We rented this home for our spring break from upstate New york. The house was absolutely beautiful! The views from most places in the house are spectacular.The owners were very easy to work with. I'm still a little sceptical everytime we do this, exchanging money with complete strangers. However, it was all done very professionally. The location was great being less than a mile from the pier so we could walk to enjoy it's amenities. However, most times, we had everything we needed right at Ocean Aire. The nights were quite cool so the heater in the pool was having a hard time keeping up. However, the owner was nice enough to refund the last 2 days for the pool heat after we told them that it was not warm enough to swim in the last 2 days. The first part of the week though, we loved swimming by day and night. We enjoyed the hot tub almost every night. The elevator was really helpful to load and unload. Oh, and the master suite is amazing!!! I would definately rent this house again if we were to return to Garden City in the future.

Perfect Beach House with Great Views

Ocean Air is a clean, well maintained oceanfront house that we felt right at home in the moment we checked in. The house is beautiful and more than we expected. The inspector Michelle was available 24/7 to answer our questions. It was a short 10 minute walk north to the Garden City pier, small amusement park, restaurants, arcades, and shops. Myrtle Beach was a short 15 minute drive north. We will definitely return year after year.

Ocean Aire provides an excellent place to vacation

Wonderful vacation Ocean Air is a great house, centrally located to numerous activities and restaurants, but has the capacity to make you feel like you are not in the mist of everything. Upon arrival, we found the house to be well decorated, clean and very attractive. The bedrooms are large and offer a place to seclude your self and curl up and read a book. Our family ranged in ages from one year to 83 years. The queen bedrooms located on the main level were great for the ones who need to use the elevator or have their child nearby. The game room on the upstairs level was a hit for the children and allowed the older folks time to converse and visit. There are numerous amenities to Ocean Air. The pool, the hot tub, and the covered porches, one ocean side and one street side. Two days of our vacation were raining but the rocking chairs and the dining table on the back porch gave us a good place to read, watch the ocean and listen to the rain. On sunny days, the back porch allowed us to eat our breakfast as we watched the dolphins enjoy their morning swim. The evenings were nice to walk the beach down to the pier and walk back to the house in the light of the full moon. Everyone in our party enjoyed the house and found our vacation to be very relaxing and enjoyable. The location is an extra benefit as the selection of excellent restaurants, good shopping districts and numerous activities are close and easy to find. The location and excellent beach frontage allows everyone an opportunity to select their pleasures. I want to thank the owners for allowing us to use their home for our vacation. The rental process was conducted very professionally and efficiently. The owners and Michelle were extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. I would highly recommend Ocean Air as a great house for a vacation.

Well maintained Immaculate Beach house with great views

The listing description accurately describes the location close to the Garden City pier. The listing photos accurately reflect Ocean Air's appearance and amenities. Ocean Air was clean and well-maintained. In fact my twin babies crawled on the clean floors all week and did not get dirty. The owner was helpful in answering your questions. I would heartily recommend Ocean Air to a friend.

Best Family Reunion On The Beach

My family arrived at the Ocean Air to find a perfect house that was well discribed on the listing, the house gave us the best back home feeling,we all worked together making breakfast and dinner and moms wonderful fudge. Dad and Mom celebrated their 50 anniversary this 2011and to top off got to vacate with their children,grandchildren and great grandchildren. This house is amazing and hopfully will be revisited by the Jones family. Pool and Beach was great the rooms gave privacy needed. Very clean! Thanks to the Andersons for sharing their home and very helpful with our questions.

Beach wedding

My family arrived on 8/27 and stayed until 9/3. We actually had our wedding on the beach 9/1, couldn't have had a better day. My mom is handicap, so the elevator was a bonus for to get around. Plus, we have five children, between the game room and the pool they were completely occupied. The home had every amenity we could think of. With a lot of our family living out of state, I would love to make this an annaul vacation.

We have, for many years, rented ocean and lake front homes for an extended family vacation. Over the years, we have covered the east cost from New Hampshire to South Carolina and we all agree that Ocean Air was the nicest of the large, water front homes we have ever rented. Most other homes, although have sleeping space for a large group, lack dining seating space, plates or other essentials. Ocean Air has it all, it is very obvious that the owners give a great deal of thought to making your stay in their home a very pleasant experience. The house is extremely well laid out both inside and outside with a beautiful pool and hot tub nestled into the back yard overlooking the ocean. The beach is among the most lovely we have visited, that includes vacation destinations like Hawaii and Aruba. We plan to book again in 2012 which is only the 2nd time we have re-booked at the same destination. Our extended family agrees that this is the spot we should consider an annual destination. We had a memorial family vacation and I would highly recommend this home.

Bechtold Family Reunion

We just had a family reunion after 14 years with family from all parts of the U.S. We were very fortunate to have found Ocean Air. The house is very accommodating meeting all of our expectations and more. With all of our family we never felt crowded and if you needed to excape you could. The property manager, Michelle, was attentive to our needs as well as the maintenance people and the owner was very easy to work with. Thanks to everyone for our exceptional time. The ocean was great too, no jellyfish and very few shells making the beach comfortable on the feet. Looking forward to the next visit.

