Villa Margarita is located in the private sub-division of Green Bank Estate. The area as in the name is know for it's lush green vegetation. The Villa was designed by prominent architect Michael Arneborg whose speciality is authentic West Indies Design. The villa was built to maximises the panoramic views of beautiful Brewers Bay, Jost Van Dyke and Sandy Cay as well as other Islands and beaches. It was specifically designed to capture the tropical breezes and trade winds of Tortola..
As you enter off the estate road through the stone columns and gates you will be in awe at the spectacular views of this unique and tastefully designed Island getaway. Even the large parking area has an ocean view.
Villa Margarita has casual elegance in a peaceful setting that awards rest and relaxation and is very private. There is old world natural stone through-out, including two natural stone showers. All rooms have imported stone tile from Turkey or natural hardwood. The Villa is conveniently located, only 10 minutes to beaches or the city of Road Town. The villa consists of three separate pavilions surrounded by a 2500' pool deck. There is also a large alfresco dining and living varendah with all teak furniture including the dining table that can seat up to ten. Villa Margarita is an excellent vacation home for families with children of all ages, couples who wish to have fun with friends or for a single couple who appericate luxury along with peace and quiet. Villa Margarita is very spacious and surrounded by tropical flowers, plants, bananna and coconut palm trees. There is teak and hard wood furnishings through-out and porches for every bedroom, in the living room too so you can read and relax while enjoying the great ocean views. A/C is included in all bedrooms, living Room and games room. Solar power quietly runs most everything on the estate during the day. The villa is easy to access and plenty of parking, no four wheel drive is necessary. The swimming pool is 12' x 32' and ranges from 3' to 6' with steps at the shallow end and a bench seat at the deep end. We keep a supply of pool toys on hand for fun too.
At arrival, you will be greeted by the owners or a villa manager at the Beef Island Airport, the West End or Road town Ferry dock, and escorted up to Villa Margarita for your orentation. The airport is only twenty five minutes away. The Ferry docks are 10 min for Road Town or 25 minutes for West End. We can help you arrange a rental car too. Your Vacation starts minutes after your arrival in Tortola.
Tortola, called "Natures Little Secret" has many beaches and restaurants to explore. No highrise condos or commercialism here. You may enjoy a day-sail through the blue waters of the islands and snorkeling in one of our calm bays. We have three beaches where you can enjoy/or watch, surfing. You can also take a free ferry to a nice lunch spot on the small island of Marina Cay, where the breeze is constant and the view is so relaxing you won't want to leave. Starting on New Years Eve, there is music and it's a fun show at the bar above Pussers on Marina Cay.
There is a wonderful short ferry trip to the Island of Jost Van Dyke where you can enjoy the day at White Bay and lunch at the famous Soggie Dollar Bar enjoying their signature drink the Pain Killer and visit Foxy's. Kenny Chesney loves Jost Van Dyke and wrote a song about a blue chair he used to sit in while at the beach. There is also a day trip to Virgin Gorda and the world famous Baths, beautiful beaches, trails and grotto's, along with snorkeling through the hugh bolder formations. You will also love taking a day sail around Tortola visiting many Islands and snorkel/dive spots.
Tortola also has a swim with the Dolphin's program that is fun for young and old alike.
Cane Garden Bay,only 10 minutes drive, always has music and plenty of restaurants and a beautiful white sand beach. Brewers Bay great for snorkeling with a quaint beach bar is also a 10 minute drive. We know you will really be able to relax and enjoy yourself on Tortola and at the Villa. Plenty of restaurants too. The Caribbean people are friendly and the crime rate is one of the lowest in all the Caribbean.

