Lovely house. Well built and maintained. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They met us when we arrived and toured the house with us, explaining its features. They also helped us after the visit as VRBO double charged our credit card. The house is convenient to downtown Prescott restaurants and shopping. Very nice furnishings. Very clean. Great views. Thumb Butte is especially prominent. BTW the Thumb Butte hike is an especially nice way to spend a couple of hours in the afternoon. The trail offers gorgeous views of the Prescott valley. If you like Thai food, give Thaifoon a try. It is near the town square on W. Goodwin. It is a 10 x 30 ft kitchen (no dining area) owned and operated by two Thai ladies. Great conversation and great authentic Thai food. They will set up a table for you on the sidewalk if you like. This was a great mini-vacation.

The views were amazing and the house was very warm and cozy! We plan on going back again and this is for sure the place we will be staying! Thanks Bonnie and Bill!

My wife and I are retired and we have been traveling a lot the past year or so and we have rented houses all over the country-this is definitely one of the best! Clean, comfortable, and well appointed-a real home away from home. Great location, views etc. The only thing better than the house are the owner's-Bill & Bonnie are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay-did day trips and explored Prescott-I will highly recommend this property to friends and family and we plan to come back Hank Austin, Texas

We stayed at this beautiful, conveniently located and well-maintained property from November 24-26, which included Thanksgiving. Our hosts could not have been more friendly and approachable and they responded quickly and helpfully to our questions about the area and the house. The home is located in a residential neighborhood in a hilly and picturesque area of Prescott, very close to the historic downtown, as well as needed amenities. Although our hosts had a home adjacent to our rental, the layout of their property assures privacy and a feeling that you are alone at the top of the hilly road leading there. We will definitely be back and recommend this lovely home to couples and families alike.

We had a lovely visit to Prescott; the guest house was impeccably clean and very comfortable. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet the owners because they were away; however, they answered all our questions through email and telephone conversations. In addition, they went out of their way to send me some items I left in the house, for which I am very grateful. We were most impressed by their friendly and helpful attitude. My only criticism is that the house was a bit over-decorated for my taste, but we loved the peace and quiet and the views of Thumb Butte.

What a lovely little home, with all the comforts. The views are wonderful and the hosts are absolutely the best. They made us feel very welcome and very much alone. It proved a wonderful opportunity to relax, unwind and enjoy a couple of days! Our only disappointment was discovereing the location was in the midst of a residential area. Still very quiet and private, just not an opportunity for our dogges to run free. But even with that now being known, we would still highly recommend and hope to return.

We chose this house because of the great location, just minutes from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, downtown dining and shopping, hiking and wonderful views. The house was so comfortable, marvelous beds, nice kitchen, coffee on the front porch looking at the view. Even the thunderstorms were great, with views of distant lightning. I couldn't stop taking pictures of the clouds. Even though this was a sad event, leaving our youngest child at college, having this nice home to stay in helped to soften the blow. Bill and Bobbie are such wonderful hosts, available to answer all our questions and help us in every way. I am sure we will be back!

We would definitely visit this home again. Very upscale, comfortable everything, and great views. The owners were very friendly and helpful, yet allowed for our privacy. It was especially nice to receive such a warm welcome for our dogs, which we treat like our kids. The property was also beautiful...lots of space to go for a walk.

What a delightful stay! The accommodations were lovely, sparkling clean and included all the comforts of home. We enjoyed being away from the center of town and yet a few minutes drive found us at Lynx Lake, Goldwater Lake and the hiking trails. Grandkids kept us busy in the evenings playing an assortment of games. We brought 8 DVD's from home and never watched one! The owners are delightful and gracious. We'll be back soon. Morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine on the swing was so relaxing. Marlene

This place is at the top of a hill with beautiful views and porch and owned by a lovely couple. Bobbi and Bill were very helpful and had good suggestions of restaurants and things to do. The home is well appointed with granite countertops, comfortable furniture and all the dishes, appliances and grill needed to cook anything. It is tastefully decorated and not stark like some of the places we have stayed. The furniture and decor is warm and inviting and the beds are super comfortable. The place has games, puzzles, and many western videos. Rarely did we use the AC as the breezes and ceiling fans were plenty to stay cool. Prescott is a wonderful community with lots to do, a downtown square with fairs and concerts and the county boasts 400 hiking and biking trails close by. One can quickly escape to the mountains and pines in 10 minutes, or be in Sedona in 1 1/4 hours. Also, the music scene in Prescott is not to be missed. We stayed for one month and loved it. Also, the price is right compared to many of the homes listed. We will be back next summer.