We had 20 family members from ages 1 through 80 for the week of 4th of July. Ocean Air was more than we expected. Roomy, well-equipped, and comfortable, we found the house perfect for our needs. The owner and management company were very helpful when we had a problem with the upstairs air conditioning and it was fixed very quickly. We loved sitting out on the deck and watching the beach scene. The beach access was terrific and we spent much of our time on the beach or poolside. We would definitely return. Being so close to the pier and amusements was great for the kids and teens.

WOW, I was totally impressed with the cleanliness of the house. The house is very well maintained. We absolutely fell in love with the house. There are lots of great things for the kids to do and is great place for us older folks to kick back and relax. We love the location as it is not too far from things (Pawleys Island / Myrtle Beach attractions) and there is great restaurant close by; GulfStream Cafe. David and Eileen are great people and we look forward to doing more business with them in the future.

Awesome beach house

My family and I enjoyed staying a spring week at Ocean Air with wonderfully gracious hosts of David and Eileen. We loved checking in at the house at 4 PM instead of fighting crowds waiting in line at a realty's office.The ocean and inlet views are perfect without window dividers blocking the view. We walked daily to the Garden City pier 10 minutes north for breakfast and video games. The wide white beach was perfect, even at high tide. We plan to return again yearly.

We loved our week at oceanfront Ocean Air beach house in south Myrtle Beach, SC. The house was more beautiful than the pictures and video show and was clean and well maintained. We were able to check-in at the house on time and not at a remote realtor's office. The house's amenities and appliances was as advertised with no surprises. There are many nearby delicious restaurants. The Garden City pier is a short walk north. The Andersons and Michelle the inspector were polite, friendly, and available 24/7 to answer any questions. I would heartily recommend Ocean Air to anyone without reservation.

The Fair Family and Friends Fall Beach Trip September, 2010

The weather notwithstanding, our stay at Ocean Air was one of our most favorite annual trips to Garden City. The Andersons and their staff were on top of our every need. The house was extremely nice, comfortable and well-equipped which was of paramount importance to us because the weather kept us inside a considerable amount of time. We chose this property because it had an elevator and pool and hot tub. We enjoyed them all. We look forward to returning next year and would recommend this property with exceptionally high marks.

We really enjoyed staying at Ocean Air so much. The rooms were so large, there was so much for everyone to do. The pool was terrific, so was the hot tub. We really enjoyed staying at Ocean Air. The rooms were very large, and there was so much for everyone to do. The pool was terrific as well as the hot tub. We really enjoyed the elevator. It was great not having to carry our luggage up the stairs. I know you didn't have anything to do with the weather, but it was perfect all week. The beach was marvelous and so relaxing. Photography is my hobby, and I was able to take so many great pictures. The walkway to the beach and the rocks on the beach in front of your home made fabulous backgrounds for our pictures. Beautiful Home for Rent

We rented this home July 2010. The owners were great at answering questions and being helpful in general. This is a beautiful home. The photos do not do it justice. Lots of extras...my personal favorite was the extra ice machine!! Plenty of space for our large extended family. Great location. My only comment would be that the upper deck hot tub did not get hot (it wasn't a problem for us because the one downstairs worked great) and it would have been nice to have use of the second washer and dryer (locked in a room in master bedroom). We would absolutely rent this house again! Thanks for a great week!!

Owner response:There is only 1 washer/dryer at Ocean Air as of 1-20-2010. It is on the 1st floor, new in 2010, and available to our guests. We advertise and have 1 outdoors spa. It is on the ground floor beside the pool, new in 2009, and heats up to 104 degrees.

Great time

We just stayed a week-great times. Bedrooms were spacious and soundproof, walk to beach was terrific for our elderly parents, great place for large extended family. Only major issue was only 1 washer and dryer when listing said 2 were available. A few other minor issues which we noted and left on counter. Would recommend this place. Pictures were accurate, place was clean, was great having 1 large and 3 small refrigerators-do have to watch out that small frig door shuts all the way in kitchen. Definitely would recommend this as a great place to stay.

Dr. & Mrs. Anderson, Your beach house is absolutely beautiful. Fourteen of us came down for Bike Week and no one really wanted to leave the house. The location was great!!! Everything about this home is just amazing. I can't imagine ever staying anywhere else when we go back to South Carolina. (already booked for next Bike Week...) SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!!

What a great property! We rent a beach house every year at Thanksgiving, and this is the first one that we have not had to have the rental agents out to fix something! Every detail, from the furnishings to the lighting was very upscale and very well designed. The refridgerators, ice makers, and dishwashers were a godsend. Wow, what a home! We have stayed in many vacation rentals from the mountains to the beach and this was, by far, the best we've ever encountered. This is the most beautiful,best decorated beach rental house I have ever seen. It is so clean, new ,bright, and upscale. I own a rental house in Florida , and I am taking notes on ways to improve and upgrade my own rental house.
