What a wonderful 4 days my daughter and I and her dog spent here!! The property is gorgeous and the vistas from the windows are fantastic!! The kitchen is well-stocked and we cooked many of our meals here and even used the outdoor grill one evening. My daughter caught quite a few fish in the pond....some large ones too and the dog thoroughly enjoyed his huge yard and exploring on his many walks. We did go into the Dells and even won some money at Ho Chunk Casino. It was a very enjoyable, memorable time spent with my busy daughter....we can only imagine how beautiful it must be here in the fall!! This truly was tranquility at its best for two city girls and their dog!!

We decided to go on a short trip to this home based on the description, pictures and previous reviews. We were very pleased! The pictures can only say so much about this beautiful property. The house is absolutely stunning! There will be plenty of room for everyone, even if you have a larger family or group. Two living room areas make it easy to lounge out at any time of the day and not have to argue over programming. Just let the kids watch in one area and the adults can be in the other! The views and sounds of nature are like nothing any city person such as myself can experience at home. It really is just you and nature, no neighbors around to disturb you. The pond is a pretty decent size and many times of the day it was cast and catch. I used bee moths and worms and was surprised to be catching large fish, mostly bass. My dog came along and it was very nice to be able to walk him around on a long leash. A place of this size in the Dells would cost at the very least 3-4 times more than this lovely home would. I suggest considering this as a Dells alternative. The drive to the Dells is not very long, maybe 15 minutes. Do the Dells during the day, your waterpark and other outings, and arrive to this beautiful home to end your day. The kitchen has everything you could ever need, just do some grocery shopping when you get there. There is a store 15 minutes away in Reedsburg that we went to and there are many services in that town as well that are probably cheaper than the Dells grocery and services. If you have a Garmin or other navigation it will lead you to the road the house is on so there is no need to be worried about finding anything. Overall my experience was excellent! The house really does have everything you could need!

Hello Tracy, We had a wonderful time this past week. We enjoyed some great walks, playing the arsenal of games we brought for the occasion, puzzles, good food, and of course memorable family time together! I have attached a picture of your home in the night time sky. You should add moon, planet and star gazing to your web site! My husband got a telescope for Christmas from our children. We were amazed as we viewed the moon's surface, deer in the woods or a hawk perched in a tree! Thank you again for sharing your wonderful home with us. My wife and I and 2 other couples stayed here in October and things couldn’t have gone worse. To start everything off we got there on a Friday night after a 3 hour drive to find the gate to the house was locked. Keep in mind, you are on a narrow gravel road surrounded by forest in the pitch black and with spotty cell phone reception (straight out of a horror film) and still a half a mile away from the house. It took us 2 hours to get a hold of the owners and for them to call a neighbor to unlock the gate because “they just forgot .” There was no apology and no concern shown but we were going to make this weekend great no matter what. So, we finally get to the place and were planning on using the grill for our now late dinner, but the grill did not work. The grill was disgusting and so dirty that the gas wasn’t flowing to the burners. The property and house are big but don’t expect a comfortable bed or any toiletries that are not 10 years past their expiration and taken from the Motel 8. To make things worse, by the time we checked out we cleaned everything up after we left, did the dishes, threw away the garbage and the place looked cleaner than when we had arrived. To our surprise they didn't give us our deposit back. They said that furniture was “moved around” (not true) and that they found a trash can in the living room (also not true). When politely asking for more specifics they just came back with rude remarks. They had to be emailed multiple times to get any response. After all the things they did wrong they charged us extra money!?! I really don’t recommend staying here when there are better properties with nicer owners in the area.
Owner response:We are very sorry to have this review posted along with our many wonderful reviews. Unfortunately a group of young kids got through my screening process and had a party in our home. They left the home in very poor condition. We returned a portion of the deposit even though they did not deserve a penny. It took our cleaning crew double the amount of time to clean the home. Please note what they wrote in our guest book prior to their leaving the home: "We had a wonderful time at your home. The property is beautiful. The horses and wildlife helped make our stay so enjoyable. Thank you." We have been doing this for years and have been lucky up until this group. Now we feel we must list on our web page "families only" after having this group. It is too bad.

Here are some quotes from our kids: "I don't want to go home," and "I want to live here forever," and "Just when I think our vacations can't get any better, they do." Your home is amazing! The huge windows, and spectacular view is great! There is so much room in the house and on the land, and the house has everything you need. Thank you for sharing your home with our family. We will be back.