Why the Owner Chose Brewers Bay
The view from Villa Margarita is amazing. You see different Islands, coral heads coming up right in the bay below and the different shades of blue ocean and beyond.can't be found anywhere else. It's the best on the Island. Tortola is peaceful, beautiful and safe. The Island people are very friendly and respectful. The population is mostly West Indian and British with American tourists. The American dollar is the local currency and English is the main language, that makes it easy. There are many white sandy beaches to explore. The Ocean is warm, crystal clear and blue. There is a brand new modern airport and it has easy access to the US. An alternate route is flying into St. Thomas and taking the Ferry to Road Town this adds about $75.00 to the cost of the flight. Thomas, Cindy, and daughter Allison. We sold our plantation shutter manufacturing company in South West Florida and moved to Tortola in 2004. Semi-retired we rent out our villa for income and enjoy it ourselves when we it is not rented. We love Tortola becuse of it's non-commercial and friendly atmosphere a nice place to raise our daughter. The warm breezes of the Caribbean are constant and the ocean waters are blue and crystal clear. Villa Margarita was designed and built in the West Indies design and We enjoy outdoor living and for the design it was a priority. We used only high end finishes and added our own touches to make the house unique. We have always worked in the service industry and we know how to take great care of our guests. It took about three years to finish the construction as it's very complex and well built. Everyone says the pictures don't do it justice. Great place, reviews are spot on. Surprised the wife for a little "land R&R" after spending a week on a yacht charter in BVI. Needless to say, she was stunned when we pulled up to the house - the view is truly amazing. The pictures really don't do it justice. This home is like a mini private compound with 3 separate buildings, cozily nuzzled around the beautiful pool. Very peaceful and quiet. Decorated beautifully with all the amenities we needed. Very relaxing, especially after having to navigate the winding roads of Tortola (you'll see). Right up the road from Cane Grdn Bay, which was nice to hang out without going too far. This place must be great to have a whole family vacation, we're going to try and come back. Sitting by the pool, reading a book and listening to reggae in front of the ridiculous view - not much better than that! We highly recommend Villa Margarita, and Tom couldn't be more accomodating & nice.

We have been to the BVI several times before and had decided to stay atop Brewers bay in this beautiful villa. Tom the owner met us at the airport and guided us to our new home for a week. I have to say, it was everything we wanted and more and such a great space for three couples! So comfortable and welcoming! We enjoyed cooking some of our own meals including Caribbean lobster in the beautiful outdoor kitchen as well as hitting some of the restaurants like Sky almost next door and Myetts at Can Garden Bay. All the comforts of home while enjoying the beautiful BVI! What more could you ask for? Tom and Cindy were great at helping us secure a car rental company as well as helping us order provisions to have at the house when we arrived. The only problem is that I wish we could have stayed longer!!! We will be coming back as soon as possible! Thanks Tom and Cindy!

We (my girlfriend Beth and I) just returned from a week in Tortola staying at Villa Margarita (11/26/11 - 12/3/11). I have stayed in many villas and private homes around the world and Villa Margarita ranks at the top! I must say, I agree with the other 5 star reviews that this place cannot be beat. The pictures and descriptions does not do this beautiful home justice. Tom - the owner - met us and escorted us to the villa. He showed us everything we needed to know about the home. (keys, A/C and utility operation, TV's, Laundry, Security, etc) This villa looks like brand new. The views are to die for. The home is exceptionally maintained and very clean. Villa Margarita is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. With the gated entry, you get a sense of security as well. I had the occasional question and Tom immediately responded graciously with insight and advice. The home is in a great location and convenient to everything. It's only 10 minutes from the restaurants and shops in Cane Garden Bay (where we really enjoyed the convenience of restaurants, grocery and seeing Quito Rymer play his reggae). Road Town is also only 10 minutes away where there are many shops and restaurants as well as a brand new Rite-Way grocery store comparable to what you see in the USA. We easily ventured to "Foxy's" and the "Soggy Dollar" on Jost Van Dyke, snorkeled the Baths and had lunch at Biras Creek on Virgin Gorda via an easy to obtain boat rental. One evening it rained so we just stayed in, cooked out in the unbelievable outdoor kitchen and enjoyed playing pool in the "Pirate Bar" while enjoying some Monday night football. I would highly recommend Villa Margarita on Tortola to anyone looking for first class accommodations - I know I'll be back...very soon.

