  The condo was in fantastic shape (you can see this from pics online) however more importantly it is stocked with EVERYTHING imaginable - utensils, sports gear, board games, DVDs, local information, everything. This was important to my family as we did a lot of sightseeing however we also spent time to make home cooked meals. It is a 5min walk to the pool which is great and there are walking trails all around - you can either go up and down the shore on rocky lava path to the other resorts or on Waikaloa Beach Drive with wide sidewalks that goes to the two main shopping areas. We went to 'A-Bay' beach which is a quick 5min. drive for amazing snorkeling. All in all everything at your fingertips. Will stay here again for our next trip.

  We've travelled to Waikoloa for a number of years and stayed at Halii Kai, a relaxing and quiet oceanfront community, several times. This stay was our first in 3A and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. We found all the information on the VRBO website to be accurate. Everything you need for a Hawaii vacation is there except for your groceries; just bring your clothes and bathing suit. During this visit the whales were breaching off-shore at the Ocean Club and the lava was flowing into the ocean at Volcanoes National Park. We had a wonderful stay at Halii Kai 3A and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Kohala Coast on the Big Island.

  My wife and I occupied this wonderful condo in late February and early March. The complex and unit are absolutely awesome. We are repeat occupants and have planned to visit again in the future. I do not think one can stay in a nicer place than this compex and especially this unit. The owners are wonderful. Thank you for allowing to share this very special place.   I recently rented this unit for my family. This condo was absolutely beautiful and comfortable for all. Lanai is overlooking a very picturesque golf fairway. The pool was spectacular with beautiful view of the ocean and we were able to see many whales. The food was good at poolside restaurant too. The property itself is so well manicured with beautiful flowers and trees. Loved It! If it is your first visit to the Big Island my two favorite restaurants or Roy's in the Kings Shopping Center and the Canoe House at the Mani Lani! The best!

  We have been to the Big Island over 15 times and have stayed in the Waikoloa beach resort area both at the hotels and condos. This condo at Halii Kai was one of the nicest we have stayed at. The unit is well maintained and everything was in working order. All the rooms had a flat screen TVs; and secure wireless internet. This unit also had a very nice outdoor grill on the lanai which we used several times. The pool, fitness facility were fabulous and are the best in the area. This unit is also priced VERY reasonably for the area and is a tremendous value. The owners were very responsive to any of our needs. The unit is also well supplied with beach gear. You could not go wrong renting this unit.

  What a gorgeous unit! This well appointed, ideally located condo is perfect for your Big Island stay! Our family (including 2 young children) visit Hawaii yearly and this is by far the nicest rental we've had. The owners have furnished the unit with every thing u could possibly need for your home away from home. From beach accessories, lawn chairs, a blender for piña coladas, to the fabulous BBQ grill, u won't want for anything. I even found a sewing kit when my husband lost a button! The lanai was wonderful and we grilled fish twice on the BBQ while watching the sunset. You will LOVE this high end complex and the pool won't disappoint. We will definitely return. My fond regards to one of the owners "Misty," she was just an absolute gem. Misty went out of her way to make our stay fabulous. What a gracious hostess. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.   We stayed for one week in Unit 3A and I will say it was beyond wonderful!! The owners have thought of everything! unit is very clean, spacious and comfortable. It is an upper end location with a view of the golf course and very nice balcony. BarBQ is on the balcony so you can cook and eat outside too! Close to everything, flat screens in every room and we especially LOVED the cooler, beach chairs and boogie boards that are in the unit so that you can enjoy days on the beach!! We frequented the pool area and spa almost every late afternoon we were there for a Happy Hour Mai Tai and it was great and views beautiful!! We dined at Browns Beach House and Beach Tree restaurants while we were there as well and loved the food and the beach settings at both. Truly, this is a fabulous unit with a fabulous location!! We can't wait to return!

  The condo was clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated, and the VRBO listing accurately describes both the condo and the resort. I enjoyed exploring Waikoloa on foot and A-Bay is not to be missed! The rental process went fairly smoothly and the owners were more than helpful, even giving me some decorating assistance :-) I would consider staying here again should my travels bring me back to the Big Island.

  I was privileged to stay at Unit 3-A at Hali'iKai a couple years ago and I must say, it was just wonderful. It is very well furnished , with everything you need and more. It is very clean, and in a beautiful location with clear air, a great climate and a charming club house area, complete with a warm sand bottom Jacuzzi! The owners are very good to work with and I could not have asked for anything more. Their place provides a great relaxing vacation for the whole family. I highly recommend it.

  We actually stayed at this unit twice: December 2010 and December 2011. The unit is equipped with everything you could need and we utilized the kitchen extensively. The west coast of the Big Island can get pretty hot, even in December, and the central air was wonderful--quiet & effective. We loved being close to the Hilton (tennis, spa, etc) and A-bay where we could see the turtles on the beach. Its a bit of a drive to Kona, but that was the only drawback. Parking is easy & convenient and I can't really think of anything that fell short. Last but not least, the owners give excellent directions regarding the location of the unit & how to get in. Can't wait to stay here again. Sincerely, the Witz Family.
