Our immediate family, 4 grown children and their offspring, spent a three day weekend celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary at this beautifully appointed house. The 180 degree oceanview was spectacular. The house is well furnished to accomodate 16 people, with very, comfortable beds. The elegant kitchen supplied everything we needed to cook wonderful meals. We especially enjoyed gathering around the gas fireplace in the great room, to play games or read, in the evening. The ping pong table in the rec room kept our energetic grandchildren occupied when they weren't on the beach. This house is now our favorite spot on the coast for gatherings. The owner was helpful and accomodating in making arrangements.

We rented this home in mid-April and absolutely loved it. Location was only a brief walk to the beach, view was beautiful and the accommodations were perfect. We had 9 and were more than comfortable. The home is extremely well equipped and we enjoyed everything about our stay. Thank you again! We will be back.

Long time lady friends had such a good time last year at this home, we decided to go back there rather than looking for a different place. As luck would have it, it was a very stormy time, but we were cozy inside in front of the fireplace and enjoyed watching the storms come in off of the ocean in the panoramic view from all the windows. We bring food and prepare our meals there rather than going out and the kitchen is well equipped with all that we needed and a nice large refrigerator. The bathrooms were very nice and everyone had their own bedroom, and remarked about how comfortable the beds were. We found the home to be well cared for and it would accommodate a much larger group if beds were shared. With bedrooms on separate floors there is privacy if needed. The playroom downstairs would be great for families on those days when the beach would be too chilly. It is set into the side of the hill at Road's End and looking out in all directions the view is unobstructed by other homes. Very charming. We plan to return again next year

This beach house is spacious yet with a cozy feel. The kitchen was large enough for multiple cooks and was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. The great room set up worked well for our large group to sit at the dining table, kitchen bar and couches and still interact with each other. We loved the deck with the wonderful ocean view for watching the sunset!

This was an exceptional place to stay with 9 adults. The house could actually have accommodated several more with the bunk bed in the basement. All of the decor and amenities were very up-to-date and in good repair. The only thing that keeps me from giving a 5 star rating was the lack of soap in the showers and in the kitchen. Otherwise, this was a top-notch place to stay and we will likely return in the future.

Six of us long-time ladyfriends booked this home this year in March for three nights for our 4th annual reunion at the beach. We were all so pleased with the accommodations that we decided unanimously to return to this house every year from now on. The weather was not great but we didn't even notice as we were so comfortable inside. There are many windows which provided a great view of the area and we never felt closed in despite the stormy weather. We all brought food to share and found the kitchen to be very well equipped and so spacious, In fact the top level, where the great room/kitchen and dining is, is spacious enough to be comfortable for a very large group. There is a big deck on that floor which would be great given better weather. The bedrooms were comfortable and having all those bathrooms was a real plus for us, especially the nice big towels. This would be a great location for a family gathering with the separation of space and we would heartily recommend this house to anyone.

Look no further, this home is the perfect choice for a stay at the beach. The house is planned for your comfort, from the location in Roads End to the layout and luxury of the rooms. We stayed over Spring Break with our family of 7 adults and 5 grandchildren, never once felt crowded. The views are spectacular and the owners a delight to work with. We would rent again in a heartbeat!

My friends and I found everything as advertised and better. There were 9 adults and 3 kids and we never once felt cramped for space. Each room was tastefully decorated and had ample bedding to keep us cozy. The view from the balconies on the top and middle floors were marvelous and we loved having a kitchen with a view. We also enjoyed the game room and ping pong table. We'd love to do this again. Thank you for sharing your home.

Our Ladies Retreat returned for the third year to this lovely place called Hale Mohalu. We love the spaciousness of the living/dining/kitchen area. And the view is great! The three levels allows those who are "late-niters" to have fun without disturbing those who want to sleep. The beach access is near enough to have a brief walk whenever there are breaks in the program. All in all, a wonderful getaway! St.Patrick's Ladies Guild, Independence, OR

Our family (7 of us) had the pleasure of renting Hale Mohalu. It was perfect for us, plenty of room, very clean, and a fantastic view. We enjoyed the wide screen TV, DVD player, and the ping pong table. It was also a short walk to the beach and a quick drive to the casino.

