This beautiful beach house was designed and furnished to provide the feeling of being at a grandparent's comfortable country seaside cottage. The location is in a private wooded area with a back yard. Hopefully this house will provide all of our children with years of happy memories of their beach vacations with their grandparents. The house has what renters have been asking for - a great room with a cathedral ceiling where everyone can gather together in the same room for prayer groups, shared meals, and entertainment.
Salt Pond is an upscale country club community within a five-minute drive to the beach where you can find elegant Colonial, Victorian, and Cape Cod cottages with wrap-around and front porches. The architectural details of the houses and landscaping are designed to portray the charming ambience of a country seaside resort of the past. The beach house is in a heavily wooded golf course community, three blocks from the clubhouse. As tenants of the Salt Pond, you will have free access to using the clubhouse amenities, including the tennis courts, indoor/outdoor pools, Jacuzzi, exercise room, ping-pong room, basketball court, and playground.
Staying in this elegant Colonial style house will be like renting a bed and breakfast inn. There are only four steps to enter the main house - great for the handicapped and elderly. A lovely first floor master bedroom was designed for the grandparents. The house has two dining areas and two refrigerators for serving formal seated dinners to 22 people. The furniture is from North Carolina from the Lexington Furniture Galleries in finishes of aged white and sun washed pine-colored wicker, rattan, and solid wood. The aged furniture, heirloom quilts, plantation-style window blinds, nautical crafts, reproduction antique lamps, and fine china were selected to provide the feeling of being at a country seaside cottage.
The community has many trees, lakes, and views of wetlands - a great area for taking walks and bike riding. The house is in a private wooded setting, at the end of a cul-de-sac, with woods and wetlands in the back of the house, and no other houses in view. The side patio has three picnic tables, a swing, a gas grill, and Adirondack chairs. Parking for seven to eight cars is available in the driveway, while extra cars can be parked at the club house. The front porch has four rocking chairs.