Just got back from a spring break in paradise. Staying at the Villa Margarita is like being a guest on Lifestyles of The Rich and Famous!! This very secluded property is absolutely stunning and extremely well laid out with great open areas, a beautiful refreshing pool, humongous game room for the kids (young and old)! It's an adventure just getting here. The evening sunset view is both tranquil and breathtaking The master bedroom is glorious with beautiful hardwood floors and gorgeous furniture; it's breathtaking when first entered. The other rooms also have stunning furniture and are exceptional in every detail. Each room has a large flat screen TV with full satellite hookup and DVD player, plus there's a stereo system complete with iPod dock for music. I only wish they had the surround system working in the main living room and a supply of popular movies to watch. The kitchen and outdoor grill area are a chef's delight with professional grade gas range and appliances; I had so much fun preparing our meals and enjoying cocktails on the patio. Photos don't do justice to this property and the owner is absolutely a joy to work with. Anything we needed was immediately addressed. My hat's off to him for a property very well done. Can't wait to return! Beaches are only a short drive away and some are very secluded. Might want a 4 wheel drive vehicle to feel secure, as the roads on Tortola are very steep and in poor condition, like many of the islands.

Traveling a lot around the world, this is by far the best place we have stayed for vacation. This property floor plan is unreal. It was our little peace of heaven during our 8 days stay there. We loved returning to the villa after a day at the beach. it was so relaxing and located in the very quiet part of the island. The view from the villa overlooking brewer's bay was incredible. Someday, we just stayed at the villa because we loved it so much. Laying down by the pool or in the hot tub, having a drink at the bar, enjoying cooking on the huge BBQ, playing air hockey or simply reading and enjoying the fantastic sunset. We had a blast. Our two boys never got bored which is a first...To top it off, Tom the owner was so nice and incredibly helpful always available for us for any question we might have. We just got back from the villa and already planning on returning again with friends and family as quick as we can.

Just spent 8 days at Villa Margarita with our friends....what an amazing well appointed villa. This villa is beautifully decorated and has a great floorplan! Everything was just perfect.....from the amazing outdoor living space, pool & hot tub, comfortable king size beds, incredible views, well equipped kitchen & professional grill!! We loved showering outdoors every morning and looking out over Brewers Bay...breathtaking! We rented a boat and visited Jost Van Dyke & Peter Island...just minutes away! We've rented many villas in the Caribbean and this is one is Top Notch! The owners, Tom & Cindy, were wonderful hosts & available to assist us with any needs and answer all of our questions! Thanks for sharing your beautiful villa! We hope to make it back someday soon!

We were fortunate to spend a week over the holidays at VIlla Margarita. A very special place. One of the best equpped villas we have stayed in. Terrific condition, floor plan, and views. Looking out over Jost in the evening with a cocktail is about as good as it gets. And to top it off, the on site owners, Cindy and Tom, and extremely attentive and helpful! We will go back!

Villa Margarita, located on a mountain top is about as close to Heaven on Earth as you can get. Mornings were spent rubbing our eyes while sipping coffee and thinking - Wow as we looked out over the Virgin Islands. My kids loved the pool and the game room. I also loved that I could relax, cook -- anything and always see them in the pool. If you enjoy cooking like I do, there is a fun outdoor kitchen and dinning area - and always the view. This was my first time saying at a villa rather than a hotel resort and I found it convenient, fun and wonderfully private. The property was just as lovely as its photos, perfectly maintained and the owners were very helpful. We would definitely go back!

Villa Margarita is absolutely amazing! My wife and I live and work in the US Virgin Islands and had the opportunity to get away to Tortola this past April for a week.
