  Great privacy! Wonderful staff! This place had it all! We even had a US land line that costs us nothing to call home! Everything was at our fingertips! We will for sure be recommending this to our friends and family!

  Our family had a wonderful stay at Villa Costa Brava. We have 6 month old twins and the villa was perfect for us as we could have the babies nap in the house while we were outside in the pool (with the monitor). The house and grounds were georgeous and the kitchen well equiped. The management company arranged for us to rent some baby equipment which was in the villa when we arrived. Our rental car was also at the villa when we arrived. Everything was smooth and easy and the beach and view unbeatable. It was a recipe for success for us with small children but would have been equally wonderful as a couple or with friends. The beds were comfortable. The only small critisism I have is that the water took a long time to get hot in the bathrooms and the water pressure was sometimes weak. But other than that I have not complaints. Having a washer and dryer was also key with small babies and they work very well.The maid comes every other day which is probably unnecessary, and she washed all the towels and sheets many times - again probably unnecessary (not very environmentally friendly). But it was nice all the same to have this service. I would definitely come again to this villa.

  The property is a bit dated but was very clean upon arrival. It was cleaned every second day after arrival, but never to the same standard and communication was a challenge as the very nice cleaning lady did not speak any English. We all laughed and gave up after hand signals etc failed comically. The biggest problems for us were ants. Ants were everywhere in the kitchen area, but the fridge, everyday. The manager agreed. It was an on going biggest complaint he said. They had tried a service but no luck. He was good enough to ensure we had a can of spray ant killer. But they became pretty busy, showing up in the microwave, the dishwasher, the kitchen counter and toughest of all in the counter top bottled water. The pool was nice but as the weather cooled and the rains came in the second week the pool cooled significantly and did not heat back up to the comfortable advertised 85 degrees. But the pool was kept very clean. Other be aware points that might matter to some renters are noise related. The home behind this home has family like parties on the weekend and the kids love to scream in their fun time in the pool and that can go one past 11:00pm. It is happy fun not ugly noise, but it is non stop. There is also lots of highway noise as the home is but 100ish feet from a 4 lane highway. Also a major building development has started 2 doors over. There is construction noise. The owner makes note of construction noise in the contract you sign and let's you know he can not be responsible. Fair disclosure on his part. The bed is comfortable. New big screen in the living room. Lots of spa ish shows and limited English but we were not there to watch TV, so no biggie. Gardens are well kept. Gardners use no motorized blades or blowers. How very wonderful. And the beach is nothing less than wonderfully clean, long, beautiful and. Has few visitors. The beach is magic. Hope this was helpful.

  Owner response: The property manager fumigated and reports that the ants are no longer an issue. A sensor on the pool heater was replaced as the pool is normally a comfortable temperature. (85 degrees) The reported construction is two blocks (100 yards+) from the property.

  First, the management company was one of the best I have ever dealt with either on VRBO, or otherwise. ESSV is extremely professional with a great attention to detail, before the trip and upon arrival. They had a pitcher of margaritas waiting for us upon arrival. Nice touch. They had a rental car waiting, also great service (Avis, Dreams). We stayed as a couple, which was very affordable in the off season. It was plenty large enough for two couples, or a couple with 2-3 kids. The bedrooms are on the opposite sides of the house, and every one has access to the pool. Master bedroom and bath is big with large walk-in shower and very large double vanity sink. PLENTY of towels and sheets. The bed is a little funny, and feels high in the middle, but it's comfortable enough. The other two bedrooms were a double and a double/twin. Because every room looks out on the pool, the rooms aren't super-private. You can always shut your shade if you are changing or something. But, you'll want to keep those windows open at night to watch the sunrise, and to hear the ocean! Kitchen has everything you could need. Very well stocked. The housekeeper keeps it extremely clean (service every other day). We were spoiled. We ate in for half our meals, which was nice. Although, the Marbella suites next door has a great restaurant as well. The washer and dryer were very clean and new. I think they work better than the ones I have at home! I spent every day next to the pool. Boy, do I miss it. I can't tell you how much more relaxing it is to have your own private pool versus fighting for chairs at a resort. Wow wow wow. It is truly private as there are bushes surrounding the yard. Someone comes to clean it every other day, but it may still get a bunch of leaves in it. Big deal. There's a net... The beach is very close, like a block away. There is quite a big hill down to it, and it isn't a flat "running" beach like many other places. Sand is larger-grained and a challenge to walk in. The sunrises and watching the waves is amazing and make up for everything. I don't swim, so I can't tell you how safe it is. I saw a guy tending turtle eggs, and watched pelicans hunt every morning. Almost no one was ever there when I was there, so the beach felt as private as the pool. While we were there, it had recently rained, so there were about a million ants, flies, mosquitos, bees, dragonflies, cockroaches.... This is hardly the fault of this unit though. At least it was green in Cabo!

