Welcome to our private & secluded little paradise by the beach! Our beach villa ("Oak Villa") is located in the very popular and unique ocean side community of Sea Woods in the resort town of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Experience a world class ocean-side vacation without paying resort prices! Walk in your flip flops along the beautiful oak-covered paths to the beautiful beach and surf just steps away.
Sea Woods is known throughout the area for its unique and abundant natural appeal, where the developers first hired the landscape architect before anyone else. It boasts over 50 acres of beautiful, lush, native trees and vegetation with nature trails throughout.

Oak Villa, located at the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac, is surrounded by lush oak and palm trees, making for a wonderful tropical jungle-like feeling where you can listen to the birds and the sounds of nature, including at times even the waves down on the beach.
The Villa:
Master bedroom with a nice king size bed and en-suite bathroom;
2nd bedroom with a queen size bed also with en-suite bathroom that is shared by guests;
An open den-room containing a bunk-bed that sleeps 2 (perfect for the kids);
Villa sleeps 6, and one of the leather couches also pulls out into a double bed;
Beautiful enclosed Florida-room with glass walls, bringing the lush outside into the living room.
Fully furnished and functional, with all the conveniences that you would expect, including full kitchen, washer and dryer, TV and entertainment system, linens and towels. Very private, lush backyard with patio area and BBQ.
Activities & Attractions in the Area:
The Sea Woods resort community, the town of New Smyrna Beach, and the greater area offers far too many activities, attractions and adventures to list. But here are just a few of our favourites:
Wonderful beaches for swimming, surfing, fishing, walking and driving your car on (only in certain close-by areas - the beach in the Sea Woods area is no-drive, which is a good thing).
Miles of back country wilderness and secluded estuaries awaits you in the Indian River Intracoastal Waterway System where you can kayak or boat and experience world-class fishing (it is known as the red-fish capital of the world), go bird-watching or simply enjoy being on the water. See dolphin and manatee up close.
Golfing and Tennis - in addition to playing tennis on 1 of the 4 lighted courts at Sea Woods, just steps away from the villa, you will find 7 great golf courses in the immediate New Smyrna Beach area.
Pamper yourself at one of the many Day Health Spas in the area, where you can spoil yourself to massages, facials, manicures and pedicures and more. Arts & Culture is a very strong feature of New Smyrna Beach. The city consistently ranks among the finest in books like "The 100 Best Small Art Towns in America: Where to Discover Creative Communities, Fresh Air and Affordable Living" by John Villani.
Then there are river cruises, take the water taxi to Ponce Inlet where you can climb the historic light house, go for day hikes or explore one of the many parks in the area. The Canaveral National Seashore, a 57,000 acre national park nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River, is one of the longest stretches of pristine coastline in the US, and is just south of New Smyrna Beach, literally on your doorstep.
A little known fact is that New Smyrna Beach holds the distinction of being the 2nd oldest city in North America, though some historians believe it to be older than St. Augustine (which is just a couple hours north). Learn all about it at the New Smyrna Museum of History.
IMPORTANT NOTE: WE USED TO RENT OUR VILLA TO VACATIONERS, AND OF COURSE WE USE IT FOR OUR OWN VACATIONS AND SO DO MANY OF OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. HOWEVER, WE RECENTLY BECAME AWARE THAT OUR STREET IS ZONED ONLY FOR MONTHLY TENANTS, AND NOT FOR SHORTER TENANCIES. AS SUCH, WE ARE UNFORTUNATELY NOT ABLE TO RENT OUR VILLA TO SHORT TERM RENTERS/VACATIONERS. HOWEVER, WE HAVE DECIDED TO OPEN OUR VILLA TO ALL OF OUR FRIENDS, NO STRINGS ATTACHED. SO, IF YOU WANT TO STAY AT OAK VILLA FOR SHORTER THAN A MONTH, YOU WILL HAVE TO BECOME OUR PERSONAL FRIENDS. :-) WE HAVE MANY FRIENDS AND VIEW FRIENDSHIP WITH OTHERS AS ONE OF THE TRUE JOYS AND GIFTS IN LIFE, A TRUE BLESSING. AS SUCH, WE WELCOME YOU TO BECOME OUR FRIENDS, AND WE WOULD LOVE TO GET TO KNOW YOU PERSONALLY, AND EXTEND AN INVITATION TO VISIT OAK VILLA. MOST OF OUR FRIENDS THAT VISIT OAK VILLA USUALLY MAKE SOME FORM OF ADVANCE CONTRIBUTION TO SHOW THEIR GRATITUDE, ALTHOUGH THIS IS NOT REQUIRED.

We just spent XMas week '07 at our villa, getting it ready for the tenants. We recently purchased the villa (Fall '07), and have been enjoying getting it furnished and established as a dream vacation getaway. We live in the Bay Area in California, and just love coming down to New Smyrna Beach to enjoy the beach, the waterways, the weather, the villa and the very special community of Sea Woods, and everything else that New Smyrna has to offer - way to many things to mention here.
