We are conveniently located centrally in Colorado in the heart of diverse Park County, just north of the quaint mountain town of Fairplay, the Platte River, and a small fishing lake. It is the ideal base camp to enjoy all that Colorful Colorado has to offer, situated at 10,600 feet above sea level. For those looking to unwind... just kick back, relax, and let the pristine setting melt the stress away.

My wife and I, along with a friend, stayed here, and had a wonderful time. The house is very nice, with everything you need included, including towels. It is very convenient to get to Breckenridge, Leadville, Buena Vista, and Georgetown. We had a bear go right by the window one night, and just down the road had a mother moose with 2 (6' tall) young ones with her. We loved the cathedral ceilings, and the wood burning stove. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone.

For the money, this is the nicest property I have rented. We saw a ton of wildlife and had a great time with friends around the wonderful firepit. Everything we could have asked for was included and the owners were great about our dogs. As long as they were well behaved, there was no "crating" necessary. It is a great, secluded property but just minutes from Fairplay or Alma so we were able to eat out with no problem if that was what we wanted to do. Our kids took advantage of the Fairplay Rec Center and the bowling alley so even in bad weather, there was plenty to do. We fished at Jefferson lake and had fresh trout for lunch. What else can I say...great vacation! Thank you!

The home and furniture were extremely clean and comfortable. So unusual for a doggie friendly home. We liked the well stocked kitchen though the knives could use a bit of sharpening. In the living room was a great collection of books and DVDs. Lots of fun games available in the loft. The master bedroom and bath were amazingly top-notch! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because there was trash tossed into the woods behind the house and by the entrance to the driveway. Overall, it's probably one of the nicest vacation homes I've rented.

We had an awesome time at your mountain home. Everything exceeded our expectations and a great time was had by all! We enjoyed several evening drives in the neighborhood and saw elk, antelope and moose. We took day trips in all directions to enjoy horseback riding, fly fishing, ghost towns and antiquing. We took our own 4-wheel trek over Westin Pass----to die for scenery----but a full day trip. The locals are really friendly and the Forestry office provides excellant info on self-guided tours, hiking, maps, books,etc. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home! The Kennisons
