Pictures of the place are great... but raise unmatched expectations. The home well used! Several lights were not working. Big screen TV on second floor looks like a fun place for family to gather around - didn't work. Had to call owner who was no help at all. No remote. Pushing every possible button combination on the side and finally managed to get a picture. TV picture quality is crap! It is a very old projection set. Bulb replacement warning. Couldn't watch it. Some how we locked the garage door with our rental car inside. No key to open it and when I called the owner for help, she recommended a youtube for breaking in with a credit card. When that didn't work, she suggested I get a locksmith at my expense. Bottom line, way too much stress and lack of responsibility for what could be a real liability... finally, the boyfriend came by without any announcement, somehow opened the door and left. The only communication was a text "door open". No apology... Heating system makes a periodic noise in the second floor bedroom all through the night... Left on the last day feeling I overpaid for our vacation - Disappointed! Great view! Totally not worth it!! I do not recommend.Owner response: Thanks for feedback. Unfortunately there aren't many repair people in Tahoe and they don't work on weekends. We can fix houses but not tvs. We replaced the tv but apologize that it wasn't working during your stay. Hopefully you enjoyed hot tub and upstairs great room tv. I texted you Sunday at 12:15 that we'd be there in 1 hourish for the locked door and you texted back OK. I came by in between real estate appointments and opened the man door to the garage and texted you so at 1:39. No one had previously locked that door but we since removed the lock. We'll look into heating issue. Thanks for letting us know.

Had an incredible time here. We all arrived after dark and were blown away by the view. The blue of the lake, bit pine trees, and several feet of snow. Couldn't ask for a better combo. Great house with amenities to spare. No big winners at the tables but a few of us had a chance to learn craps. Great time and great friends. Thanks so much and would come back in a heart beat.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/5

Four couples came together for an unbelievable time of fun, friendship, and incredible skiing. All neighbors from Tampa. Thanks - we grew so much closer in this wonderful house. Six months ago, Jeff and Joanne moved to Arizona and this was the perfect picturesque back drop for our reunion of friends. In the words of Greenday, which seems to be our new theme song, "I hope you had the time of your life". Of course we did....Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

What a glorious gathering! Our family came together to celebrate a milestone birthday for our mom and we all had a wonderful time. The house is a spectacular mountain home and we all enjoyed cooking together in the kitchen. Beautiful view and spacious for our group. We hope to make an annual trip here.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

We had such a wonderful time staying at your home. Everything was perfect. The size and accommodations suited our family and friends beautifully. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Thanks for sharing. Every morning we sat outside and enjoyed the view with coffee and breakfast. It'll be a weekend to remember.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

The house as a whole has a lot more wear and tear than the pictures depict. Pros - View from the 3rd floor is really nice - Size and layout is good for large family gatherings Cons - Communication from the property manager was quite bad. I really felt I had to do most of the leg work to get information that I felt should be readily available. Also had a last minute fire drill with my check in time that cost me more money and could have been completely avoidable had the property manager been more forthright the weeks leading up to my arrival. - As a whole the place is old and run down and really needs quite a bit of maintenance done for the prices they are charging. - Radiant heat on the 1st and 2nd floors barely keep the temperature liveable. The 3rd floor is fine but the other 2 floors get really cold even with the heat running all day. - Power problems throughout the house. There was no power in the master bath and one of the 3rd floor bed rooms. Throughout the house there were many outlets that also had no power. - TV in the master bed room doesn't work. - TV in the 2nd floor didn't work until I found a loose connection and fixed it. - Cable just run across the carpet on the 2nd floor. Tripping hazard especially for kids. - The caulking and grout in the bathrooms are old, dirty and peeling off in quite a few places. - Shower head in master bath sprays water everywhere unless you have it in the right angle. - Ceiling in the 3rd floor bathroom has water stains - Hot tub in master doesn't work - Hot tub on the deck has questionable cleanliness. - Most disturbing is there were a lot of rodent droppings in the dresser drawers and kitchen. I thought they were rat droppings. The property manager says it's squirrels. Not sure if one is really better than the other. Overall I'm not happy with the experience. Considering what they charge I really was surprised the place has so many problems. I understand 1 or 2 things but not a laundry list like we experienced.Did you find this review helpful? Coming from Miami, we enjoyed the great summer weather in Tahoe. No humidity and 80s every day. The house worked very well for us. The dishwasher stopped working on Friday evening. We called Karen who let us know the soonest a repair person could come was Monday. We let her know we weren’t thrilled with that situation and she came with her boyfriend Saturday morning and installed a new one. Great customer service! I’d highly recommend this house and owner.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We all arrived after dark and were blown away by the view in the morning. What a great way to wake up. Lots of space for our group of 11 and space for the "adults" and "kids". Adults got the great room on the top floor! Learned to play craps at the Hyatt and enjoyed happy hour at Lone Eagle. Great times. Great friends. Would come back in a heartbeat!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/5
