  It's with some reluctance that I'm offering this review - only because this is such a jewel, and I don't want it to be booked when I want to stay again! Purely selfish on my part. This is my 6th trip to Cabo, so I have stayed at other places. This is a fabulous place - a block from the beach, a block from the Mall, a block from the General Store - which truly does have the best prices for souvenirs in Cabo, a quick walk to the Marina - but the complex is tucked away and private. Marina Sol boasts the largest heated pool in Cabo, and it's kept in pristine condition, being cleaned every morning and throughout the day. You can even swim up to the Palapa restaurant/bar for your cocktails too. The food and drinks at the Palapa are delicious, and the staff is outstanding. The penthouse we rented from Baja Jimmy was beautiful - better than the pictures, and absolutely spotless. The fridge with the crushed or cubed ice and fresh water was used constantly. The washer and dryer were helpful for our 11 days there, and the seven headed shower downstairs was a great way to start the day. The big fluffy towels were a welcome addition - nice attention to detail. The beds were incredibly comfortable - reminiscent of the 'dream beds' at the Westins. The hot tub on the balcony was used daily, and was a lovely addition to the beautiful penthouse. The suite is on the 7th floor of building "A", and afforded us a beautiful sunrise every morning - and a stunning moon-rise at night. (we were there during the full moon.) The suite overlooks the pool and the jacuzzi below, as well as the palapa with the bar and delicious food. The staff at Marina Sol is amazing - Raul and his dancing, Bernice and her quiet humour and incredible memory for our favourite drinks and meals, Sophia with her welcoming smile, and all the rest. Everyone greeted us with a friendly smile and hello everyday. I would highly recommend this place for couples, or single friends, people who like to have a more personal experience than one would at an all-inclusive. I wouldn't recommend this place for people with mobility problems as the beautiful marble floating staircase doesn't have railings on the bottom part, and it might be hard getting up and down without that support. This place was by far the best unit at Marina Sol - every detail overseen by Baja Jimmy when he built the place. Thank you for the great service, the great memories, and my now favourite place to stay in Baja.

  Just got back from our stay at Marina Sol and wanted to make sure to write a review before I forget! My boyfriend and I stayed in a smaller 1 bdrm unit which was great for us since we were on a budget and the unit met all our needs. We were very happy with the staff at Marina Sol, the short walks to all the hot spots--Medano Beach, Cabo Wabo and area bars/restaurants and shopping/Marina. We felt VERY SAFE and never needed to take a taxi! I was nervous about renting out of the country since it was a first for me, but Baja Jimmy was very professional and we also had him pick us up at the airport which made for a stress-free experience. I would definitely recommend this location and Baja Jimmy to anyone, thanks for the great vacation! We also took the Supercabo (blue & red) bus out to Chileno Beach, just make sure you remind the driver he nearly missed our stop, but it was only 20 pesos sure beats cab prices!

  My husband and I stay here in August and this condo is really , really nice. Clean, well kept, and beautiful. Jimmy is a great host and what ever you need he is on top of it. His office is in the lobby so very easy to get a hold of him or his manager to take care of reservations, activities or whatever. Never had to take a taxi anywhere , we could walk to everything within 5 minutes. Next time in Cabo we are for sure back with Jimmy in his condo's

  My family and I stayed for two nights in A503 prior to heading up to the Todos Santos area for two weeks of vacation time. The unit is exactly as advertised. We loved the central location and hung out by the pool and ate at the Oasis Bar and Grill within the pool grounds. We also ate at Sharky's just around the corner and at a good taco place called Gardenia's which is also a short walk from the Marina Sol. "Downtown" Cabo is a 10 minute walk or you could walk up the hill towards Medano Beach and hire a water taxi to bring you to the Marina.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children.

