Island View Cottage is located across from Big Island on Lake Annabessacook. Lake Annabessacook is a 3 1/2 mile body of water in the Towns of Monmouth and Winthrop. Public boat landing is nearby. Dock your boat in front of cottage or bring your kayaks and store them in our boathouse with easy access to the water.
Enjoy fishing, swimming and boating on the lake. The Theater at Monmouth features live theater at Cumston Hall and is designated as “the Shakespearean Theater of Maine." Monmouth is minutes from the State’s capitol of Augusta where you will find shopping, fine dining and historical sites. Freeport’s famous L.L. Bean is only 30 miles.
Island View Cottage is available the first week of May through the last week in October. It offers a large master bedroom, full bath and open kitchen, dining and living/sunroom downstairs and two large bedrooms and half-bath upstairs. We have provided board games and activities for your family to enjoy. The living/sunroom looks out to the lake with a gorgeous view of Big Island. The same view is unobstructed while dining inside or cooking dinner in our fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy dining on the lake on a concrete platform which extends over the water.
