Welcome to our private & secluded little paradise by the beach! Our beach villa ("Oak Villa") is located in the very popular and unique ocean side community of Sea Woods in the resort town of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Experience a world class ocean-side vacation without paying resort prices! Walk in your flip flops along the beautiful oak-covered paths to the beautiful beach and surf just steps away.
Sea Woods is known throughout the area for its unique and abundant natural appeal, where the developers first hired the landscape architect before anyone else. It boasts over 50 acres of beautiful, lush, native trees and vegetation with nature trails throughout.

Oak Villa, located at the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac, is surrounded by lush oak and palm trees, making for a wonderful tropical jungle-like feeling where you can listen to the birds and the sounds of nature, including at times even the waves down on the beach.
The Villa:
Master bedroom with a nice king size bed and en-suite bathroom;
2nd bedroom with a queen size bed also with en-suite bathroom that is shared by guests;
An open den-room containing a bunk-bed that sleeps 2 (perfect for the kids);
Villa sleeps 6, and one of the leather couches also pulls out into a double bed;
Beautiful enclosed Florida-room with glass walls, bringing the lush outside into the living room.
Fully furnished and functional, with all the conveniences that you would expect, including full kitchen, washer and dryer, TV and entertainment system, linens and towels. Very private, lush backyard with patio area and BBQ.
Activities & Attractions in the Area:
The Sea Woods resort community, the town of New Smyrna Beach, and the greater area offers far too many activities, attractions and adventures to list. But here are just a few of our favourites:
Wonderful beaches for swimming, surfing, fishing, walking and driving your car on (only in certain close-by areas - the beach in the Sea Woods area is no-drive, which is a good thing).
Miles of back country wilderness and secluded estuaries awaits you in the Indian River Intracoastal Waterway System where you can kayak or boat and experience world-class fishing (it is known as the red-fish capital of the world), go bird-watching or simply enjoy being on the water. See dolphin and manatee up close.
Golfing and Tennis - in addition to playing tennis on 1 of the 4 lighted courts at Sea Woods, just steps away from the villa, you will find 7 great golf courses in the immediate New Smyrna Beach area.
Pamper yourself at one of the many Day Health Spas in the area, where you can spoil yourself to massages, facials, manicures and pedicures and more. Arts & Culture is a very strong feature of New Smyrna Beach. The city consistently ranks among the finest in books like "The 100 Best Small Art Towns in America: Where to Discover Creative Communities, Fresh Air and Affordable Living" by John Villani.
Then there are river cruises, take the water taxi to Ponce Inlet where you can climb the historic light house, go for day hikes or explore one of the many parks in the area. The Canaveral National Seashore, a 57,000 acre national park nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River, is one of the longest stretches of pristine coastline in the US, and is just south of New Smyrna Beach, literally on your doorstep.

Why the Owner Chose Sea Woods
This is a sad but beautiful story. In 1997, while my brother was battling cancer, we wanted a special place for the whole family to spend some quality time together. We chose New Smyrna Beach, and rented a great house on the river, surrounded by beautiful live oaks. We used to go for walks, down to the beach, or along the many pathways through the tropical vegetation. We discovered Sea Woods, this amazing and unique community, and all of us instantly fell in love with it. Julie and I immediately started looking for a place to purchase, and just months before my brother's death, we were able to close on Oak Villa. The good news is that we were able to spend some magical time together in Oak Villa prior to his passing. We always remember our beloved brother when we visit Oak Villa.

We are Eugene & Julie Theron, and we are the fortunate guardians of Oak Villa, a true little slice of heaven. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and love to travel the world and experience the many diverse cultures and beautiful places and people that this wonderful world has to offer. Of all the amazing places we have been, one of our absolute favorite things to do is to go down to New Smyrna Beach for a relaxing beach vacation, and to rejuvenate in the magic of Oak Villa, where it always feels like we become one with the surrounding Live Oak trees, where meditative thoughts and casual conversations swirl together with remarkable ease.
We are engaged in many activities and ventures, and are constantly striving to do good deeds and to live our lives in peace, joy and harmony, loving one another and our friends and family, as well as other people in our lives. Nothing gives us greater joy than to help someone in need, or to give something just for the sake of giving, or to share something special with someone deserving, or to share love and happiness, especially with people that are lonely, sick, underprivileged, needy or otherwise struggling or less fortunate in life. We try to have the basic principals of LOVE underscore everything we do, while treating others with absolute respect and compassion. This brings meaning into our own lives.

Your house is just wonderful to stay in . The furnishings, the landscape, it is a true getaway. We particularly enjoyed watching the wildlife and seeing the birds splash in the birdbath. Thank you so much!!

We love your wonderful villa; the multiple windows bring in the light & the view from each window is truly like a tropical garden! We love the showers - great water pressure!! :-) Your villa is one of the best places we have stayed in any other parts of Fla. The open spacious floor plan is great. It is a peaceful, beautiful, and very comfortable retreat. Thank you for sharing!

We loved our stay. The surroundings & amenities where perfect. My daughter spotted a bobcat traveling through the yard. It was awesome! The house was cozy & had everything we needed. The patio out back was like sitting in a bird sanctuary! Thanks so much!
