  We just got home from our stay at Hidden Dunes and loved it! The location of this cottage is perfect or will be when the weather is warmer. It was clean and well equiped. Literally a few steps out the back screened area to the pool. They were refinishing the pool but it was too cold to swim anyway. There was another available if we wanted to use it. I hope to return in the near future and hopefully this unit will be available. We have stayed for years at Sandestin and this was such a nice change. No traffic and quiet and much less in cost but just as nice (at least to me)

  Our stay at Hidden Dunes was very relaxing. It rained much of the time we were there (a month), so we spent considerable time in the unit. It was clean (except for the dishes/glasses on arrival--maybe just rinsed off?) and well maintained. We did need to fix 2 dining area chairs with the help of the maintenance guy, but otherwise the unit was updated and very cozy. The sofa and love seat could have been more comfortable--very low to sit in and hard to get out of for us old folks. We enjoyed the roominess and having all amenities (dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, cabel TV, Wifi etc) at our disposal. Very well stocked kitchen. The listing was very clear and described the property perfectly. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintanied. Great access to the beach, and we loved the screen porch right next to the pool!. Yes, we'd recommend this to anyone who wants a get-away for a week or more. So many restaurants in the whole area--we, and the other 2 couples we were with, did not have a bad meal, but we loved the convenience of Jordano's across the street for delivery of great pizza and chicken!! Shop at Publix for sure--great value and variety. We went into the central part of Florida to Ocala, Mt Dora, Bushnell, and Old Town (Kissimmee) for several days. Great places for antique car buffs. Thanks for the fun!

  Pictures do not do the place justice. From the arrival at the security gate, all the way through the grounds are just so clean and neat. The condo was the perfect getaway for our honeymoon. It was spacious and very comfortable. The owners have decorated it very nice in seaside decor. There were several snowbirds staying in the buildings surrounding the condo, but never heard any noise and all that we met were very friendly. The Hidden Dunes Resort were this condo is located is close to shopping and many fine restaurants. Highly recommend this place for couples who just want to get away and relax. Wife has already sugguested we go back next year for our first anniversary. Thanks for allowing us to rent your condo, we had a great time and many memories to share.

  My wife and I went for our first anniversary. We enjoyed our time at the condo but were very unhappy about the internet connection. Arrived on Friday to no signal at all, finally got connected Saturday around noon only to lose it around five. The reason this was so troublesome for us is that it was our first time to Destin and the computer was our source for restaurant info and reviews. We had searched before we left but had info stored online. Everything else was very nice and we enjoyed the condo but this really made it difficult to veiw our itinerary. Owners were easy to contact and responded quickly but details about the provider were not very clear

  All I can say is WOW! My family travels to Destin every summer. We have stayed in the luxury condos on the beach and Hidden Dunes Carolina Cottage tops them all! The description in VRBO is accurate - you are literally 5 steps away from a beautiful, large pool! My kids loved it! The beach is about a 5 minute walk through beautiful lush grounds OR you can call the tram service (8 passenger golf cart) and "Mr. Joe" will arrive promptly to take you to the beach - you will be there in about 3 minutes - and in just one call, he will pick you up and take you back! Inside the unit is as described; very comfortable, cozy environment. It has all the amenities you will ever need - truly a home away from home unit. The unit was very clean and inviting (and I am hard to please, haha). The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating; very quick to respond to any questions I had and allowed us to arrive early and stay late (it just so happened they had an extra night available). We didn't want to leave! Coffee on the screened porch overlooking the pool and a leisurely walk throughout the grounds to the beach at night to view sunset was perfect. I highly recommend this property! It is in the PERFECT location. You are on the out skirts of Destin - closest to Sandestin and away from all of the crazy traffic! We enjoyed going to Baytowne Wharf which is about 5 minutes away , we took the scenic route 30A to Santa Rosa Beach (quaint little community), and ventured off into town for some more dining out at Fudpuckers and the Back Porch. You are about a 5 minute drive to Silver Sands Outlet Mall - great place to go on a rainy day! On a side note - there is a new Walmart in Sandestin that is very nice - not crowded at all! Good place to stock up for the week! This will certainly be our new summer escape each year! We can't wait to go back! Thank you so much!

  We found the condo/cottage lovely. Clean, well maintained and fully equipped. The sunroom was an added bonus which led right out to the pool area. The area is quiet with security 24-7. We felt safe in walking at night through the complex. 5 minute walk to the Gulf. Dealing with the owners was a pleasure as they were quick to respond to any questions/concerns and were on top of everything. We would recomend the BBQ shack across the road and Jordanno's (pizza). We would and have recommended this place. Lovely vacation.

  This is the perfect location to the pool and perfect setting for a quiet and relaxing vacation. We have a 2 1/2 year old, so she loved being so close to the pool. The pool is the nicest we have had in Destin and is very big. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. There is also a golf cart service that will take you to and from the beach. The condo was very clean and very nicely decorated. Again, plenty of room for us and our daughter. Can't wait to visit again.

  We just got back from our stay at this condo and loved it. The location next to the pool is great - the screen in porch is so nice in the morning. We grilled steaks on the grills (which look new and very nice). The free WIFI was very nice to have. We will definitely be back. Great place to stay and this condo has a prime location.

  Hidden Dunes is a great place to stay. This condo is in a very nice location - poolside. Only about three steps to the pool. We liked not having to pack a cooler. We had our ipod playing on the screened in porch, so we could listen to it while sunbathing. It is a short 5 minute walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again. Nicely furnished, too!
