is a short (2 min) drive, as well as plenty of other amenities that the campground offers. Our families enjoyed the playground, the arcade (puts Chuck E. Cheese to shame!), the indoor and outdoor pools (includes a children's splash zone), the mini golf, the picnic area, and more! We didn't have to leave the campground at all during our stay, thanks to the local "sandy mart" and all the great entertainment opportunities on site. One of the most helpful "perks" for our family was the fact that Ken & Fentrice don't charge anything extra than what you see posted. We had the option to clean the house ourselves (all cleaning supplies are provided on site - have to follow specific cleaning directions) or pay a fee to have it cleaned for us. Thank you so much for a wonderful, affordable vacation that we will remember for years to come.

Great Beach House! My family and I only spent the weekend here for my son's baseball tournament, but we would have loved to have stayed an entire week:) We have stayed at several vacation rentals, but this was the best of all! The home had everything we needed and more...Extremely comfortable, clean, peaceful and a BEAUTIFUL home!
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children.

My family spent the first week of August 2010 in this house. Let me just say that the owners were excellent to rent from. We had everything we needed with the exception of linens. The house is clean and accomodated all eight of us quite nicely. The porches on both floors were very relaxing and enjoyable to visit with friends who were also staying at Ocean Lakes.The covered parking was great when it rained. I would 100% recommend renting this house and we look forward to renting from them again in the future! :)

My family of 8 spent the last week of September at this home. We all loved it and had a great time. This house is very clean and roomy. My father is 81 years old and handicapped and that is one reason we chose this house. The ramp was great and the 1st floor is handicapped accessible. We loved the golf cart and the intercom system with a radio.We would recommend this house to anyone. We hope to come back next year. The owners are very nice...a pleasure to work with...A+++

My family spent a week at this home during Labor Day. We have been going to Ocean Lakes for the past eight years and this has been the nicest place we have stayed. The home is beautiful and well equipped with everything you could possibly need plus lots of extras. The porch is wonderful to sit on and read, take a nap or just spend quite time. The owners could not have been any nicer to work with. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night. I would highly recommend this home. I have already checked into renting it again.

We had about 10 people to stay at "The Sand Dollar" in May and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. The covered porch was the best place to take a nap.The ramp made for easy access and it had all the amentities of home and then some. The owners where great to work with, very nice people. We look forward to returning to "The Sand Dollar" very soon.On a rating of 1 to 10 I rate it a 12.

We spent Christmas at the Sand Dollar and enjoyed our stay. This is a lovely home and the owners were wonderful to deal with. I would recomment this property to any family that enjoys the beach. It is very roomy and clean, everything worked well and all the comforts of home was nice. Loved the tiki-cart.
