Bear Hugs is a new beautifully decorated 4 bedroom 3 bath Cabin in Ellijay,Georgia in the private gated Coosawattee River Resort. Ellijay is located an hour north of Metro Atlanta in the scenic North Georgia Blueridge Mountains.The cabin is located only 2 minutes from the entrance gate,near the river and several river parks,and on the same street as one of the 3 pools in the resort.

This large upscale two story cabin has two full covered porches with rockers and porch swings for relaxing and watching the wildlife. The back deck is wonderful for relaxing and deer watching.

The Living room/Great room has Cathedral ceilings and plenty of tongue and groove for that rustic mountain cabin feeling.The kitchen is fully appointed with all modern appliances,cookware,utensils and even a washer and dryer.The master bedroom has a Pine Log Queen bed with Luxury Rustic Lodge bedding and a twin chair futon/bed,TV with cable,and large Master bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed with Luxury Lodge Quilt Bedding and rocker. The third bedroom is decorated as a Children's room and has a great Full lower/Twin upper Bunkbed,TV,VCR,Bear Chairs for watching TV, and Video console,controllers, and games.There is a highchair,Pack and Play portable crib,and baby gate in the closet for your use. Downstairs is a full finished basement with a huge living room area, Gameroom with Pooltable, and a 4th bedroom with Rustic Log Queen Bed,and a 3rd full Bath with granite countertops.In addition,there is a full size futon sofa which adds additional space for sleeping.

Our Resort offers 3 pools,one Indoor Olympic pool,Game Room with arcade games,free ping pong,free putt-putt,tennis courts, pool table, air hockey, weight room/Gym, Rec center, Teen Center, River Parks, stocked lakes for fishing, tubing and kayaking down the river, campgrounds,picnic areas and playgrounds.   • Wonderful, relaxing time spent at Bear Hugs where we observed seven whitetail deer nibble their way from the back of the cabin to the front roadway. We enjoyed the company of a sweet, neighborly cat who sunned on the front porch and darted among the leaves and brush looking for critters.   • We had the best time at the cabin. I went with the purpose of relaxing, and what made it possible is the Xbox, the movies on hand and the pool table. My three teenagers were able to amuse themselves without leaving the cabin, and my husband and I didn't feel the need to run around trying to keep them occupied. The cabin was big enough for our family so that everyone could have their own space. It's a beautiful cabin surrounded by peaceful views. Being able to see the deer up close was really exciting to my children. Ellijay is a sweet little town that has everything you need. We were pleasantly surprised. For those who are interested in staying busier, Ellijay is central to several 'day trip' locations. Our family is already talking about when we can return.

  • This is an awesome cabin. It is very clean and beautifully decorated. The kids loved the game room and the outdoors that they could explore. One night we counted 7 deer walking through the front yard.

  • Donna and Steve, We must tell you what a wonderful time we had staying at Bear Hugs Cabin this past weekend. We had a fabulous time with friends in an incredible setting. The cabin accommodations are first rate, including a well-stocked kitchen, spacious bedrooms and baths, a wonderful common area upstairs, the covered front porch (with rockers and swing), and the fabulous downstairs living and game area. It is also obvious that it is a child friendly cabin as well. This is a wonderful place for intimate get-aways or large family gatherings. We also enjoyed seeing the deer come up to feed in the early morning. You all are gracious and generous to your guests. We loved being there. Zandra and Charlie Coles

  • We met up ith our friends and stayed at bear hugs cabin for the first time. The cabin was just perfect, very spacious, beautifully decorated and comforatable and relaxing. I really liked rocking or swinging on the front porch and seeing the deer come up and eat corn out of the feeder in the front yard. I also got a kick out of the deer in the basement- you will have to see for yourself! It is so convenient to everything! It was so quiet and peaceful. Great friends and a great place to get away. I can't wait to go back!
