My home sits apx 3 blocks from beautiful and quaint downtown Quincy. Across from my house is Dunn's coffee house, the local health food store, and our Post Office. Restaurants are all within 1 to 4 blocks. On Thursday evenings during the summer you can enjoy going to our local farmers market, which also is a block away, you can usually hear the music from the front deck.
This house has been partially remodeled over the last few years. It was originally built in 1916 and it still has some rough edges on the outside, but the inside is very attractive with top of the line appliances and comfortable furnishings. The beds all have down bedding, if you are allergic to down, alternative blankets are available.
The front porch of this house is one of the best places to sit and either enjoy people watching or just checking out the views. The sunset is especially beautiful to see in the evenings. The back deck is a great place to sit in the morning while you enjoy your coffee and maybe even watch the sun rise.
If you want to be in town, but close enough to all your favorite outdoor interests, this will be the ideal place to stay.
This house would be perfect for a reunion or just for friends needing to get away. If you are on out of town business, this can be the place to help you not miss home so much. I myself used to travel with my job and found many of the places I stayed lacking in the comforts of home. Therefore I have made sure to add all of the amenities I missed while traveling.
My home can be rented as a 4 bedroom, 4 bath home, with 3 sitting areas, and full kitchen and Dining at apx 2700 sq ft. It can also be rented as 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and 2 sitting areas, with full kitchen and dining. Another option would be to rent the upstairs suite which includes a sitting area, and an option of renting 1 bedroom, 1 bath or 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. You would not have a full kitchen, but a microwave, small refrigerator, and misc kitchen gear are provided. You would also have access to a portion of the back deck. |
