Absolutely wonderful place! Our family stayed here for spring break & went skiing/snowboarding. Cabin is beautiful & has everything you could ever need. Close to town & ski resorts, hot springs...all within a short drive. Would definitely recommend this place!! Thank you so much for letting us stay, we had a great time!

My wife and I went up to the cabin to get away for the weekend and we absolutely loved it. It's in a great location with the creek running right below the driveway. There is so much to do around that area, first we went for a hike (there is a trail right off the porch). Later in the evening we went to dinner at a local mom and pop restaurant called Smokin' Yards BBQ, great place that really gives you the small town experience with great customer service. Also, if your an avid snowboarder or skier, like I am, the resorts are 30 miles away. The cabin itself is gorgeous and really has all the accomodations you can think of or need. My only regret is that we had to leave on Sunday!

Just got home from what feels like my other home. The Cabin is of rock solid construction with the warmth of a good blanket. This was our second time here and I can honestly say that I would recommend this for everyone but especially for those who live down in the cities below...An hour and ten minutes from Boulder, it provides an opportunity to those who came to CO to be in the mountains but never made it. Home sweet home on the Chicago Creek. Get up here quick and enjoy what it's all about. Thank you to the owners who work hard to keep it nice.

We had the most wonderful week staying at your beautiful cabin. The hiking trail was great. Idaho Springs is a delightful little town with great stores and restaurants. It was always nice to come back to the cabin and just sit on the porch and listen to the creek. Best vacation we have had in a long time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful mountain home with us.

Wow! I was surprised at how big the cabin is and really impressed with the neat pine furniture. Wonderful floor plan; loved the Dansk dinnerware; enjoyed all the art and accessories; the fresh flowers were a nice welcoming touch. I'd go back again.

My family (2 adults, 3 children) met up with my parents for a two-night mini-vacation. Idaho Springs was great and the cabin was absolutely perfect!! Every amenity you could ask for! No internet, but we didn't bring our laptop so it wasn't an issue for us. The beds were so comfy and I loved that we could sleep with the windows open and hear the creek all night. We had a great time and would recommend this cabin to anyone! We'll be back!

We arrived to the cabin after dark and were greeted by the sound of the river rushing by, just feet from the cabin's front door. When we walked in and turned on the lights we found ourselves in a beautiful, spotless log cabin with high ceilings, tall windows and a very cozy sitting area surrounding a wood burning stove. We couldn't have asked for more and our expectations were blown away! The kitchen had everything we needed and the bedrooms were comfortable and cozy as well. Just one night and day in this wonderful mountain retreat left us rejuvenated and ready again for the real world :) Will definitely return sometime soon!

We have already visited twice and are now booking for a 3rd time. The Cabin offers something for everyone. We have visited in November and was amazed by the beauty and splendour of the surrounding area and the situation of the Cabin. It is so comfortable inside and is well looked after and maintained. Our next visit will be in early Summer and we cant wait to see the difference between the 2 seasons. The Cabin now offers Broadband Internet which is fantastic and saves the daily trips to the Library in Idaho Springs to make the calls to the UK. Thoroughly recommended to everyone and always a joy to stay at. Thank you.

My sister and I rented this cabin for 3 days in Oct. 2010. It was just great. I already miss it very much. It had every thing we needed. If you were to stay in the summer you could open the windows and hear the creek roaring. The views are to die for.There is a fire pit along the side of the cabin that would be great to use in the summer time. Thank you Randy. Hope to rent the cabin again this coming spring or summer.

We spent a delightful weekend at this cabin in late January. It is a very modern, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable retreat. Since we were skiing at Loveland and attending a cultural event in Denver, this place proved to be perfect for our needs. 20-25 min from Loveland and approx. 30 min from Denver. 5 min to Idaho Springs. The cabin's living area is very cozy and comfortable, with a wood burning stove that provides a wonderful ambience. The bedrooms are large, with lots of room to unpack - a definite plus when skiing. The only downside was that our cell phone service (Verizon) ended about 4 blocks from the cabin, but that's pretty common in Colorado. We're already planning on how we can plan another trip to CO and stay in this delightful place.

This cabin along Chicago Creek was great! It's pretty new and in perfect condition. We were impressed with all the entertainment and kitchen supplies which included a coffee bean grinder, blender and large outdoor gas grill. They left nothing out! We were thrilled to watch, from the kingsize bed, a mother hummingbird and her babies in a small nest right outside the master bedroom window!!!!! It was such a treat that I still can't stop talking about it! We also enjoyed reading on the shady front porch, listening and watching the water rush through on Chicago Creek. We will definitely be back and want to thank the owners for a wonderful vacation.

This was our first vacation home rental and it was a great experience. This property is truly a home. It is very clean, well equipped, there are many luxuries and extras. We were completely thrilled. Our daughter even commented that she felt like she was on Extreme Makeover Home Edition! We saw wildlife.... deer and 2 coyotes. One coyote came right on the deck and looked at us through the window while I clicked photos of it! The wildflowers were beautiful. We enjoyed hiking right outside the door! We will definitely recommend this home to our friends and relatives coming to the Denver area. This vacation was such a pleasure. The luxurious accomodations definitely made it special!

Owner response:Thanks Karen! The picture you sent was of a red fox - not a coyote. Anyway, foxes and coyotes are not a threat to humans but they can be a nuisance. Having never rented off of the internet, we had some reservations about this process but were faithful and hopeful that the information presented was accurate. The pictures and description were not only accurate, but in real life this cabin is even more comfortable and inviting than the pictures represent. This cabin has all the amenities of a loved home, and nice quality furnishings. The location was ideal for traveling the entire front range. The Idaho Springs and Georgetown areas have many attractions. Despite no cell phone coverage at the cabin, coverage was good in town. This allowed us to check messages regularly and yet not be distracted when relaxing at the cabin. The setting is ideal for those seeking a quiet, mountain retreat. We would return in a heartbeat.

Being our first time to rent and stay in a cabin, our apprehensions and concerns where at a high level. However, when we entered the Mountain Log Cabin on Chicago Creek, all our worries quickly vanished as our family was overly impressed by the beautiful, charming and ever-so-clean cabin which we had selected. With having our son, daughter and son-in-law join us, the 2 bdr's and loft were perfect to accomodate our needs. Our experience has led us to make this an annual family get-together, hopefully with some grandchildren. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to share your beautiful cabin. Bobby
