The home and setting were a perfect opportunity for full enjoyment for as many as 12 persons(four singe beds on the third floor in an open arrangement)comfortably. The rooms were large, the grounds spacious, and the water sports convenient. The one disappointment was the need for deck/ patio cleaning of furniture, floors and windows.Trash left outside from a previous visitor attracted horseflies, and fruit flies in the second floor kitchen were a constant bother. The location of the residence is isolated from stores and shops by about 5-10 miles, and those with medical conditions may want to be closer to emergency services.

I was disappointed with the kitchen, not well equipped for cooking, can opener broken, no wisk, not enough skillets, poor quality cook ware. A mouse was spotted on first floor, called the management company were very happy with their quick response. More large trash barrels outside would be good, gazebo is in a lousy location, should be closer to pool or the bay! More hooks in bedrooms and baths! We will return, over all a fun house! Pool and hot tub were well maintained.

Our family had a wonderful week at this beautiful Cambridge location. A few suggestions to make our vacation at this property even better. The kitchen needs more lighting especially over the counter that look into the dining area. That is a dark area and the only large counter space with an electrical outlet. Also you need an outlet on the large counter next to the frig. We are a family who likes to cook and we struggled with limited outlets and lighting. On the outside the gounds are beautiful but you need more umbrellas around the pool. With temps in the 90's and 100 four umbrellas with stands are a must. Several of the chairs around the pool were broken and one of the horseshoe stakes was very rusted and broke. We loved the pier but wished there had been a ladder for swimming in the river. Walking down the boat ramp to get into the water was very dangerous. Our family hopes these minor suggestions will be considered as our family plans to return next year for vacation. Overall this property was excellent.

1. Great crabbing 2. Had a awesome family vacation 3. Would have liked to be more prepared for the misquitoes. 4. AC went out on top floor but management got it replaced right away and worked hard to resolve our issue 5. Great house, only recommendation was to beef up the supplies in the kitchen, we cooked in the whole week and we could have used more kitchen supplies.

The house was AWESOME! The location was perfect for the fishermen in our family. We had lots to do...our children loved the sand pit at the playground. They built a sand baby named Jasper (he likes cheeseburgers). They're very proud of him! (They asked me to make sure I talked of it in this review). The property was very well maintained and we could not have asked for a better place. Thanks so much for providing a (BIG) house that comfortably housed 17 of us.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Captain’s Quarters. We loved the layout of the house and the pool, kayaks, and grill. There was one toilet that did not work when we arrived. The trash from the previous renters had not been removed from the outside trashcans and had attracted tons of bugs. Also, the hot tub would never really get hot and we had some issues with the grill. Overall, I would certainly recommend this property to a friend and/or reserve it again in the future. Thank you!

We had a great time at Captain's Quarters. The kids had a ball with the pool and the air hockey table. The view is magnificent when the sun is on the water and the star gazing at night was breathtaking...saw the milky way and three shooting stars from the hot tub. The only disappointment was not catching our own crabs (the traps are a little dated) but there was a place close by where we picked up some so we still got took care of our crab cravings. We would love to return for another vacation.

Captain's Quarters is a beautiful house and grounds. The furnishings are of very high quality, and the property is in a wonderful location with views of the river and the bay. The house is very comfortable and well equipped for an enjoyable time. There are kayaks to use, a launching ramp, and dock for a reasonable size boat. My family had a ball at Captain's Quarters.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
