Why the Owner Chose Heavenly Valley
We wanted to be close to all area attractions but yet we wanted to feel like we were "away from it all". Our condo in Bavarian Village is just blocks from highway 50 and it is just one mile from the casinos and Heavenly skiing. We are also on flat ground and the South Lake Tahoe bike path runs right by the complex entrance. We enjoy riding our bikes to breakfast at our favorite local restaurants. We boast on-site manager and a rental agency that looks after our condo. We love our location in the middle of a grove of pine trees and love to look up at them while we are enjoying the pool or soaking in the hot tub. We also love to serve dinner outside on our balcony so we can smell the pine-scented fresh air and listen to the call of the Blue Jays.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Our MB window view of Heavenly is breathtaking! We are only one of only two condos that have a large picture window in our MB! We also take pride in our three room remodels, kitchen, and both baths. Our condo features pine cabinets trimmed in forest green. We place a small table out on our balcony and enjoy some of our meals outside during warm summer nights. If the weather turns cold we have plenty of table games or enjoy movies on our 32" HD-ready TV. For week-long stays our on-site laundry really comes in handy. Unigue to Bavarian Village is their wonderful, spacious heated pool and 8-person hot tub. Relax and look up in into the blue skies framed by tall green pines. You can't do that at stateline where you're stuck in a hotel room fighting the crowds. Our fully-furnished kitchen is perfect for eating in or preparing snacks for day trips.
Ride the Heavenly Valley tram to the largest ski area in California or enjoy sightseeing and the restaurant.
Rent a boat here, spend a day at the beach or enjoy shopping and restaurants
Less crowded than sateline and only one mile from our condo. Take the tram for winter skiing or summer sightseeing and hiking.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Tahoe in 1974 and we started renting homes in summer and winter. In 1978 we purchased an A-frame cabin and traded it in for a condo in 1993. I graduated from CSUN in 1974 and just retired with 32 years with the USPS in 2005. I love hockey, and skiing although my double knee replacement 3 years ago has ended our ski trips. I have been an L.A Kings season seat holder for 35 years and I would love to see the L.A. Kings win the Stanley Cup before I turn 90! We live in Westchester, a suburb of Los Angeles and we enjoy planning long vacations like our cruise in Alaska this summer and our short trips to Las Vegas.

FROM THE OWNERS: If you like "personal touches" and extra convenience, the Ripke Condo is for you. We just added our hand-made coat racks trimmed in hunter green. The coat rack next to the entrance door features small hooks for your car keys. And look on the kitchen table! An extra TV remote is nice to change channels while you dine. And we have framed cable channel guides in the living room and MB. You will love our indiglo nite lights and glo switches so you will never lose your way in the dark. We have them in the bathrooms too! When you get up in the middle of the night no need to blind yourself by turning on the vanity lights! During winter storms power outages are common. We even have emergency lighting for the living room and hallway for your added safety. We also may be =one of the few vacation homes with two fire extinguishers and five smoke alarms. We remind our guests that there is NO SMOKING in the Ripke Condo. If you must smoke outside please DO NOT throw your cigarette butts over our balcony railing!

Dear Peter and Kay; In September, 2008 we switched condo management agencies to Tahoe Rental Connection. They are staffed 7 days a week and you will always reach a live person when you call during business hours! We also purchased a new supply of matching "green-band" dinnerware with matching cups. They complement the "hunter green" trim in the condo. We will keep our eclectic supply of large coffee mugs until they run out due to breakage or wear. We made a special trip to K-Mart to purchase a kettle and some baking trays for the condo. Our guests from England now may have their "afternoon tea"! We also fulfilled other requests for your baking tray, toaster oven and a pizza pan. And DO please enjoy our complimentary hot chocolate.
