Lovely dunes (a lot of them!) make for a brisk walk to the water. Stayed one week early April...even rain & wind didn't deter us! Stars at night by the millions...hot tub on large deck is very nice late evenings; woodstove for rustic warmth. Easy ride back to Ft Bragg for supplies or fun shopping. Found a saloon open since 1896; only bldg to survive 1906 quake! Will return for comfy beds and the glorious Mendocino coast! Kristin & Michael, Nevada City, CA

What a magnificent find! We stayed here Nov. 16th-20th, 2011. You hear the sound of the ocean across the dunes. Deer come in the early morning nibbling on the fallen apples in the yard. The hot tub was fabulous and relaxing! All the amenities you could ask for are there! The location is private yet located conveniently just north of Ft. Bragg. The owner is one of the nicest ladies we have had the pleasure of renting from and plan to do so again! Thank you for an awesome place to stay!!

This was a surprise. It had everything we needed for a nice, relaxing time on the coast with our dog. Very quiet neighborhood, large yard, great walk to the dunes and beach. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it was evident that the owners tried hard to think of ways to make their guests comfortable.

My husband and I had a pleasant very quiet stay at cozy Cypress Dunes. We saw deer, quail and enormous ravens. The nearby Dunes and panoramas were exquisite. Lucky for us, the wild berries were in abundance and they were delicious. V'Canto's in town was a find with superb manicotti on the menu.

Cypress dunes is a very comfortable and pleasant place to stay with a spacious yard. It is close the "Skunk Train", Old Haul Road (biking and walking road) and to a state park. It is only about 15 minutes to Mendocino. We definitely enjoyed our stay there.

We found this house very prepared for our stay; the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed the family friendly yard and the plant life including fruit trees and blackberry bushes. The property was private and the spa was great; each night we could see the stars; the fog rolled in and out, but always cooperated with spa stargazing. The weather was good, cool evenings and mornings with sunny days and clear nights. The house was comfortable and easy to heat. We had a memorable stay, and we hope to return.

We loved our stay at the Cypress Dunes. Quiet, relaxing, enjoyable....do as much or as little as you like. We love the sand dunes....Very PRIVATE. There are so many places to explore and there is all the hiking you could possibly want in a very short distance. The home is comfortably suited for couples to reconnect with nature and each other. The Hot tub is a fabulous feature and the best way to check out the stars at night. We completely enjoyed ourselves, yet again. We absolutely love the area and we will be back. Thank you for taking good care of us on our return trip to your home.

We recently stayed at the Cypress Dunes for a five day holiday, this was our second visit and as before it didn't disappoint. If you require 5 star accomodations you might want to seek lodging elsewhere, but if you want a very QUIET competent residence with lots of parking, clean roomy hot tub, and a 15-30 minute walk across wind swept sand dunes to the Pacific Ocean....well my friend, this is your vacation home! Management is friendly, responsive and will go out of their way to please if it's within their power.

Had a great time at Cypress Dunes. Went with my wife, son and dog and had a great time. Lot's of property and very private. Hot tub is great! The best part was the walk to the beach through the sand dunes. Takes about 15 min. to the beach which is very secluded and stretches for which seemed liked miles. Can't beat the place for the price!

We just returned and are all exhauseted, our two goldens ran the dunes and wanted to be carried back . The first night we were so tired we went to dinner at the Purple Rose, not only great food but killer Margaritas. Explored two lighthouses near by and relaxed afterwards in the hot tub. This was a way overdue trip and very relaxing taking time to reflect always helps when the ocean just washes away the stress. We also tried the Silvers' at the Wharf...wonderful food, and we sat on the deck with the dogs and watched fishing boats come and go while the seals barked at us. We were extremely please with the owner and her possitive help for anything we needed. Made us feel welcomed and made our experience terrific. thanks again Buddy and Maggie and Mom&Dad

We really enjoyed our stay at the house this past weekend. It was cozy and had everything you would need. Thanks for letting it be pet friendly, it is nice to stay at a house and city that love dogs! The kids loved playing on the dunes. We will be back hopefully before abalone season closes!

We had the pleasure of staying at Cypress Dunes most recently, what a pleasure. Quiet, secluded yet accessible, well maintained and fully equipped. Just a short exhilarating walk to a lovely beach and crashing surf, were already looking forward to our next getaway at this little nirvana.

I recently stayed at Cypress Dunes. What a great place,it is truly a gem. It was so private and the access to the beach was wonderful. I will definitely return. It had all the comforts of home and a great place to stay while you explore the Mendocino Coast. I am already planning my next visit to this wonderful Vacation Rental.
