Stepaway@Regattas is a luxury two-bedroom condo in a private gated resort community just steps away from the beach, harbour front, dining and shopping at Marsh Harbour - the capital of Great Abaco. Available for short-, mid- or long-term rentals. Built to a high standard with ceiling fans, central air, granite countertops, custom cabinetry, and ceramic tile floors. Kitchen fully equipped with oven/stove/microwave, full fridge/freezer with ice maker, washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, cable TV, games & books, private patio. Dining area for six and living room couch pulls out to sleep young children only. (Nearby units are handy for larger groups). Outdoor facilities include a large swimming pool/deck, tennis courts and private beach, as well as an open grassed area for kids to play.
Feastin', Fishin' and Funnin': Marsh Harbour is the gateway to the Abaco island group. Although it is the largest town in the Abacos, and the third largest in The Bahamas, there are only about 7,000 inhabitants Marsh Harbour's maritime activities are mainly tourist-oriented. There are a number of good bars and restaurants with names like Mango's, Curly Tail's, Snappas and the Lofty Fig.
Excellent Facilities & Services : There's good shopping and a range of services as well - facilities not found in many Out Island settlements. Excellent water-taxi connections make this a popular place from which to explore the offshore cays, including Man-O-War, Green Turtle and Elbow. A paved highway links Marsh Harbour to all the settlements on the Abaco 'mainland',
Famous for Eco-tourism: Activities include snorkeling and scuba diving, fly fishing and deep sea fishing, sailing and skiing, cycling and hiking, bird watching, boar-hunting and blue hole exploring. The nearby Abaco National Park encompasses 20,000 acres of pine forest, and the 220-acre Pelican Cays Land and Sea Park is famous for its mangroves and near shore reefs.

We arrived and the manager was no where to be found. We waited outside for over an hour while our cab driver and strangers tried to get in touch with manager. Once we finally go into unit, the floors were so filthy that my feet turned black. The toilet was broken and there was no toilet tissue in the unit. We had to go to a local pub to use restroom facilities and borrow tissue for over night. The unit smelled musty/moldy. We opened the return air filter and it was coated in black goo. We cleaned it ourselves in an attempt to clean out /freshen the air in the unit so we could get some sleep. The kitchen had zero provisions. Not a grain of salt to be found much less any spice, paper towel, dish soap, hand soap, napkin you might need. The bed sheets stunk as did the bath towels. The bed spread was so disgusting we placed it in the closet during out stay. The spare blanket had a huge whole ripped in it. The complex itself looks abandoned, run down, unkempt as the unit did. It's apparent that few homeowner dues are being collected and spent there. The next day the maid came and used the oldest, nastiest mop I'd ever seen and simply smeared the black grime around the floor. The sheets and towels did get washed which helped with the smell of them. I had to ask her to leave a roll of tissue for us until we could get to a store. She was going to leave one without my insisting. Surely the owner needs to visit this place and walk barefoot on his own floor. I doubt it would meet his own personal health standards. Not a telephone to be found on this property or in the unit. Guess that's how the owner never hears about his renters being treated so awful. There is NO bicycle so that's false advertising also. We were pleasantly surprised by the condition of the condo, it was very clean, well decorated, well equipped and very convenient. We chartered a boat at the Moorings across the street and needed the condo for a few days. The unit was located within walking distance to best restaurants and shopping. The exterior of the condos needs a little extra maintenance and TLC, however the interior was very well maintained. I would recommend this place.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.
