Nestled between the Mount Baker - Snoqualmie and Wenatchee National Forests on Snoqualmie Pass, Meyer-Haus provides holiday rental accommodations to groups of up to 10 people*. Winter sports including alpine skiing, tubing, sledding, tobogganing, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing all just steps from the front door. Summit Central (formerly Ski Acres) is within easy walking distance. A seasonal shuttle bus service provides further access to Alpental, Summit West, and Summit East (formerly Mt. Hyak). Summer activities include hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and other mountain pastimes, with nearby access to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Lake Kachelus, and the Yakima River. Meyer-Haus can be reached year-round via Interstate 90, Just 53 Miles from Seattle.
The main floor includes master bedroom w/ queen bed; bathroom including sink, toilet, and tub/shower; kitchen with counter seating for five, oven/range, and double sink; dining area with seating for five, woodstove surrounded by sofa, loveseat, and stuffed chair; wall-mounted television, DVD, and CD music system; adult/family board games; French doors open onto exterior deck complete with gas barbeque.
Downstairs provides boot/gear room complete with drying area for wet clothing, dry firewood store, queen bedded room with wall mounted television, laundry with iron/board and full size washer/dryer, further queen bedded room, three quarter bath includes sink/vanity, toilet, and shower stall. Exterior door provides access outside to covered porch and five-seat hot tub/spa.
Upstairs loft comprises four single bunk beds (just above floor level), television, Xbox with DVD, children's games and toys. Children will likely spend their time outside, as a fabulous sledding hill is directly outside Meyer-Haus' front door.
Access to Meyer-Haus is limited during the winter months to walk-in only. This involves carrying your personal items approximately 60 yards down a privately plowed road and a further 40 yards uphill along a communally maintained footpath. Parking is available in the Summit Central overnight parking area at the west end of the Summit Central main parking lot. Access to the Summit Central resort is provided by a communally maintained footpath, walking approximately 100 yards both up and downhill.
It should also be noted that Meyer-Haus is not suitable for people of limited mobility for access reasons provided above and because of the configuration of the interior stairs, as they are quite steep. Young children should always be accompanied on the stairs to prevent injury.
* Meyer-Haus is suitable for groups up to 10 provided there are no more than 6 adults. The property is ideally suited for families with children and young teens, as the loft provides separate sleeping accommodations for up to four children/teens where they can have their own space and still be reasonably supervised from the main floor.
