First floor unit in a quiet, golf course-cloistered complex about 300 yards from Pinehurst clubhouse where five courses start. Enjoy signature spa treatments using local ingredients. Ten minute walk to Pinehurst’s National Historic District, hotel, spa, village restaurants, shops, and seasonal equestrian events.
Many of the Pinehurst Resort amenities are available to the general public. These include a world class health and fitness spa, all hotel restaurant facilities, the golf pro shop, clubhouse dining room and Veranda Bar. Enjoy a drink at the Veranda Bar and watch golfers play to the 18th green of Course No. 2. On some Sundays, the pin is placed exactly where Payne Stewart made his historic par putt to win the 99 US Open.
We can arrange a limited number of daily guest passes which will allow dining in the Members Club, use of tennis and croquet courts, 3 outdoor pools and marina (sand beach, boat and canoe rentals). Sunday's Fairway Breakfast across Highway 5 at the Members' Club (about $13 including tax and tip) has become very popular with our guests. We enjoy helping you figure out just which of Pinehurst's many joys fit your schedule and will make you want to come back. As our guest you can play six Pinehurst courses, including Course No. 2, at unaccompanied guest rates. Guest greens fees on Pinehurst resort courses are reduced by one half 3 to 4 hours before dusk. Depending on date, owner may be able to accompany guests, which results in lower greens fees.
There are many really outstanding courses within a 20 mile radius. Our favorites are Tobacco Road, Anderson Creek, Talamore, Little River, Legacy. Information and special offers for all Pinehurst area golf courses are available. Other interesting local attractions are the world famous pottery district which begins about 15 miles west of Pinehurst. The Sandhills Horticultural Gardens are about 10 minutes away, Cameron antique district about 20 minutes. The Pinehurst Harness Track is across the street with it's endearing Track Restaurant.
Our mid-century modern condo gives new meaning to Pinehurst’s “casual elegance”. Low-slung Barcelona chairs, Italian arc lamp, New York and California themed prints, designer dining chairs, textural Mexican tile floors, capiz shell placemats, plantation shuttered windows, Amish quilt, glass, chrome, and oriental rugs all take you back to the era of modern elegance before our condos were built. Be at home with your history! If you want to live a little "green" while on vacation, we make it easy. You'll find a recycling bin, you may choose cloth towels instead of paper if you wish, cloth napkins are on the table, a recycled grocery bag may be in the wastecan, and kitchen boasts service for 10 so your dishwasher will be fuller before use. High speed wireless internet access for your laptop. TV and DVD in bedroom and living room. Rear porch overlooks 18th fairway and green of Course No. 5.
On your way to Florida and need a break from I-95? Pinehurst is a quiet oasis about half way between NY and Florida. You can get off I-95 at NC Exit 138 and follow US64 around Raleigh to US1 and on to Pinehurst (about 2 hrs. total). It is about an hour from Pinehurst to I-95 at the NC/SC border, then about 6 hours to Jacksonville, FL. Get in a morning round of golf in the Pinehurst area before heading off to Florida. Using the airports in Southern Pines (15 minutes) or Raleigh (about 1 1/2 hours) are, of course, also options. North Myrtle Beach is about 2 hours and 15 minutes to the south. Plenty of shopping in Myrtle Beach and the ocean is warm enough for swimming from mid May through the end of September. You could continue your golf vacation in Myrtle, too. Guests have also visited enroute to/from Hilton Head and Outer Banks. Weddings, football games, and family reunions (in addtion to golf, of course) have all brought people to our Pinehurst condo. We have many repeat guests.
Coin-operated washer and dryer (we supply the coins) are available in a separate building across the parking lot. Full sized appliances, hair dryer, iron, linens, towels, cooking and eating utensils provided. No pets or outdoor cooking. Smoking outside. Pickup trucks and recreational vehicles are not permitted (parking for these vehicles is available at parking lot before entering complex). This serenity is especially for you.

Why the Owner Chose Pinehurst
Nearing retirement, during most of the 1990's, we had a big house about 3 fairways away from our current condo. Walking through the back Camellia bushes onto the golf courses became "the field of dreams". Homeexchanges allowed us to share that home and live as a resident in other interesting places. However, we decided to move our "big house" to near Philadelphia where we visit with our young grandchildren. Missing our Pinehurst membership, we bought our 1 bedroom condo from a New Jersey architect - regaining our "Camelot". Since 1986 we also have had a small townhouse in Sanford, NC--just 30 miles up the road.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
One of our favorite activiities is watching golfers finish their round on #2--sometimes even in pouring rain--while we enjoy a beverage on the covered Member's Club veranda. A new discovery of ours is the outdoor hot tub at the Carolina Hotel which is available to members and their guests according to schedules established by Pinehurst Resort. If we are not around when you visit we usually arrange to have someone from Homeminders of Pinehurst meet you. Sometimes, when between guests, we stay at our Pinehurst home and enjoy the serenity, too.
Clubhouse for courses 1-5. Member's Club, Donald Ross Grill, lawn bowling and croquet courts.
Historic landmark hotel with fine dining, spa, casual Ryder Cup lounge, outdoor pool and more.
Endearing, historic restaurant. A favorite of golfers, locals, and horsepeople.

We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful well appointed condo. It was clean and well kept with lots of special touches. Perfect location, close to many golf courses and walking distance to the village. Phil and Margaret were very helpful, booking golf and recommending restaurants.

We enjoyed our weekend in the condo! First night, we ordered in pizza from Vito's and it was delicious. Ate at The Track restaurant, walking distance, every morning. The Track is a must for breakfast or lunch! Went and watched our son play at the beautiful NCCC courses and the last night we ate at Thai Basil's, which was yummy! Condo is super clean and very cozy and the the golf course view room was a plus. I couldn't believe how quiet everything was around us so two nights of really good sleep.
Owner response:Early morning walks to the Track Restaurant are even better in winter when trotters are exercising. Some drivers seem to sing as they go round and round. Horse's breaths add to the morning mist--a little magic gem in the midst of all that is Pinehurst.

If your looking to stay in a great location; quiet & private but convenient to everything, you should consider this condo. We stayed for 2 weeks and wished we could have stayed longer. The first floor location with parking in front made it easy to come & go. I enjoyed playing the local courses all at great deals thru GolfNow. My wife, not a golfer, enjoyed riding with me or simply enjoying the condo patio relaxing or watching the golfers play by. The owners Phil & Martha really though of everything and were a pleasure to work with. We look forward to returning in the spring for an even longer stay.
Owner response:Some of our repeat guests begin thinking of our condo as like a second home. . .

This is a super nice, immaculately clean and generously equipped condo. We had a great 4 nights stay at a very reasonable price. Although we don't golf, there were more than enough area attractions to keep us occupied each day. Loved visiting the pottery shops, antique stores and historic villages. Highly recommend this property.
Owner response:Recent guests have also participated in a croquet tournament and equestrian activities.

From football fans visiting for ACC game (their team won) and golf: Thanks. . . We're sitting on the plane in Raleigh-Durham now. We had a great trip! Thanks so much for the use of your condo. It is wonderful! It truly is just a hop from the clubhouse. I had the chance to play courses 5, 2 and 4. I enjoyed them all very much! It's hard to beat the prestige of No 2, but they were all gorgeous. Stayed out of most of the sand on 4, so that was good. We hope to make it back soon! . . . Thanks again for the great stay! We hope to get back soon and if we do, we'll most definitely be checking on your condo's availability. Thanks so much!

You guys thought of everything that helped make the first leg of our vacation the best it could be. You will hear from us again!"
