  As you might be doing right now I had spent about 2 weeks searching houses looking for the right fit for my group of 10. We chose Floras house because of her prompt responses and wealth of pictures of the house and info of the area. The information package gives you plenty of things to do and details where to get anything you might need for your stay. The house had more than enough room for 10 of us and with 2 living rooms and ample room downstairs(all with tvs and plenty of channels) everyone could do as they please and we never felt crowded. The house is in great shape and having 3 bathrooms with showers is also very convenient for a large group. We had a great time playing pool, barbequing, playing board games, and watching movies. The home is near everything you could ask for(having the Walmart and Shoprite a few minutes away was great) and the Casino is only a quick drive away which was nice as well. Also "Smokin Vittles" is a great smoked bbq joint that recently opened less than 5 min from the house which was delicious. Anyway I give the house 2 thumbs up and would definately deal with Flora again in the future as it was an absolute pleasure.

We also provide alot of information so that there is no stress in looking for a place or what to visit in the area since most people are not from the area, so we put alot of effort to prepare our renters with as much info as possible for the most stressful free vacation.   I have been meaning to write a review for some time. My parents and I stayed at Flora's place back in September 2011 and we are still talking about what a wonderful, peaceful vacation we had. I did a lot of research looking for lake front property on a motor-free lake because my parents were bringing their canoe, and I was bringing my kayak. This lake was gorgeous and quiet. My dad even got in some good fishing time. (I never did get my fishing license) I was also looking for a pet friendly house because my parents have two dogs and I have one. It was wonderful to have all three approved (after discussion with owner of course) Lastly, I was looking for clean. My mother is a stickler and I knew she'd have a fit if we arrived in a smelly or unclean home. Naturally it bore the marks of a home shared with many renters, but all very minor. Bathrooms and kitchen were immaculate, and so were the kitchen utensils and dish-ware. We had all we required and when we had a random moment of mishaps on the first night, Flora responded immediately and remedied our minor issue. (which I won't go into because it was just a silly against the odds type of bad luck thing that I don't expect ever happened to anyone else, nor ever will again). My point is, that even the unexpected was met with calm resolution and sincere concern. The outside of the house was in just as good shape; well maintained. The view of the lake from the back porch was the best. My parents loved sitting there and just looking at their canoe sitting docked on the private dock. (my kayak remained on the lower porch because there was the house's row boat on the other side of the dock and leaving it on the grass would have killed the BEAUTIFUL lawn) My father took advantage of every single large TV in the house, and we all enjoyed the pool table downstairs. We encountered many deer during our walks, and watched from our windows in the morning as deer walked around the yards. Flora gives very specific directions/rules for staying in her home so a guest should have no questions, doubts, or concerns. I'm sure I'm missing something here in my review, but I've touched on all the things that were important to us. And of course waking up to see a gorgeous lake and beautiful trees outside of my bedroom window was a very nice bonus. We are all hoping to have a return visit to Flora's house.

  We stayed at Flora's house 2-9 July 2011 with my sister-in-law and her family. There were 10 of us total and with the house so large e never in each other's way. The rooms are huge and having 3 full bathrooms was a definite plus. We had a fabulous time! We enjoyed everything about it including the deck where we hung out most evenings, the boat, the pier, the paddle boats, the beach, the pool and the fire pit and of course the beautiful weather. The house was immaculate when we got there. The kids were well occupied everyday between fishing and swimming and enjoying the ducks and deer that visited us daily. The guys fished every day and caught many fish. The view from the dock was breathtaking. The evening pool tournaments were so much fun. I would definitely recommend this beautiful house by the lake and I hope to be able to come back again soon. We made a week full of memories at the lake that will never be forgotten. Flora is awesome, she was very responsive and definitely cares about you as a renter.

  My friends and I (10 people, 1 dog) stayed at Flora's house for a weekend in February 2011. We had an awesome time. The location was perfect....everything was within a 10-30 minutes travel time. Almost every place we went to was on the same road. Some of the places near the home were a candle house, horror house, a gun range, horse-back riding, Mount Airy Casino, and Camel Back Mountain. All of the pictures she provided were very accurate and the house had all of the amenities and necessities you would expect. Flora even called to make sure we got there ok and wanted to make sure we were able to find everything we needed! :-) Absolutely one of the best vacations we've taken. We will DEFINITELY be renting this house again in the near future.