The pictures are not enough to do this vacation home justice. You really have to see this place! It is a nice and secluded area that brings you back in touch with nature. When we drove up to the property we had to pause just to admire the scenery. Very beautiful house that was perfect and so well kept. We saw a couple of deer on the property as we sat in the kitchen. Hummingbirds by the deck and woodpeckers in the trees too. The kids also loved seeing the horses in the morning and had fun fishing. It's also not that far from the Dells. Bill and Tracy are superb in communication. All questions are answered in a very timely manner. Too many good things to say about this place and the owners. You really won't be disappointed! Highly recommended!!

We had the best time here. The house is wonderful, stocked, and very comfortable. The remote location was perfect, a place to really check out. The easy access to the Dells made it very enjoyable for the kids. This place was perfect for our diverse needs - peace and relaxation for the parents, Dells for the kids. I would highly recommend this property.
Owner response:Thank you very much for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

This vacation was truly "away from it all", and we were able to make memories that will last a lifetime. I have never heard the sound of a hummingbird's wings before, or saw so many stars in the night sky until I stayed at this home. My children loved the horses and the paddleboat. My husband and I enjoyed the silence and the beautiful views. It was a pleasure to stay in such a remote location, but still be able to get to the downtown Dells area in a short drive. The house was clean, well stocked, and felt like home. Bill and Tracy did a wonderful job communication, answering questions, and making us comfortable for our vacation. I highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to stay in a remote location but still be able to easily access other area attractions. Thank you Bill and Tracy for making this vacation so wonderful for us...we can't wait to come back again!

We stayed at this house this week and we highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from it all! It is quiet and secluded, yet the house provides you with all the comforts of living in the city. The view from those picture windows is amazing. We cooked our own meals in the kitchen and found the living space very comfortable. Wisconsin Dells is only about 20 minutes away, so you can relax in serenity and then go have fun in tourist land all in one vacation!! Owners were extremely helpful and answered all e-mails in a timely fashion. The photos are great on the website, but you will be blown away by the real experience.....absolutely breathtaking.

Excellent property -- the entire setting is FABULOUS -- the home is beautiful, immaculate, and fully equipped - the view of the home and from the home is spectacular. The horses are wonderful - so beautiful and friendly - a very special added element to the entire experience -- lots of fish in the pond - and the night stars and sounds are heavenly -- so peaceful -- we were so appreciative that we could bring our dog as well. One of our best vacation experiences!

Tracy and Bill thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful home at the Buglass Farm. My son,his wife, three grandchildren and myself had a wonderful week. All of us loved the 3 Arabian horses they were so friendly and gentle. We went hiking on the property, fishing in the pond, and of course we had a nightly bonfire making smores. The grandchildren didn"t want to leave and the adults felt the same way...Thank You, The Rakoczy Family

We just returned from the Buglass home and wanted to share what a wonderful time we had. My husband, 14 year old son, 9 year old son, grandma and myself enjoyed the beautiful home and property. We all caught so many fish in the well stocked pond. My boys loved seeing mom getting in on the fishing. My youngest son loved talking to the horses every morning. They were so friendly and approachable. The home was even bigger than we expected. The stars an night were amazing. Not only do we want to return to this property we would like to make it a tradition. Thank you Bill and Tracy for sharing your wonderful home with us. We hope to come in the fall and see the beautiful colors if possible. The Duvall Family

We had an absolutely fabulous time during our stay here. The views were amazing and extremely conducive to what we wanted to achieve-- relaxation! There were 6 of us who stayed here and all of us were completely awestruck with the beuaty of the home and its surroundings. Not a single complaint from anyone! It's the perfect place to get away, be surrounded by nature, and enjoy good company!

Bill & Tracy, Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at the Buglass Farm. My family and I were very impressed. Your home is absolutely beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay. My husband loves fishing and the outdoors. This was a dream come true not only for him but our children. I lost count of how many fish they all caught, deer, turkeys and birds we saw. We fell in love with the horses. They were so friendly and were always happy to see us. We appreciate your kindness and thank you for making us feel so welcome upon our arrival. We would love to come back during the winter months next time. I'm sure it is even more gorgeous at that time. The Edwards Family Pekin, IL

We just got back from a 3 day stay at the Buglass farm. It is even prettier than the pictures. We had a very relaxing time - it is away from the bustle of the Wisconsin Dells, yet close enough that you can drive to go to the water parks. There are two great rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, which we didn't realize until we arrived. We really enjoyed the home and would go back again. Thanks Bill and Tracy.
