The hand-carved wood doors featuring "Papa Bear" and "Mama Bear and her Cubs" tell you instantly that this is no ordinary cabin! While you certainly expect scenic vistas in the beautiful Georgia Mountains, you will be amazed to discover the high level of quality used throughout this custom-built retreat.
No detail has been overlooked...from the decor, the kitchen finishes, leather furniture, luxurious linens, or the provisions for all ages to thoroughly enjoy themselves. The open floor plan with soaring ceilings and stunning views features an island kitchen every gourmet cook will love, 2 fireplaces, wet bar, pool table, sleeping or game loft, and split bedroom plan.
Just because we spoil you indoors doesn't mean you won’t love everything Dancing Bears offers you outdoors! Rock your cares away on the front porch, or soak them away in your fabulous hot tub on the back porch. Or, you might prefer appreciating the natural beauty that surrounds you from your upper level, three-sided deck!
Conveniently located an hour from Atlanta, Georgia, 30 minutes from downtown Ellijay and only 20 minutes from Jasper, Talking Rock Creek Resort is a secluded mountain retreat near Carters Lake’s south shores.
There’s no shortage of activities or adventures with so many choices available. Being our guest will entitle you to all of the resort amenities, including the pool and tennis courts, fitness center, playgrounds, basketball courts, picnic areas, the Trout Lodge on the Creek, hiking trails and more. Carters Lake and the Marina are nearby for enthusiasts of boating, fishing, camping, hunting, picnicking, or mountain biking.
All the conveniences of home can be found in Ellijay with its Super Wal-Mart, restaurants, sports bars, movie theater, art festivals, antique shopping, and much more. Only a scenic drive away are many North Georgia Mountain destinations, such as the Appalachian Trail, Fort Mountain State Park, Amicalola Falls State Park, Blue Ridge, and several large golf courses.