  Our Stay here was absolutely fantastic. If you think that the pictures on the website and the album the owner sends are beautiful wait until you actually come and see it for yourself, the house, area, property, and surroundings are absolutely beautiful which you can't even put it into words. It is quiet, romantic, peaceful, and just a beautiful site to see and a great place to spend your vacation. The owners must have thought of every little detail from the minute you recieve the information for the house to the actual directions and information is very well prepared before you come to the house. When you arrive you are breathe taken by the views and the details that the owners had put into this house. From the wireless internet to the television, they have all the premium channels even the movie channels which I have rented a lot of houses and usually you have the basic package and that is all. The ambiance is great we spent 7 glorious days here. Would recommend this house to anyone who wants a quiet remote relaxing place with all the ammenities right at your finger tips. The house even had a pool table the basement was gorgeous there was a nice lounge area there by the pool table with the t.v. overlooking the lake and more room then we can ask for the house is very big and beautiful, thank you so much we don't have enough words to express our emotions here on how organized and beautiful our vacation was. We got to see lots of deer which added to the ambience, they visited us a few times a deer family with there little babies was a beautiful site which you don't get to see much. If you have a chance to go don't even think twice and do it, this is the best place to be. We will be back very soon.

  We have stayed at this property the last two years (during summer) and its very nice house. They take pets which is great (and hard to find in the poconos) and has lots of amenties. The rowboat is nice to take out on the lake. The deck is also nice to sit on or fish. Can park a few cars in the driveway and are close to shopping and other sites. Kitchen is well stocked, has big dining table to eat at plus patio furniture on the deck to eat outside. They also provide sheets which is great so you don't have to pack them (another thing somewhat hard to find in the poconos).

  Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation. Since we don't get to go away that often and work very hard we really needed the peace and quiet that this area provided us but yet with the ability of many things to do outside of the house for fun. This house is great and it is the best we have ever stayed in. The house was extremely clean and had everything that you would need for a great vacation. we were in dire need this time for peace and quite. We rent homes at least once a year and this house really made it, we won't be looking for another place to rent, because this home made it since it was far above the best one we've ever had the privilege of renting. Thank you for providing such a beautifully well maintained home. I only hope you have availability for our next vacation since we tried to rent your house twice and it was booked already on the days which we needed. Thank you again and we will be back very soon, as soon as we are able to get away from our hectic schedules!

  I stayed at Flora's house from july 24-31 w/ my family and my sister and her family. We had an awesome time!! We enjoyed everything about it including the deck up stairs, the boat, the fire and the beautiful weather. The house was immaculate when we got there. The kids enjoyed the dock and the boat. They went fishing almost everyday. The view from the dock was something you don't see in the city. Its was breathtaking!!! I would definitely recommend this beautiful house by the lake and I would hope to make a return visit! Thanks Flora for letting us rent your home!!!!

  My family stayed here for a whole week in July and had a wonderful stay. The property looks exactly like the pictures and the owner is very nice and very prompt in answering any questions you may have. The house is stocked with everything. We cooked all of our meals in this property and had everything we needed...pots and pans, dishes, utenciles. The house backs up to the lake and we swam at the dock and one house over is the pool, beach, and paddle boats. We enjoyed the boat that is also included in this rental! We used the tennis courts and playground in the community and had a blast. The house is huge with two living rooms, four bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a huge basement with a pool table. We enjoyed eating our meals on the upper deck while sourrounded with the beauty of the lake, trees and cool breezes. The home is close to everything. We enjoyed bushkill falls, Jim Thorpe, the outdoor swapmeet and the Casino theater on route 611 (which has great ice cream and burgers) This house is close to Shop Rite, Walmart, Kmart and other shopping. The house has four tv's with lots of movies and board games to enjoy. The owner provided lots of information on the area. The home is very clean and spacious...we loved it and had a great Pocono vacation. I recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in a friendly, clean, large, and beautiful property right on the lake. My children enjoyed themselves very much and can't wait to go back!

  My family and I stayed here Tuesday through Saturday of Thanksgiving 2009. We have rented homes from the Poconos down to the Outer Banks. This is the CLEANEST home we have ever stayed in. Everything we needed was there or near by. There is PLENTY to do in the area. However, I want to stress the home, the beds were VERY comfortable and Flora (owner) was more than accomodating. We sleep well and were able to relax and not worry about anything. If we are up in that area again we will be back.
