I have never seen a less than 5-star review for Villa Margarita and now I know why. . .there is just nothing missing from making this the best vacation home we've ever encountered. Each appliance, amenity, furnishing, toy, etc is highest quality professional stuff! If anything, we were surprised at how big it was inside and out. I don't think the pictures show how much space there is. I won't repeat all the great, specific comments you see in the other reviews, but if you are in Tortola and need a 3+ bedroom villa, don't hesitate, and book this fabulous property, it's the best you'll find anywhere. The owners have given this place everything you could need or want and a bunch of stuff you didn't think of to enjoy a great, carefree week on Tortola with plenty of space for a sizable group. Tortola high points: you have to do the Baths at Virgin Gorda . . awesome and fun. All the Tortola beaches are beautiful and have their unique charms, our faves include Brewer's for snorkeling and Josiah for playing in the waves. Smuggler's cove is particularly nice as well. We can't say much about island restaurants since Villa Margarita was so nice, we bought groceries and cooked at "home" since we couldn't wait to return each evening after island/beach hopping all day.

We have rented villas all over the Caribbean, in the US and in Europe and Villa Margarita is without question over the top. Location? 10-15 minutes to Roadtown, Brewers Bay and Cane Garden Bay - less to Sage Mountain. View? Better than the pictures. Amenities - If we needed something it was there. We wanted for nothing. Even had a crisper to keep breads and crackers fresh. Decor? Beautifully appointed with a nice blend of tropical feel, quality construction and construction materials and open layout. Responsive owner? A phone call away with advice or to handle any issues. Perfect for families with kids or three couples. Privacy? Almost absolute. Did I mention that everything in the villa was clean and fresh?Recommendation? If you want a new standard in luxury rentals, don’t miss this one!

Great, fantastic house. Amazing views, great location, everything you need, plus wonderful and relaxed hosts. If you're visiting Tortola and you're renting a vacation villa, this place is the best. I miss it tremendously already!!!

Three retired couples, we had 3 (ONLY 3) remarkable days at Villa Margarita after completely a BVI sail trip. We are fortunate to have traveled the world and enjoyed many beautiful properties, this is absolutely the finest property we have ever experienced. If you scroll down through the reviews, you will see all guests have given this property a five star rating with good reason. Tom and Cindy personally maintain and manage this beautiful home. They were very helpful and accomodating. The photos and description of this property are as accurate as a website can make it...YOU HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT!! So lovely and comfortable you will have a hard time leaving to enjoy the many excursions you can enjoy from this location. Tortola has a variety of activities, wonderful restaurants, and sights to explore. We will return and whole heartedly recommend this property. We have done a lot of VRBO rentals, this has been our best experience in every aspect.

Villa Margarita - Exceptional in every way !!

We (my girlfriend Beth and I) just returned from a week in Tortola staying at Villa Margarita (11/26/11 - 12/3/11). I have stayed in many villas and private homes around the world and Villa Margarita ranks at the top! I must say, I agree with the other 5 star reviews that this place cannot be beat. The pictures and descriptions does not do this beautiful home justice. Tom - the owner - met us and escorted us to the villa. He showed us everything we needed to know about the home. (keys, A/C and utility operation, TV's, Laundry, Security, etc) This villa looks like brand new. The views are to die for. The home is exceptionally maintained and very clean. Villa Margarita is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. With the gated entry, you get a sense of security as well. I had the occasional question and Tom immediately responded graciously with insight and advice. The home is in a great location and convenient to everything. It's only 10 minutes from the restaurants and shops in Cane Garden Bay (where we really enjoyed the convenience of restaurants, grocery and seeing Quito Rymer play his reggae). Road Town is also only 10 minutes away where there are many shops and restaurants as well as a brand new Rite-Way grocery store comparable to what you see in the USA. We easily ventured to "Foxy's" and the "Soggy Dollar" on Jost Van Dyke, snorkeled the Baths and had lunch at Biras Creek on Virgin Gorda via an easy to obtain boat rental. One evening it rained so we just stayed in, cooked out in the unbelievable outdoor kitchen and enjoyed playing pool in the "Pirate Bar" while enjoying some Monday night football. I would highly recommend Villa Margarita on Tortola to anyone looking for first class accommodations - I know I'll be back...very soon.

A Week In Paradise

Just got back from a spring break in paradise. Staying at the Villa Margarita is like being a guest on Lifestyles of The Rich and Famous!! This very secluded property is absolutely stunning and extremely well laid out with great open areas, a beautiful refreshing pool, humongous game room for the kids (young and old)! It's an adventure just getting here. The evening sunset view is both tranquil and breathtaking The master bedroom is glorious with beautiful hardwood floors and gorgeous furniture; it's breathtaking when first entered. The other rooms also have stunning furniture and are exceptional in every detail. Each room has a large flat screen TV with full satellite hookup and DVD player, plus there's a stereo system complete with iPod dock for music. I only wish they had the surround system working in the main living room and a supply of popular movies to watch. The kitchen and outdoor grill area are a chef's delight with professional grade gas range and appliances; I had so much fun preparing our meals and enjoying cocktails on the patio. Photos don't do justice to this property and the owner is absolutely a joy to work with. Anything we needed was immediately addressed. My hat's off to him for a property very well done. Can't wait to return! Beaches are only a short drive away and some are very secluded. Might want a 4 wheel drive vehicle to feel secure, as the roads on Tortola are very steep and in poor condition, like many of the islands.

