Rest, Relax and Unwind at the Pacific Coast

Year Purchased: 2005

Why the Owner Chose Moclips

My husband Rich, myself and our dogs have been visiting Moclips for over 15 years. We would walk the beach dreaming of someday owning our own vacation home. One day in January 2005 we took a random drive up SR 109 and stumbled upon the most overgrown decrepit property. We walked through the tall grass and took one look at the view and were totally wowed. We sat on the crumpled deck in back and looked at each other and said "I guess we're going to be buying this". After one year of living in the "shack" we coordinated our architect and builder and together designed Seashore Dreams which was completed in September 2007. We designed both homes with the view in mind - making sure whereever you went in the home you would see the ocean. We also wanted to make sure it was built green and we recycled the old building and built new with renewable resources, low VOC paints and clean in floor heat. Thus the Dream of a vacation home became reality.

The Unique Benefits at this Duplex Home

We are a side by side duplex - each home being individual can be rented by itself. It is also great for two families who want to rent side by side but still have privacy. Because we sit sixty feet above the beach and had a large lot, we made the home one level living but added a loft bedroom in each unit. The views are phenomenal and what people enjoy most about our homes. We were aging ourselves and thought making our home easily accessible (no stairs) would benefit a growing segment of our guests. We added ramp entries into the design, wider doorways and lower light switches to name a few. We created a bath that could accomodate a wheelchair and a rollin in shower. We are walking distance to the Museaum and the resort that offers a gym and swimming pool for a small fee. We are not in a development and are bordered by a windblown treed lot and another older home that is maintained but not occupied. One of the favorites of our lady guests are the jetted tubs in the master suite baths...very relaxing after a brisk walk on the beach below. Beach access is easy and just a short walk down Sunset Street.

One thing for sure is that it is a relaxing get away where you can choose to be active or you can choose to just sit and watch the ocean.

E

F

Owner's Map of Moclips

My husband and I became "ocean loving people" about 15 years ago after many years of backpacking in the hot, bug infested mountains. We enjoy the fresh air of the coast, the sounds of the pounding ocean and watching the storms come and go. I love photography and find this a great retreat to help get my creative juices going again. We have been dog owners and trainers for many years and we wanted a place to be dog friendly for us and for responsible guests with clean, well trained dogs.

    • We have stayed in both Seashore Dreams I and II and feel at home on either side. Everything we need for a peaceful, relaxing weekend is in the rental and, most of all, just outside the wall of windows that looks down at the crashing waves. In good weather and bad, this is the place to enjoy the beach. DeAnne and Rich always make sure to leave the little extras that make us and our little dogs feel like special guests.

    • If you are going to stay on the west coast of Washington, this is a great place to choose. We stayed at Seashore Dreams I for a week. The home is beautifully decorated and it is clean...clean...clean! I cannot stress that enough! The home was cozy, and had everything we needed for our stay. The views were breathtaking. Using the telescope, I saw a porpoise jumping in and out of the water in the ocean within five minutes of arriving! The house was spectacular in its lay out and design. I really felt comfortable here. I would recommend it to anyone. You will not be disappointed, and the owners were available by email for any questions I had. They were wonderful. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. The beach is clean and quiet. The sunsets, amazing. If you want a quiet and relaxing place to stay, this is your place.

    • I just spent 5 amazing days with the 18 people who run the divisions of my company, Together We Can Change The World, Inc. Those who stayed in Seashore Dreams loved it! We laughed, we cried, we had tons of fun, and we firmed up our commitment and our plan to use our gifts and talents to rock this world in a way it's never experienced! Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful place to stay. We shall return!

    • Beautiful place to stay and enjoy the view of the ocean. Nicely decorated, very comfortable and the extra touches made it easy to relax. It was wonderful to be able to bring the dogs. Had one rainy day and after a wet walk on the beach, built a fire and watched movies from the large dvd collection that is offered. Great kitchen to prepare meals, don't think too many restaurants can offer a view like this one has. All agreed we had to leave way too soon!!!

    • This is an absolutely delightful place for a vacation stay on the Washington Coast. The view of the Pacific Ocean from the cliff is spectacular. The unit is beautifully furnished with a completely equipped kitchen. There is plenty to do - from walking or driving on the beach to watching the small boats crabbing. An added plus is that the units are designed for easy handicapped use. There is a ramp to the front door and one bathroom has a wide door and a roll in shower. Since one of our party is in a wheelchair, this design was perfect.

    • We stayed in Seashore Dreams II for 3 wonderful nights after the holidays. It was great to find such a perfect place to unwind. The pictures of the unit don't do it proper justice. Not only did it have everything you can imagine, but there were many other "little" things DeAnne and Rich have considered that make it even more comfortable. It was also spotless on arrival which can't be easy so close to the beach. Views are incredible from the downstairs and even more so from the loft bedroom up the spiral staircase. Even has a garage to park in. We had a great time and hope to enjoy it again soon. You can't go wrong here!!!
