This lovely home is very secluded and romantic. We had a very relaxing time just hanging out with our three dogs. They had the time of their lives! This is a very safe property for pets and children. The fence could use a few repairs but it sure was nice having such a large area for active dogs to play. Everything was in excellent condition in the house and on the large, peaceful deck. Hot tub and fire pit were amazing and the owner Mike was fantastic to work with. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your beautiful home for a week.

Wonderful Relaxing Visit

My wife, our three dogs, and I just returned from our annual visit to this cabin. Words really can not express how relaxing the cabin and area are. Not to mention how beautiful it is! Once you drive into the yard and close the gate it is like you are leaving behind all of the stress and worries of your day to day life. Every year we add a few more days to our stay. This year we stayed for a week. Mike, the owner, is great to work with and although he does not live nearby he has some wonderful housekeepers. The cabin is always very clean and welcoming. Our dogs are able to be off leash and run the 3.5 acres free. They absolutely love it. My wife and I enjoy the peace and quiet, sitting by the fireplace, walking with our dogs around the property, sitting outside with a fire in the fire ring, and of course the hot tub - It is wonderful! We will be making another trip later this year or the beginning of next year. We hope to bring our grandchildren. We think they would have such a wonderful time!The best description I can come up for this cabin and property is a piece of heaven on earth!!

This cabin delivers exactly what it promises. Easy reservation process, helpful owner,peaceful, peaceful get-away close to nice dining and activities. We saw lots of birds, a herd of wild turkeys and even a bear! (Bear was not on the cabin property, so no worries.). Dogs loved the freedom to run & chase the squirrels. We enjoyed the artisan shops in Sautee, Hofer's and The Old Bavarian Inn in Helen for authentic German cuisine. But mostly we liked hanging around the cabin. :)

My family and I stayed at the Smokerise Cabin in September over Labor Day, it was absolutely wonderful. The deck is huge; perfect for morning coffee and evening cook outs. The layout of the cabin is perfect with the open living room and private room on the lower level. We loved the yard, completely fenced in and plenty of space for Baylee to RUN! Mike was a pleasure to deal with even after we accidentally brought the keys home :oI We sincerely apologize for all of the trouble that may have caused! I can’t say enough positive things about this property, it was gorgeous, the kitchen was well equipped and the cabin is in wonderful shape. The town of Helen is adorable and just a short drive. Thanks you for sharing your home with us.

This cabin was the perfect location for my family's summer vacation! It was super clean, extremely comfortable, tastefully decorated, and fully stocked. My two teenagers each enjoyed having their own rooms and bathrooms and were tickled to have WiFi there in the middle of the woods! My husband and I loved the comfy king-sized bed, and having a kitchen where we could comfortabley cook our family meals. The hot tub was awesome, the fire pit was alot of fun, and the pool table in the game room provided lots of family laughs. It was awesome to be in such a private, serene setting, while at the same time being only minutes from the things we love to do: tubing, going to sliding rock, whitewater rafting. Our two dogs loved being able to roam around the property, and because it is fenced in we weren't nervous to let them do so. Mike was wonderful to work with and the cabin was as beautiful and clean as the pictures on the listing. Even though we have only been home a few hours we are already thinking of when we can be there again. We loved it!

we loved it at the Smokerise Cabin. Mike, the owner, was absolutely delightful to deal with. the cabin was beautiful, both inside and out, and just so relaxing. our two pups loved the area and it was great having the fence so we could ensure they stayed close by. thank you again, Mike, for sharing your home with us. i have to recommend, for a past time in helen, just for fun :) go watch the folks tube! it's great!

Smokerise Cabin

The cabin was clean, cozy and well furnished. My family and I had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with our morning coffee , relaxing in the big hot tub, and spending our evenings out by the fire pit watching the fireflies. The owner of this cabin was friendly and quick to respond when we contacted him. I would recommend this cabin to others looking to stay near Helen or the surrounding communities. We enjoyed tubing and shopping at Betty's Country Store. We also enjoyed hiking and swimming at Unicoi State Park, visiting the Gourd Place, and eating at Glenda's (in Cleveland) and Hofman's (in Helen). We also had a nice time visiting with several local potters. Thanks again for sharing your cabin with us. We had a great time!

Third Time's A Charm

My husband and I recently enjoyed our third visit to Smokerise in the last 6 months. We love it because it is private yet close to Helen, it has all the comforts of home and then some, the fenced-in 3 acre yard is a dream for our boxer, and Mike the owner is simply wonderful. We will be back again soon!

We just returned from our second visit to this lovely cabin. My wife and I took our two great danes and went on our annual "puppy" vacation to the mountains. Our dogs love being in the woods and able to run free off of their leashes. The whole 3.5 acres is fenced and we do not have to worry about them. They spent most of their time exploring! The cabin is wonderful. It is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Both of our stays so far have been for four days. We are now planning our next trip to this cabin and we are going to stay a week! It is the most stress free place we have ever been. The hot tub is very relaxing and sitting around the fire ring at night was great! Sitting on the porch early in the morning drinking our coffee and listening to all of the birds chirping and the sounds of the forest was unbelievably relaxing. There are many things to do and see in the area but even if you desire to just stay at the cabin and do nothing but relax it is well worth the trip.

One of the best things about starting the New Year is our getaway trip to this great location. Perfect for a quite relaxing trip for two or the whole family. All the best comforts have been afforded by the owners to ensure your pleasant stay. Clean, quite, beautifully decorated, this cabin will not only be a wonderful surprise but one of your favorite places to visit time and time again. It was a beautifully decorated, very cozy, fully furnished cabin. It had a hot tub, fire pit, gas grill and we were able to take our dogs. We all had a great time. We also got to see lots of snow!! I would definately recommend it to friends & family.

