Mountain views, a 60 foot wide roaring creek for fishing and fun right out the back door, 2 acres of front yard, privacy, and a modern and spacious cabin - what more could you ask for?
River's Edge Cabin is a fully up-to-date and well-appointed log cabin that sits on 3 private acres, with approximately 250 feet of frontage on the regularly-stocked Cosby Creek (over 60 feet wide!) for trout fishing and other water fun! Cosby Creek originates in the National Park just a few miles away, and is considered a blue ribbon trout stream.
Sit on the large back deck and listen to the rushing creek for hours on end, or on the front porch and enjoy the hummingbirds while you watch the kids play ball in the huge front lawn area (2 gently sloping grass acres).
River's Edge Cabin is approximately 2,400 square feet, with a full basement gameroom of over 800 square feet, equipped with a slate pool table, ping pong table, air hockey, color TV, gas stove, and jigsaw puzzles.
The house is appointed with fully functional antiques and quality Thomasville Furnishings, as well as High Definition TV with and DVD player. The solid pine dining table accommodates up to eight (8)guests for family get-togethers. The kitchen has modern whirlpool appliances, eating bar, utensils, dishes, and even fine china for that special occasion!
Our large front porch is perfect for sipping a cup of coffee in the morning while you watch the hummingbirds, and the 2-acre front yard provides plenty of play area for soccer, volleyball, and horseshoes. Our kids just like to go to the top of the hill and run down as fast as they can!
Enjoy the 4-person jetted hot tub overlooking Cosby Creek.
The Creek is, at its normal level, from 1 to 2.5 feet deep - perfect for kids to play in, tube, etc.
River's Edge Cabin is about a 25 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, including Dollywood and the many other attractions and shows. The cabin is only 3 miles from the Cosby Entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There are several good restaurants less than 5 minutes from the cabin, including the famous Carver's Apple House.
If you need to do some ironing or laundry, River's Edge has a fully-equipped large laundry room with washer, dryer, iron, and ironing board.
Many make reservations for River's Edge months in advance, so check with us soon on your desired date(s) of stay.

I was expecting a "cabin development" deal where you are packed in with 30 other cabins. I was shocked when we got out of the car and looked around - we had total privacy and the grounds are GORGEOUS. The creek really is more like a river - our kids spent some of every day tubing down the river. My oldest son also caught two rainbow trout! There is a great restaurant just about 2 miles away that we ate at several meals that also had a apple orchard and fruit stand. This one is a winner!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a very nice week at Cabin on Rivers Edge. The house and grounds are much larger than we expected. The creek was a constant source of enjoyment for my children and myself. Everything in and outside the house was in working order. Overall, an excellent stay. Would gladly stay again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children.

We had such a wonderful time while staying at the cabin on the river. The cabin was warm and inviting and so roomy. I can still hear the water running from the river, so peaceful. We had 7 adults and 2 kids and never felt crowded. The location was perfect, away from the mad crowds of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but only 20 minutes to get to the madness and not on a bumper to bumper highway. I look forward to a return stay maybe next time in the winter. Took some great pics if you would like to see them. Loved the decor of the cabin, felt at home as soon as we walked in. Thank you!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful week here. The kids floated in tubes in the creek and caught crawfish. My husband did some trout fishing, and I read books on the deck overlooking the creek. We loved all the games in the game room. This cabin is so secluded and quiet, yet close enough to tons of area attractions. The cabin decor was beautiful, and everything was very clean. The kids are already asking if we can visit again next summer!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family just returned from Cabin on River's Edge and we had a wonderful time. My kids (ages 4 and 1) loved playing in the creek catching fish and crawfish. It was a wonderful relaxing week away from all the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I would highly recommend you visit this wonderful, quiet retreat.Did you find this review helpful?