WOW... Place in Tortola

Traveling a lot around the world, this is by far the best place we have stayed for vacation. This property floor plan is unreal. It was our little peace of heaven during our 8 days stay there. We loved returning to the villa after a day at the beach. it was so relaxing and located in the very quiet part of the island. The view from the villa overlooking brewer's bay was incredible. Someday, we just stayed at the villa because we loved it so much. Laying down by the pool or in the hot tub, having a drink at the bar, enjoying cooking on the huge BBQ, playing air hockey or simply reading and enjoying the fantastic sunset. We had a blast. Our two boys never got bored which is a first...To top it off, Tom the owner was so nice and incredibly helpful always available for us for any question we might have. We just got back from the villa and already planning on returning again with friends and family as quick as we can.

We have been to the BVI several times before and had decided to stay atop Brewers bay in this beautiful villa. Tom the owner met us at the airport and guided us to our new home for a week. I have to say, it was everything we wanted and more and such a great space for three couples! So comfortable and welcoming! We enjoyed cooking some of our own meals including Caribbean lobster in the beautiful outdoor kitchen as well as hitting some of the restaurants like Sky almost next door and Myetts at Can Garden Bay. All the comforts of home while enjoying the beautiful BVI! What more could you ask for? Tom and Cindy were great at helping us secure a car rental company as well as helping us order provisions to have at the house when we arrived. The only problem is that I wish we could have stayed longer!!! We will be coming back as soon as possible! Thanks Tom and Cindy!

Little Piece of Heaven on Brewers Bay

Just spent 8 days at Villa Margarita with our friends....what an amazing well appointed villa. This villa is beautifully decorated and has a great floorplan! Everything was just perfect.....from the amazing outdoor living space, pool & hot tub, comfortable king size beds, incredible views, well equipped kitchen & professional grill!! We loved showering outdoors every morning and looking out over Brewers Bay...breathtaking! We rented a boat and visited Jost Van Dyke & Peter Island...just minutes away! We've rented many villas in the Caribbean and this is one is Top Notch! The owners, Tom & Cindy, were wonderful hosts & available to assist us with any needs and answer all of our questions! Thanks for sharing your beautiful villa! We hope to make it back someday soon!

We were fortunate to spend a week over the holidays at VIlla Margarita. A very special place. One of the best equpped villas we have stayed in. Terrific condition, floor plan, and views. Looking out over Jost in the evening with a cocktail is about as good as it gets. And to top it off, the on site owners, Cindy and Tom, and extremely attentive and helpful! We will go back!

Villa Margarita is absolutely amazing! My wife and I live and work in the US Virgin Islands and had the opportunity to get away to Tortola this past April for a week. A Week at Villa Margarita is a Week in Paradise

Villa Margarita, located on a mountain top is about as close to Heaven on Earth as you can get. Mornings were spent rubbing our eyes while sipping coffee and thinking - Wow as we looked out over the Virgin Islands. My kids loved the pool and the game room. I also loved that I could relax, cook -- anything and always see them in the pool. If you enjoy cooking like I do, there is a fun outdoor kitchen and dinning area - and always the view. This was my first time saying at a villa rather than a hotel resort and I found it convenient, fun and wonderfully private. The property was just as lovely as its photos, perfectly maintained and the owners were very helpful. We would definitely go back!

Great place, reviews are spot on. Surprised the wife for a little "land R&R" after spending a week on a yacht charter in BVI. Needless to say, she was stunned when we pulled up to the house - the view is truly amazing. The pictures really don't do it justice. This home is like a mini private compound with 3 separate buildings, cozily nuzzled around the beautiful pool. Very peaceful and quiet. Decorated beautifully with all the amenities we needed. Very relaxing, especially after having to navigate the winding roads of Tortola (you'll see). Right up the road from Cane Grdn Bay, which was nice to hang out without going too far. This place must be great to have a whole family vacation, we're going to try and come back. Sitting by the pool, reading a book and listening to reggae in front of the ridiculous view - not much better than that! We highly recommend Villa Margarita, and Tom couldn't be more accomodating & nice.