Peaceful Retreat

My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend with our daughter and dogs. There was something for everyone to do. The dogs loved exploring the property which is completely fenced so we didn't have to worry and my daughter enjoyed playing on the huge deck. The end of the road location is so peaceful and we did not see anyone our entire visit...perfect for getting away! The cabin is nicely decorated, well maintained, and cozy with everything you could need. We felt very comfortable. The cabin is centrally located to several small, quaint towns so there is a lot to do without driving too far. Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin with us!

This is a beautiful cabin. Great views on the decks and very comfortable inside. All the chairs were so cozy. The bed rooms were decorated nicely and carried on the theme of the cabin. I am looking forward to returning. My dogs had wonderful time exploring and they were always within calling area.

We just returned from 3 wonderful days at this cabin. The cabin is great! We took our two great danes, Savannah and Eli, with us and they had so much fun running free on the 3.5 acres! They were exhausted every night and ready to go back out exploring every morning! We had a fire in the fire pit every night and spent quite a lot of time in the hot tub also! We had a very relaxing 3 days. We haven't had such a nice stress free vacation in years! We are already planning out next trip to this cabin! Smokerise cabin was wonderful. It had everyhing we needed,the kitchen is well stocked, and the cabin is well equipped. It is decorated beautifully and was a wonderful place for my family to spend some vacation time. It was also nice traveling with our dog and there was plenty of space to run around outside and enjoy the quiet area.

Wonderful place. Everything was great and Mike was very helpful with all the arrangements. Clean, cozy but with lots of space, really nice beds, great hot tub, and our dog loved the HUGE yard surrounding the cabin. My girlfriend and I got engaged in the living room by the fireplace as the sun was setting over the trees. Nice... Check out the hike to Raven Cliff Falls. Beautiful 2.5 mile each way.

We just returned from a great stay at Smokerise Cabin. My husband, myself and our lab, Jack absolutely loved this cabin, the property and location. The cabin and property are beautiful and relaxing. The cabin has all of the ammenities you could want and the hot tub is a great way to end your day! The location is close to so many activities - shopping, hiking, sight seeing, you will not run out of things to do. If you have pets, they will love being able to roam the property. We stayed at Smokerise Cabin for an early October wedding and absolutely LOVED the home and property! The home's design, decor, and indoor and outdoor amenities were awesome--truly a luxury mountain vacation. Everything was immaculate, and all of the little details made our stay feel very special. Great location, too, and a nice area for kids; they could explore the fenced acreage and never be far from home. To top it off, homeowner was extremely nice and pleasant to book with. We stayed at Smokerise Cabin 6/11/09 - 6/20/09. This was our 4th trip to the Helen area and this cabin and setting was the best. The small community is peaceful and secluded. We saw deer in the community and the adjacent park. The dogs loved running in the woods. Since the property is fenced in, it was perfect - they got lots of ecxercise. The cabin has all the amenities we needed and is nicely decorated. Mike is a very accomodating host. We recommend this cabin for a great getaway!

Reserve the cabin for thankgiving for me and my family (including two grandchildren and dog)..we had such a wonderful time. This cabin is charming and very comfortable. It's beautifully decorated and the owners thought of everything we could possibly need. This cabin is everything that is promised and more. We cooked a meal for 6 every night and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The porch is fabulous, the cozy cabin decor puts you in the perfect frame of mind, the pool table, game room, and dvd collection provide plenty of family entertainment, the hammocks take you away and the gas fireplace is warm and inviting. Plus, our dogs loved the huge fenced yard. We didn't get to use the firepit due to drought conditions, but hopefully we can enjoy it next time. You will not be disappointed at Smokerise. The owners are so accomodating and friendly. We will definitely be back.

This cabin is perfect. Perfectly secluded, but convient to everything. So charming and cozy. It's rustic, but has all the modern conviences. My husband and I, our three children, and dog, loved it and didn't want to leave. We will be back, again and again.

We spent the week of 11-18-07 through 11-25-07. The cabin was very nice, clean and most beautifully decorated. We felt right at home here. I can't think of a time when we've relaxed more than we did the weekend we stayed at Smokerise cabin. We were minutes away from great dining, hiking and shopping yet we felt miles away on the private wooded setting. To cap off a fun day we roasted marshmallows around the fire pit and sipped wine in the hottub.

You will not be disappointed by this beautiful cabin. Conveniently located near Helen, Cleveland and even Dahlonega. Great selection of games, books and movies but the hot tub and and pool table are the best. I can't wait to figure out when I can go again!

The cabin was perfect! Decorated way beyond the average rental. Everything was brand new and just wow! The hot tub was huge. Eveything you need to cook a meal and then some. A real "Man-size" grill was available. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. We had a wonderful stay and we were very close to Helen without being near the crowds. Basement stairway is steep if you have children (take a child safety gate - we used this for our dogs), but other than that everything was wonderful and we would recommend this to anyone that wants peace and quite, but still wants to be near things. Worth checking out - general store in Helen and Anna Ruby Falls. Don't forget the marshmallows for the neat firepit.

We loved the cabin. It is a family friendly place to stay. Our kids enjoyed the pool table and the fire pit. Wireless internet and XM are nice features as well. We hope to stay again in the future. We give the cabin an A+.

I am so excited about my stay here at this property that I am commenting prior to my departure back home. I absolutely love your cabin!!
