Wonderful Fall Get-away

Each year we try to make a trip to visit Lake Seneca and the wineries. We always look forward to our stay at the "Getg Inn" as the accommodations are exceptional and make for a "home away from home" experience. The exceptonally clean accommodations provide for everything, literally a turn key operation, as there is nothing the owners haven't thought of and your relaxing get-away vacation starts the minute you walk in the door. Should one have a special need, assistance with household operations or guidance/suggestions for local attactions, the owners provide immediate assistance and response. If you are looking for superb accommodations located directly on the lake, the "Getg Inn" is where you want to stay!! We are already looking forward to our 2012 stay.

Had a fantastic time at the Get Inn!!! This is our fourth year coming to the Lake at this location, and we have never been disappointed. The Cottage is one of the most well-kept and cleaned we have ever been in. The owner thought of all our needs right down to the games for the kids not to mention lots of movies. The view most amazing sunsets and sunrises overlooking the Lake, quite a view. You can do as little as you want and just relax or be as busy as you want. A great time was had by all. Can't wait to go back!

The four of us stayed for 3 days and enjoyed a very comfortable, relaxing time. My sister in-law and I enjoyed touring wineries while our men enjoyed fishing. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and everything was kept very clean. We will come back again. The owners were wonderful. Thanks so much Sue and James.

We stayed at Jim and Sue's place in mid August. It was perfect for an end of Summer retreat before the craziness of the school year starts again. We loved the location- secluded is an understatement. The sunrises over the lake were beautiful. I recommend Watkins Glen - hike the trails AND you have to take the test drive of the race track. There is so much to see and do- we will definately be back. The house is exactly what is described and very accomodating. Thank you for a great trip!

We stayed here with our son and his sons. Off the "beaten path", has a lake/camp atmosphere - we grilled almost every day, the boys rode their bikes up and down the road, rode the kayak with their Dad. Great eat in kitchen and picnic area. Secluded, yet central to many local area attractions in Penn Yan, Branchsport, Geneva, Watkins Glen, many things to do (U-pick farms, golf, parks, swimming, hiking, museums), fun activities especially around the 4th. A very quiet setting, but thanks, Al, for the great fireworks the 4th!

It was great getting away from the city, driving up to the house you feel the peace and serenity that is brought on by the lake and the area. The towns people are so nice and friendly. The cottage itself is wonderful, filled with the amenities from home but, a view that is breathtaking. Your own dock to walk out on to and watch the ducks fly in and out. Eating breakfast on the screened in porch was a great start to my day. As the title says peaceful, this is one of the most peaceful places I have been to.

Stayed 3 times & will be back. View & location is perfect. Fishing was wonderful, my husband really enjoyed his time on the lake. I used the owners kayak and went house hunting. Pictures on display do not do the cottage justice. Very nice and well equipped. Many wineries right down the road. My favorite is the organic winery, The Four Chimney's. Saturday's at the Windmill is also enjoyable. So much to do in the area, and location of cottage is right in the middle of it all. Although my favorite day was a day we did nothing. Enjoyed the view and the water.

Sue and Jim, Thank you so much. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. We will definitely come back. The view is incredible, the cottage was at the waters edge. It was very well equipped. Very close to the wineries.
