Property is clean and well maintained. Owner has been very receptive to our needs for the 3 winter visits we've rented here and concerned that we've had a pleasant stay. There are plenty of towels and bed linens. Closets in bedroom are very roomy. Washer/dryer is in bathroom (large with double sink) behind closed doors. Garage is large and plenty of room for storage of golf clubs, beach chairs, etc. Property is close to super markets and restaurants, ice cream parlor, exercise facility and our favorite is that it's a 5 minute walk over the bridge to the beach. A 20 minute walk to the jetty or longer if you walk the beach. Or a bike ride there also. Many vacationers here from all over the country to chat with or watch dolphins, birds, picnic, etc. A couple of miles away is the Venice community theater---a 5 minute drive on the island of Venice---great shopping, walking, restaurants, another beach. Many golf courses within driving distance. Would definitely recommend this property to friends/relatives.

We have stayed in five years in a row in Jan & Feb and enjoyed every minute of our stays. The owner is very helpful and takes pride in upkeep and keeping everything clean. The location is tops with a short walk to the beach or to several eating establishments. It is a quiet street with probably less than 20 cars a day going by the home. The garage and storage areas are very large. Because steps involved we had to find a ground floor rental this year with health issues.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.

We stayed in the larger of the two apartments for the month of March 2010 and were really pleased with how clean the apartment was and the overall condition of the unit. The owner did everything he could to make our stay a pleasant one, even to the extent of droping off muffins for our breakfast one morning. The unit is within an easy few minutes walk to Nokomis Beach on Casey Key and a short drive to Venice or Sarasota. We loved the convenience of having a garage for our car under the apartment.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.
