Thanks, Rick, for an awesome stay. It is better than these pictures show and there is not a futon in the living room anymore. We were comfortable, so close to the beach, fully equipped kitchen, great chairs and umbrella to take to the beach, super nice sheets and towels. We loved it and will be back next year!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

First, the owners are wonderful to work with. Second, this home just became our "home away from home" for the area. We live only two hours away but wanted a real vacation rather than a day trip or weekend and chose St. Augustine because we love it so much. This home was the perfect location in regards to beach entrance and local activities. We were 2 to 9 miles away from everything we needed or wanted to do...activities, sightseeing, eating, shopping etc. The beautiful beach is located across the street. You walk about 30yards (more or less) to the walk-in entrance, across the boardwalk over the dunes and you're on the most gorgeous stretch of beach. We stayed for 8 days and it was never crowded. So beautiful!! There is also a drive-on entrance about one mile N and an exit about one mile S of the home. But, if you drive to the beginning of St. Augustine Beach and use the drive-on entrance you can drive the entire length of the beach (one-way only) and exit at the house or go a little further to the end. So convenient. The home is cozy, comfortable and cute. It had everything we needed, including plenty of towels, to feel like we were at "home." We didn't need to bring or buy anything to get through our week except groceries. It was perfect! There were beach chairs and umbrellas in the back but we brought our own. We did find that seating (in the living room) for adults isn't very comfortable for more than 2-3 as we did have day visitors on Tuesday and Saturday as a surprise for our birthdays and Mother's Day. I have to say simply because the futon is not as large or comfortable as it looks in the picture. I'll make a suggestion on a restaurant...check out RIPE which is located in the Publix Supermarket just 2miles up the road. Amazing seasonal, locally grown, and used products for their menu. We returned numerous times while we stayed and the food is great. Thank you to the owners for opening up a perfect spot for travelers. Can't wait for another stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Nice small house. Very quiet (in a quiet area and concrete block construction makes it even quieter), a couple blocks off A1A but only 1 street off beachfront. Great area not entirely built up with wall-to-wall condos so the beach is peaceful. Very clean, furnished well, comfortable. A bit of a glimpse into the Old Florida beach lifestyle. Will be back next year!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house is the nicest vacation rental we've ever stayed in! It has many windows that let in a lot of light -which is nice! The windows also have wonderful light canceling curtains for when you would like some privacy or for sleeping in late. The interior decorating is colorful, classy, and elegant. The air conditioning is top notch, and we appreciated that July 3rd through the 10th. The beach is just across the street, and we visited it daily. We also went down the road 15 minutes or so and found Marineland Beach where the coquina rock forms tide pools. Old St. Augustine is less than 10 minutes away, and there is SO much to do in that ancient city!!! I would suggest riding the red sight-seeing train. It is just $18.00 a person, including free parking, for three consecutive days. It has 22 stops, and it is completely narrated. I would also recommend eating at Napoli's, The Santa Maria, Saltwater Cowboys, Finnegan's Wake, and The Alcazar Cafe. If you have the time, go kayaking with Eco Tours -we had a blast! And don't miss out on climbing to the top of the St. Augustine Lighthouse! This house was the perfect home base for all of our adventures, and it was very relaxing to come home to at the end of a long and exciting day!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
