If you are looking for a day trip, the lake house is just minutes from the city of Manning. The capital city, Columbia, is located only an hour & a half away. If you want to see the Atlantic Ocean, popular Myrtle Beach is only about a 2 hour drive.
This would be an ideal location for northern resident(s) seeking mild Southern weather for the winter months.