We chose this location because of the reviews, and we were not disappointed. The owners met us upon arrival and they could not have been nicer. My dog and I stayed at this vrbo the month of June. The experience was so pleasurable I hope to make it an annual excursion. The house is new, large, amply furnished, very clean and well maintained. It is perfectly located: on a high elevation from which mts can be seen in all directions; in meticulously groomed landscaping; and, in a setting that feels secluded but from which downtown and all other destinations are easily and quickly reached. The owners, who live behind the house, are friendly, helpful and quick to respond to any need or request; they go out of their way to make quests feel at home without being intrusive. Prescott was a wonderful place to visit; I especially enjoyed buying fresh produce at the Saturday Farmers' Market, freshly baked bread at a cafe downtown, delicious meals at unusual restaurants and necessities at the local Costco. The dog and I took lunch up to Goldwater Lake Park a couple of times and watched visitors quietly boating and fishing; the cool breezes were welcomed, It was a delightful place to go to escape the summer heat of southern AZ. I plan to do it again next year.

Let me first say that this was our second stay at Bill & Bobbie's clean, comfy, and peaceful rental. We were lucky to have spent Memorial weekend here on such short notice. Most of our baseball team decided to stay in motels in Prescott and Prescott Valley, but for $20 more a night and a small cleaning fee, having the comforts of "home" to return to each day, was so worth it and so much better for a family of five and a dog! The location is perfect. It sits on a hill with gorgeous views and it's close to downtown Prescott and a short drive to Prescott Valley. Although it's close to all the modern conveniences of shopping, dining, etc...it's a private retreat to come home to each day. Our kids felt safe and comfortable, which is important to us. Although we had some unexpected issues come up with our checking in and checking out, Bill & Bobbie were very understanding, cooperative and helpful! By the way, Bill is great with directions and we have to thank him for mapping out an alternate route to get us home quickly and safely! What a pleasant, surprising drive that was...enjoyed it much better than sitting in one lane of Memorial weekend traffic. Many thanks to you both and we hope to return to your lovely home next year!

Comment Text: My wife and I stayed in August of 09 while house hunting. We loved the unit and found the hosts to be very nice and full of useful information on the area. The views from the yard are panoramic and the unit is nicely furnished and comfortable. Bill and Bobbie made us feel right at home and even treated us to wine on the patio. We would highly recommend this unit.

My husband, 5 month old son, and I just spent the long labor day weekend in this beautiful vacation home which has wonderful hosts. The kitchen has everything you could want to cook a wonderful meal and the rooms are large enough to really feel comfortable. Bill and Bobbie are wonderful hosts who know so much about the Prescott area and are happy to share ideas of how to see what is best about Prescott, AZ. Bill and Bobbie have a wonderful vacation home and are great hosts. My father and I and three dogs had a thoroughly relaxing, well equipped stay, and after a delay in arriving due to a medical issue, the Peterson's invited us to stay on after our original departure date so we could take advantage of our full weeks scheduled stay. Great hosts! And our dogs loved the property grounds.

This home in Prescott is an ideal vacation get-away with a “Western” flavor. My family, friends & I spent an entire month living here and using it as a “home base” for day trips in the area. It has everything you need, the best beds in town, wonderful hosts and views that are stunning. We watched the shadows changing on Thumb Butte from the front patio, the July 4th fireworks from the side yard, and enjoyed the large landscaped grounds immensely. The Peterson’s have a truly lovely rental home to share. Enjoy! Kathy Headrick 2001 HGTV Dream Home Winner

Our family of five, along with our dog, stayed here over the weekend while our son played baseball in Prescott & Prescott Valley. The home was conveniently located near to downtown Prescott and a short 10-15 min. drive to Prescott Valley. Although our stay was short, we thoroughly enjoyed Bill & Bobbie's hospitality and their comfortable, clean, and peaceful rental that provided everything we needed, including a washer and dryer. From start to finish, this was an exceptional experience! Simple transaction, no hidden expenses, no confusing details. This was our first experience using VRBO, and I feel lucky to have found this particular rental in Prescott! Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here with our 3 teenage sons while visiting friends and before heading up to Lake Powell. The home was beautiful and very comfortable. Staying in a home is so much more enjoyable and relaxing than a hotel, especially with children. There is a food store within a short distance and it was so nice to make breakfast in the morning without having to go out. Being able to do a load of wash made it even sweeter. Bobbie and Bill were so easy to deal with and very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again when we go back to visit our friends.
