THE SIERRA MADRES ARE 6 MILES FROM HOUSE and offer:

50 miles of trails are are groomed and 60 miles ungroomed for a total of 110 miles. Miles & miles of boondocking and hill climbing with excellent riding opportunities. Facilities and services at Encampment. Snow depths range from 2 feet to 8 feet. There several permit selling agents in this area for your convenience

Elevations: 7,000 feet to 10,000 feet
Season: November through April
Season Temperatures: +30 F to -30 F

Trail system takes you all the way to STEAMBOAT LAKE - COLORADO If you desire.

THE SNOWY RANGE IS 30 MINUTE DRIVE and offers:

The Snowy Range has over 166 miles of groomed trails and 136 miles of ungroomed but signed trails. Numerous meadows with deep powder snow along the system. Unlimited public land for great snowmobiling in the Medicine Bow National Forest. Full Services in Laramie, Saratoga and Rawlins. Limited facilities and services are available in the mountains, however, food, lodging, fuel, and restrooms are readily available. Other attractions include scenic lookouts and warming huts. Guides tours/rentals available in Laramie and the Snowy Range Ski area. There are 12 permit selling agents located in this area to meet your needs. Six roadside parking areas are available which provide easy access on and off the trail. We have what you need so make a vacation in the Snowy Range and find out why Wyoming is like no place on Earth. Snow depths of 12 feet are possible.