We had such a lovely time at Hale Mohalu. The home was very roomy, comfortable and well equipped with all the extras you expect in a vacation home. We loved cooking in the large kitchen while being able to enjoy the ocean view and visit with family. The comfy deck chairs on both levels was a nice touch as well. Very short and easy walk to the beach was a plus as well. Highly recommended!

This house is by far the best house we've rented in Lincoln City. Our family of 14 (11 adults, 3 children) have been gathering here for several years. The house was very clean, well equiped, beautiful, in a quiet neighborhood, had amazing views and a large kitchen (a must with so many people). The beach is a short walk away! Thank you ~

We celebrated my mom's 60th birthday here over a long weekend, with 3 siblings and our spouses, our parents and 3 small children. We couldn't stop commenting about the beautiful house and views. We especially appreciated the open layout of the great room on the top floor, the quality furnishings, tilework, woodwork and kitchen. Top notch! We too, enjoyed the ping pong, hot tub and wireless as well as the feeling of being beach front, despite being a couple streets back. Thanks, Barb! We'll be back!

My wife and I shared a school holiday with our grandchildren and parents. The spacious rooms provided plenty of private and public space for the variety of inside activities. In spite of cooler spring weather, we enjoyed the nearby access to the ocean, along with trips to Newport and surrounding towns.

Our family had an awesome time at this home!! We spent our time with several other family members and we never lacked for things to do, or a place to do them. We stayed in the top floor bedrooms. My husband raved about the comfortable bed (usually when we stay somewhere he complains how the beds hurt his back) and the shower was amazing! The kids all loved the very soft throws, and snuggled on the couch by the fireplace with them often. The view of the ocean from the deck was breathtaking and very relaxing. Our daughter spent much of her time on the deck making friends with the gulls, with bits of bread. Our kids were very pleasantly surprised to find many movies to watch and games to play. We played games into the night many an evening on the wonderfully sturdy and spacious table. We were also amazed at how well stocked the house was, especially the kitchen. This house definitely felt like a home to us and we all enjoyed it immensely. If given the opportunity, our family would definitely come back and stay for another week!! Thank You!!

I recently had the pleasure of spending a glorious week at Hale Mohalu with my family. The house is awesome. Not only does it have a beautiful panoramic view of the ocean and surf, we did not want for anything in the house. With three floors the ten of us could spend as much time together or in quiet solitude as we liked. Mornings and afternoons were mostly spent on the top floor with the view, extremely well stocked kitchen, fire place, comfy furniture and the large table where we spent a lot of time eating and playing games. At night we retreated to the bottom floor for competitive table tennis matches, hot tub soaking, and video games. No matter where we were there was a lot to do or not do comfortably. I usually always make a point of staying in a place ocean front, but fortunately this time that was not available and I was able to experience the benefits of something different which I would not hesitate to repeat again. Halo Mohalu is very tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. I particularly liked that the home was not cluttered with the owners personal items. Bureaus and cabinets in the bedrooms and bathrooms were completely at our disposal. Oh, and the beds, everyone raved about how comfortable the beds were. I slept soundly in the master bedroom even though the sounds from the kitchen above were easily audible. I guess that was the only drawback, but it wasn't an issue for us. Thanks again Barb, we had a blast, and maybe next time we will actually get to meet. It really was a pleasure doing business with you!

I loved my stay at this home. It is even more beautiful and spacious than the pictures. We had lots of people there and it never felt crowded. The living room and kitchen are large and open to the balcony and large windows over-looking the ocean. All the furnishings and amenities are very classy and comfortable. The hot tub, ping-pong table and wireless internet access are great extras. We have rented several houses and this has been the most enjoyable experience.
