This condo seems too good to be true...however, it is even better than described. The golf villas are a small gated community built around a beautiful pool area, bordered by a golf course. The condo is spacious, the furniture is comfortable, the linens are high quality and plentiful. There are many beach towels, a cooler and a pass for the parking lot at the beach. The grounds of the Mauna Lani are historic and beautiful...fishponds, parks, trails - great variety. There's a grocery store on the property, several restaurants and shops. The location is great...convenient for day tripping either direction - so much to do and see!! Bennett, the concierge is wonderful, he's there to greet you and a great resource. There are no negatives to this property.

The condo was better than we expected. The decorating was warm and homey and very clean. It was huge and very comfortable for our family. The condo was very close the pool, which was quiet and very comfortable. The views of the sunset were awesome from both patios! The property was well marked from the street. We especially liked the closeness of at shopping center, with a well stocked market and great restaurants. We were very impressed and are seriously considering coming back at the same time next year. A short 10 minutes away is the Four Seasons with the best fish restaurant we have ever been to anywhere. Well worth the cost for a special dinner and the finest sunsets ever.

We really appreciated the last minute accommodation. The condo was perfect for 3 couples. We maintained it like it was our own home and it was great to have Bennett as a host, reference guide and support for whatever we needed. The listing was accurate and the photos accurately reflected the rooms of the condo. The property was well maintained and clean. We would definitely recommend this condo to our friends and we would stay there again in a heatbeat!! We ate at the condo a lot, because it had all of the amenities and we enjoyed being at "home." We did enjoy lunching at the Mona Kea and the Beach Club and we did eat dinner at the Kona Inn and the Canoe House. All were good. Thanks again Bruce and Bennett, we all really enjoyed our stay.

***Review Information*** One of the best property rentals in all of our travels.... My family just completed a 10 night stay in this gorgeous property. Everything was perfect! The photos really don't do this property justice and the property was much much better than the photos. We typically travel over 100 days each year around the world and stay in apartment and home rentals and this was one of the best. We also own several rental properties so we know what it's like being on the other side of things as an owner. Definitely the owners thought everything through as the property was perfect in every way. All 3 bedrooms had really comfortable beds. We only used two bedrooms upstairs as we were traveling with an 18 month old baby that slept in a baby crib downstairs. The beds were super comfortable with premium mattresses. All the bedrooms also had TV's in them with cable. The TV's were LCD TV's with HDMI so we were able to connect our laptop and Apple TV that we travel with. All worked perfectly. The wi-fi was very fast and glitch free. The kitchen was furnished with everything you would need to cook a gourmet meal. Very high end refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, ice maker and dishwasher. Tons of pots and pans to cook. There was also a BBQ grill off the back porch but we never used it. The property also came with a card for the private Mauna Lani Beach Club which was fabulous and we'd highly recommend for those that have young kids. We went several times and was great. The entire development of Golf Villas was really high end and they did a fantastic job here. It's very secure and private and so peaceful with no noise at all. There is a supermarket within the Mauna Lani complex and the property just a few minutes away. The property is also a quick drive to a larger supermarket just 7 miles away in Waikoloa. (If you're driving from the property heading towards Kona, turn left where you see the helicopters and that road will lead you to Waikoloa with a Subway and a large supermarket that was very affordable. There is also a gas station there if you need fuel. Great beaches are very close. I highly recommend Kua Bay at mile marker 88. It was fantastic with crystal blue water and white sand beaches! Also Hapuna Beach was also great and near the property. I highly recommend this property and will tell all my friends about it. You can't go wrong at this property. I see there are many on VRBO but I doubt they are as high end as this one. Mike and Erika

Perfect Place in Paradise

We stayed here for 2 weeks in December 2010 and were very reluctant to leave. This spacious condo is better than advertised---how often have you heard that description about anything? The lovely decor created a restful, serene ambience. The backyard view of the golf course embedded in the lava rock was novel. We greatly enjoyed the outdoor kitchen which allowed us to savor the sunset, cocktails and a leisurely dinner. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable--in fact we are trying to duplicate this in our own home! The gourmet kitchen is super-equipped with many small appliances such as a rice cooker and blender. There was nothing missing except more time to linger and delay our return to the mainland. The concierge, Bennett was very cheerful and repsonsive despite the busy holiday season. The owner provided very helpful information and tips for enjoying the area. The owner's beach was a true gem! Having lived in Hawaii previously, we truly appreciated this quiet, beautiful beach---a true luxury. Snorkeling at this protected beach was phenomenal---we saw an amazing variety of fish and sea turtles. The nearby black sand beach was a marvel too. We highly recommend this condo and hope to return soon!

Mauna Lani Golf Villas

This condo exceeded our expectations! The furniture is classy and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you can imagine to make gourmet meals. It is very clean and well maintained. Bennett supplied us with great information about the Big Island and where to go! Our kids had a blast while using the beautiful pool and snorkeling at the incredible beach! There is no other place we would stay and we will be back for sure! Thanks Bruce for allowing us to use your wonderful condo! This was one of the best vacations our family has ever had!