  My husband and I stayed here 4/8/12 - 4/14/12 for our honeymoon. The previous week we were at the RIU Palace - All Inclusive Resort, which was absolutely amazing as well, but when you stay at a resort like that, you almost feel like you can't leave b/c you've already paid for everything. My husband and I knew we wanted to spend our honeymoon week some place else where we could actually enjoy all of Cabo and what it has to offer. We hit the jackpot staying here! From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Raul at the front desk we had an amazing time. It was everything we had hoped for. A very spacious "homey" environment close to everything. The first day we took a cab to Walmart, about a 5 minute drive, spent $56 American dollars and literally had food left over the day we left. We bought snacks, wine, beer, breakfast food and enough for a few dinners (less than $60!). We knew we'd eat out some, but also wanted to spend our money on excursions. We utilized the grill several times and relaxed on the balacony; it was beautiful. Like a previous review, we never ate at the little place by the pool, but their specials every night looked wonderful. This condo is so close to everything! Medano beach, Marina, Cabo Wabo, the Mall.....less than 10 minute walk to everything. Our favorite bar by far was The Corner Bar, owned by Dennis and Stephanie. We stopped in everyday to say hello and have a cocktail or two. This couple was extremely personable, friendly, and pointed us in the direction of the best restaurants and the right excursion companies to book through. You'll recognize The Corner Bar by all the writing on the walls from past patrons. The only unfortunate thing for my husband and I was that we never actually got to meet Baja Jimmie. :( From reading the reviews, I can tell we really missed out. I will say though for anyone considering this condo, but with reservations b/c "how do you really know who you're dealing with??" do not hesitate here. We booked this place probably around January of 2012 and anytime I called, he always called right back. Everything he said he would provide or do (ie. cc transactions) he did. So, if you're looking for a place that is home for the length of your stay, not bothered by anyone unless you have questions, which then, you'll get a bountiful of helpful information (any excursion you want to do, they'll book it for you), close to everything, and have the FULL Cabo experience, rent this place!!

  If you are looking for a very large 2 bedroom condo, minutes from the beach and the marina, then A503 is it. Beautifully renovated with marble and granite thoughout all areas. Condo was spotless and no 'Mexican' smells throughout our stay. Nice walk over the hill to the beach and breakfast with your feet in the sand at Baja Cantina. Stay at the beach and sit back and watch all the action or get involved with the crowds at Mango Deck and The Office and other spots just a few feet away.Walk the beach for miles. A short walk to the marina for a wide variety of bars and restaurants including Lorenzillos and Tiki Hut for suishi. Or walk a little farther for Happy Endings and Cabo Wabo and many others. Our weather was perfect everyday with a constant breeze and very few clouds. The lanai at A503 would lose the sunshine around 11am so cooling off in the shade was always an option. The pool area and grounds are under a constant and fussy maintenance staff, the heated pool was never crowded and loungers where always available. Although we did not eat here, the $4 breakfasts and daily dinner specials did look good. CaboJimmie was more than just the condo owner, he was our tour guide and host for much of the first day - could not have met a better guy. We did not turn on the tv or surround sound or use the kitchen (fridge - yes) so no comments here. The unit has 4 - count 'em - 4 quiet split system ac units and 4 ceiling fans, so keeping cool was simple when it needed to be. As we travelled as a couple we had no issues with the one bedroom having no privacy at all with the living room area and that the shower in this room was exposed as well, the head did have a door, there also was no closet - no worries for us. The sunrise every morning with the 2 sliding doors wide open and the breeze coming in was pretty special, if you are not an early riser then the black out curtains did a great job. First time in Cabo for us and we were happy we found this place - quiet all the time and the party was in all directions around us, but seemed miles away. Thanks Jimmie and we plan on returning to A503 in November - gracious amigo!