  Owner response: I am so happy you loved my vacation home! There were large waves from recent summer tropical storms causing the beach to erode and become steeper. During winter and spring the waves are typically much smaller making the beach very nice for walking and swimming. P.S. The master bedroom has a new king size memory foam bed.

  This was the perfect spot for our family vacation. Our two grandaughters had a blast in the pool and at the beach. The service was the best and the catered breakfast, well lets just say their attention to deal was 5 star. Will be back for sure

  This was one of the best vacations we have had, the villa was exactly as it looks in the pictures and it was very clean and very well taken care of. Alisha came in every 2 days to clean and she did an amazing job, the pool was taken care as well as the garden area. If you plan on spending a fair amount of time away from the villa then I would recommend a car rental, but it was easy to get a taxi. The villa is so beautiful that we only left to get groceries....the beach is right there for your morning walks. We watched the whales from the patio and the cruise ships going into and out from Cabo San Lucas...Wonderful vacation:)

  Took family of seven and stayed at Costa Brava for spring break 2011. Great layout with pool, great outdoor deck and dining area, clean and roomy. Owner and villa coordinators very helpful and accurate in property description and amenities. Pictures don't do it justice compared to seeing it for real. Fantastic views of Sea of Cortez, including whales sighted off shore from the house. Lots of amenities and easy to get to/from Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo via rental car - we rented car but bus stop by next door suites hotel. Beach almost private, not too many people on this beach locale, although surf is very rough thus no swimming. But took kids to main beach in Cabo for swimming. Family had great experience. We can't wait to go back!

  Owner response: Note: The surf varies depending on the time of year. Spring, Summer and Fall typically has calmer surf conditions. We swim, snorkel, body surf and boogie board as conditions allow. Two excellent protected areas for swimming and snorkeling are located within a 5 minute drive at Chileno and Santa Maria Bays.

  We truly enjoyed our stay at Costa Brava! The view was amazing and we saw whales many times from the patio - often breaching (I'd recommend bringing binoculars during whale season). The pool was great - the privacy and the size was perfect - and often the small "kiddie pool" was warm enough to be used like a hot tub. The beach was a short walk down the private drive. We did play in the waves and felt safe enough to do so. The beach is beautiful and there is hardly anyone on it! Location was great as we had a rental vehicle - it was nice to be close to both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo (as well as Costco)! We utilized the outdoor dining table every day for all meals - the view couldn't be beat. The house was a good size for the 4 of us (not too big to get lost in and not so small that you don't have privacy if you want it) and both couples had a sliding door to the pool area. We will definitely recommend this option to friends and we'd book it again if we get the chance!

  This property could not have been better for myself and the others traveling in our group. Our group consisted of 3 couples and 2 children (11 months and 2 and a half). We had never booked a villa before, always opted for all inclusive holidays at resorts. So we were a little concerned with what the Villa would be like when we got there, pictures can be deceiving. But I have to say what you see is what you get in this case, the pictures look just like the Villa when you get there. The Villa is very nice, cozy, clean and a nice size for a group. The view is beautiful, access to the beach is just a very short walk down (the walk is a little steep coming back up, but not bad at all), it is in a safe gated area. The bus stop is right across the road so it's easy to go into downtown Cabo or San jose (both are about 15 min away) we rented a car and in the end we really didn't need it. There is a small convenience store across the street as well as a restaurant, and a boutique hotel/resort just down the beach that has spa services and a restaurant. The location was just perfect for us, the beach was amazing! Nice soft sand and very private. The pool was a great perk, most of our days were spent there, and we saw whales almost every day from the patio. The only down side was that the bathrooms all had stand up showers, so it wasn't great for bathing the children, but it's manageable as the showers are large. I wanted to mention that the master bedroom is wonderful, it's quite large with his and hers sinks, a seperate shower and toilete with small closet, as well as a desk. The maid service was also great, the lady was very nice and did a great job. All of our dealings with Cabo Villas was great as well, they were quick to respond to questions and made booking the Villa and shuttle very easy. We really enjoyed our time at The Costa Brava, we hope to make it back some day. You can noy go wrong booking this Villa!