All the comments from your prior guests are 100% accurate, especially concerning the Beach Club access - makes it a real vacation! Believe it or not, but we especially enjoyed the square heavy dining plates that you have. We are gourmet "foodies" and our Waimea Farmer's Market and our fresh caught and grilled fish creations(I fished three days) had a high end restaurant caliber look on them. bet you never heard that one before. Bruce:Thank you very much for opening up your vacation home for us to enjoy. Your place is absolutely beautiful; everything we needed was available. One of our most favorite things to do is spend time with our family, and staying in such a great facility made our trip so much more enjoyable. Bennett was very accommodating. When we arrived at the condo, the doors were open, the air conditioning was on, and there was a nice bowl of fresh island fruit, nuts, chocolates, etc., displayed on the breakfast bar (what a nice gesture). He also gave us a brief “Mauna Lani 101” course informing us about the pool, beach club, golf courses, shopping facilities, etc. We found all this information to be very helpful.Thanks again,Mike & Carol

We stayed at this lovely home for two weeks in June 2009. The house is spotlessly clean, and very well furnished with big comfortable beds, large sofas, wonderful bathrooms, everything you need in the kitchen, nice linens, and many high end Hawaiian touches throughout. The grounds are perfectly maintained. The location was ideal - even though we do not play golf. We spent most mornings swimming, reading, and relaxing at the private beach (a five minute drive); used the fitness center in the afternoons; had drinks while watching the sunsets; and enjoyed dining outdoors at the many excellent restaurants within easy driving distance. From the beach club, we took a half-day snorkeling trip - and saw schools of dolphins - and a sunset cruise our last night. We also drove to the volcano one day, and another day took a half-day horseback riding trip through the rain forest. Do not miss the abundant and elegant breakfast buffet at the Mauna Lani hotel! I definitely recommend this townhome - in fact, we are returning this September (2010).

We had an incredible Christmas at a Condo which was perfect. The condo was exceptionally clean, spacious, beautifully appointed and well located. We have rented condos before but never before have we been treated to any, let alone outstanding, concierge service. The gentleman who has been hired to be the concierge was available at any time for questions and even provided us with excellent trip, dining and activity ideas which are not part of the regular guide books. A delightful time was had by all (5 gals on a holiday without husbands and significant others.....)Our townhome for the week was perfect; great space, lovely views from the balcony and back patio and a terrific kitchen with all the bells and whistles. The Mauna Lani resort extras like the black sand beach and Beach Club access was a definite plus. High recommendation!

What a great place to stay on the Big Island - great place and great location. The pictures on this Website do not do it justice. The Villa is 5 star nice. For what you get for the price the place is a steal. I don't play golf but the course looked really beautiful. I have snorkeled all over and the snorkeling at the Mauna Lani beach nearby was the best. There was lots of sea life, lots of visibility, and little surge. The Villa is also well located on the Island and is a great jumping off place to go see this great Island.

My family and I were completely in awe of this Mauna Lani Golf Villa! The Villa was immaculate with decor beyond words. Gorgeous sunset views with a great view of the 9th hole of the Mauna Lani South Golf Course. If you like to relax and vacation in total privacy, seclusion and quietness (as my family does) this Villa is the definite place to stay. We would definitely, without hesitation, book this Villa again on any future trips to the Big Island. We would also highly recommend this Villa our family and friends if they were ever to visit the Big Island.

We have enjoyed this spectacular townhouse for two years in a row. I cannot imagine a more beautiful setting or more perfectly decorated retreat. The owners have made sure that every inch is luxurious and comfortable. Not one detail was missed, from the state of the art electronics, gourmet kitchen, high quality furnishings, high thread count linens....I could go on forever. This townhome is without a doubt the most beautiful place we have ever stayed on vacation! It is decorated like a model, yet it has all the amenities you can think of, and is as comfortable as being in your own home. This place is amazing! A warm beautifully decorated place with state of the art amenities in a wonderful complex that is so close to everything. I worked out daily at the poolside exercise room, enjoyed the snorkeling at the beach, with beach club lunches and stunning sunsets outside our balcony each night. Just an incredible place to spend a week or two! I give it two thumbs up…………….

March 7-21, 2008 WOW, This place is a 10 star high end furnishings, top of the line appliances,Crate'n'Barrel style dishes and very imaginable utinsels, if you're into cooking. Lovely patio with built in grill, not to mention the relaxing golf course view, and the palm tree's swaying from the ocean breeze. Don't miss out, it's better than a home away from home. What a fabulous place! Perfect sunsets every single night that we were able to photograph from both the upper level balcony/sitting area and the lower level open kitchen, which is where we spent most of our time. Enjoy watching the golfers hit up to the beautiful ninth green and imagine how you would have done that shot differently! The home is impeccably decorated as well as comfortable and condusive to all members of the family. On the days when you've been golfing, swimming, snorkeling or hiking along the ocean trail, you can chill out and cook on the built in grill and experience the calmness and serenity that we found in Hawaii. Absolutely loved our stay in this well-appointed Mauna Lani Resort golf villa. It offers all of the amenities of a resort - golfing, relaxing at the pool, swimming, sunning and snorkeling at the association beach, nearby shopping and fabulous restaurants -- yet has a cozy, private feeling that comes from private ownership. The unit is very spacious and has every imaginable ammenity. Well priced...definitely a 5 thumbs up!