  I'm lucky enough to travel to Cabo at least 4 or 5 times a year and I stay in Marina Sol every time and in this condo as often as I can (when it's available). The condo is stunning (very well might be the nicest on the property) - beautifully furnished and the beds are so cozy (big plus). The property itself is relatively quiet and after a few days you truly feel like you're part of the family at Marina Sol - you'll get to know everyone by name which makes your visit that much more pleasant. And, location, location, location - I couldn't recommend a better place to stay in Cabo...Marina Sol is in such an ideal spot...it's only a 5 minute walk from the beach (spots like Mango Deck, Billigans, The Office etc...), a block from the marina & a short walk from the nightlife - everything that you'd want to do in Cabo San Lucas is within walking distance, there is never any need to take a taxi (unless of course you decide to venture into San Juan Del Cabo). Stay here and you won't be disappointed :)

  My wife, son and I stayed here last week and cannot say enough good things about this place. We had a great time, the condo was beautiful, the people were so nice, and close to everything. Jimmy picked us up at the airport which was really nice not having to deal with all those timeshare guys. When we arrived, check in was fast as his office is right there when you enter the resort and when we opened the door to the condo I could not believe how beautiful it was. Marina Sol is a quiet resort so it was nice to relax by the pool and drink cocktails all day and be waited on by a really good staff at the pool bar. Food was good and when we wanted to go to beach, well just a fast 1 minute walk out the back gate and you are there. Also good food on the beach also. Getting around town was fast and easy just as everyone says. I highly recommend Jimmy's condo to families,couples and a romantic get away. Next time we leave the kids at home as Cabo really is a great place to come and get a way from it all.

  This was my first time to Cabo San Lucas and I am sure glad we picked this place. It is just as beautiful as the pictures show, very nice finishes. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some really big meals. Nice BBQ on patio, and table and chairs on patio to eat on over looking the pool and courtyard. Jimmy picked us up at airport and drove us here and his office is right in the lobby where we checked in and Lorenzo in the office made sure we were taken care of. This condo is in a really good location,we could walk to everything within 5 minutes. My friends and I will surely rent again from Jimmy. Sincerely Andy

  Having read several reviews on the property prior to booking our stay, we almost felt as if we were not in the right place when we arrived. The property was substantially misrepresented in their listing as follows: - The listing shows 2 complete bedrooms with en suites, with one of the bedrooms having a sitting area. In reality, there is 1 bedroom (which has no window/ventilation). The other “bedroom” is actually part of the living room and the “sitting room” IS the living room. There is no closet in this “bedroom”. The en suite is right out in the open, and the shower doesn’t even work properly. - The shower in the one true bedroom barely works – the water dribbled out of the holes that were not plugged. - The listing shows a “dining area with seating for 6”. While there was space for a dining area, there was no table nor chairs. The “seating for 6” was in reality 3 barstools at the kitchen counter. It was impossible for 4 people to eat at the same time. - The kitchen was ill equipped. We had to purchase our own dish soap, dish cloths, paper towels, garbage bags, and hand soap. Nor was there the promised laundry soap, shampoo, or coffee grinder. The utensils were in terrible shape, and the knives were barely capable of sawing through tender steak. - The three ceiling fans were absolutely filthy, as were the bath mats. We had to use towels as bath mats as we certainly were not going to step on the disgusting mats with bare feet. - The “maid service” was in actuality “available maid service”, and was not included. We have never stayed in a rental unit where there was no maid service for 10 days. - As I am a co-owner of a business, I have to work while on vacation, necessitating the use of wifi with my laptop. The promised wifi was so weak as to be barely usable. This caused me to resort to text messages on my iPhone, causing some fairly large costs. Although I contacted the owner, he was not willing to take responsibility for the misrepresentation; instead he made excuses and blamed us.

  Owner response: These renters are outright liars. My office is on the first floor and not once did they come in to ask for help or complain that they were having a problem. 2 weeks after they left they emailed me to ask for money to be refunded or else they would write a bad review.I am not into extortion. I asked why did they not come to the office which is on the first floor and let us know of there problem and they gave no reply. I have several 2 bedroom condos at this resort and they could have been easily moved. The only people who are misrepresenting this property are these renters, they must be from another resort and are trying to make my condo's not look good since I keep them occupied 90% of the year. I guess all the other renters who have rented and also those who are repeat renters must be blind as these renters see something totally different.