My 4 friends and I stayed at Villa Margarita from 10/16/2009 - 10/23/2009. There are no words to describe how beautiful and gorgeous this villa is. The view was spectacular and the facilities were excellent. More importantly, Tom and Cindy were so kind and made themselves available to us 24/7. I HIGHLY recommend this villa to anyone who is planning to visit Tortola. The island is beautiful but what made our experience so much more memorable was the villa and the hospitality of Tom and Cindy. If we were ever to return for a vacation in Tortola, Villa Margarita will be our choice of stay again.

My wife and I stayed here May 2009 for our honeymoon. The pictures on the internet do not do the property justice, it is perfect in every way. One thing we noticed is that we never saw much of the island because we were perfectly happy staying at the villa and cooking poolside ourselves. Tom was great getting everything lined up prior to us getting there and then answering all our questions while we were there. We felt like we had a personal concierge (when we needed one). He even took us fishing, however, he did take the biggest fish for himself (just kidding Tom). We would definitely recommend this place to everyone and we are talking about going back before the years out.

My family visited Villa Margarita in March of 2009 for our spring break. As a travel agent and owner, I have had the pleasure of traveling extensively and have stayed in a vast number of villas throughout the Caribbean and Mexico. Villa Margarita exceeded our expectations and was truly a great fit for our family. The views from the villa are amazing and you never grow tired of the sunsets. The Grime's family did a fantastic job of creating, what my family loves the most, a great outdoor living area. The pool is the perfect size, the game room and bar sit right beside it as does the hot tub. We loved the outdoor kitchen and dining, it made cooking in a preference over dining out. We found Brewer's Bay our favorite beach and it was nearly deserted each and every time we went. While the roads are tricky to navigate at first it doesn't take long to find your way around the island. The Grime's family took much care and pride in building, designing and furnishing their villa, it's top notch and I will be happily recommending it to my clients.

My family and another spent a glorious week at Villa Margarita in mid-February, 2009 and have nothing but rave reviews. My wife, son + friend, and another couple with a 15-year-old daughter had nothing but relaxation, sun and perfect accomodations. Tom and Cindy will help you as much as you would like for them to, or leave you to your own devices - they have a very good sense of how to treat their guests, making this a terrific choice. The location is great - both for the views of the ocean and Jost Van Dyke - and for being able to explore all of Tortolla easily. We opted mostly for eating in and relaxing, using the game room, pool, hot tub and outdoor cooking and eating area each and every day. But we also drove down to Cane Garden Bay for snorking, Road Town for a little grocery shopping and both ends of Tortolla for exploring. We will come back and highly recommend this idyllic home to anyone who appreciates comfort and beauty!

We just returned from 5 nights at this amazing villa. It was everything and more! We had our 2 teenage sons and they loved hanging out at the pool and playing pool in the pool room. We especially enjoyed the beautiful outdoor showers with incredible views. Tom Grimes was so helpful and easy to deal with. We definitely would recommend this to anyone for a perfect place to stay while in Tortola. The location was very centrally located for any island activities.

FIRST CLASS! This villa is pure luxury. You will not be disappointed. Tom truly put his own sweat and heart into this villa and he has it covered from top to bottom in every possible detail and amenity you could imagine. The sunset views are breathtaking. It is great when a place is as nice as it looks on-line, it is incredible when it is ten fold better. Villa Margarita is the most beautiful villa and relaxing place I have stayed at in the world. Gorgeous sunsets over Jost van Dyke, relaxing by the pool with the kids (we have three girls) and they loved having their "own building", 10 minute drive to Brewer's Bay, a spectacular beach. We haven't even mentioned the host, hostess and their daughter, don't know where to begin to describe how nice they are except to say the BEST. We visited friends at other villas, Villa Margarita is number ONE.

Absolutely sublime! You will not be disappointed with this home. Secluded and peaceful. Beautifully built with great attention to detail. We have vacationed in villas throughout the Caribbean, and this was undoubtedly the most pleasureable stay. Villa Margarita was better than described. The house was built with alot of attention to detail. The views were beautiful and the house was very well equipped from loungers for the pool to coolers for picnics to everything you needed in the kitchen. The sheets and towels were very plush and the entertainment systems were great(ipod docking, computer,etc.). The owners were very helpful and really nice. We will definitely be returning. We give Villa Margarita an A+.

We spent our Christmas vacation here and had a wonderful time. The villa was better than described and the views were amazing. Our hosts were available 24/7 if we needed anything at the villa or just had a question about where to go, things to do on the Island,etc. We travel all over and this was one of our most memorable vacations. We would recommend this villa to anyone seeking a beautiful high end place to stay.

This villa was our familys best vacation ever. My husband and our 2 young children spend 10 days at this villa last november. The host was so friendly and willing to help w/ any of our needs. The kids played in the pool every day and we just got to lounge by the pool in complete relaxation. The view is like a picture, I have never seen such a pretty view, my husband and I stared at it for hours. It is also very quiet and peaceful but not far from the action. If you get a chance go visit the baths at virgin gorda, the kids loved it and the snorkeling was so amazing.
