This 4 bedroom home is located in the family-oriented Village at Turtle Beach- a small community of homes with white picket fences, bike paths and a neighborhood pool. We are located just 100 yards from the beach and 50 yards from the pool! Our home is a perfect setting for a family vacation, golf or tennis group or a reunion of old friends. The furnishings in the house have all been updated and the kitchen was completely renovated (all new appliances) so it is a cook's delight. It is a vacation dream house that you will truly enjoy! A new A/C Unit was installed in 2010.
We are within 5 minutes bike ride of East Beach Tennis Center, voted #1 Tennis Resort by Tennis Digest, and the Jack Nicholas designed Turtle Point golf course, one of Kiawah Resort's beautiful golf courses. This is one of 5 signature resort golf courses including the renowned Ocean Course, site of the 1990 Ryder Cup and the 2011 PGA Championship. There are 10 miles of beach to enjoy; great for swimming, shelling, body surfing and bike riding! Doctor Beach voted Kiawah one of the top 10 beaches in the country. We are also within a few mins walk to The Sanctuary, a 5 Star Resort, and East Beach Village, a great, casual place for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The house has an open floor plan with 10'ceilings that make the 2600 square feet of living space seem much larger and more spacious. A porch wraps around the house with plenty of rocking chairs and a hammock to enjoy. Two "master" bedrooms allows for the accomodation of two families.
The first floor has two sitting areas; a large living area in the front that's great for reading, relaxing and playing games on the large coffee table. At the back of the house is another sitting area and large flat screen TV (40") great for watching TV and video's. The house has been completely re-decorated and the kitchen is well equiped with granite countertops and all new appliances. The first floor has a master bedroom with a Queen size bed and adjoining bathroom. The Second floor has the main master bedroom with a king size bed and private bathroom. Another bedroom is on the second floor with two twin beds and a full bathroom. The third floor tends to be the kids favorite! It has two twin beds and a set of bunk beds in a nautical theme.
There is cable TV in all the bedrooms but the middle twin room. All linens and towels are provided, however, there are no beach towels. Gas Weber grill available for your use.
Walking distance to the Sanctuary Resort (5* rated), as well as, Turtle Point golf course and East Beach Tennis Center. No smoking and no pets, please! We can arrange for mid stay cleaning at an additional cost of $220.

I've stayed in Kiawah many times and this house is everything the listing proclaims it to be and more. The layout was perfect for my multi-generation family gathering. The bedrooms are well-proportioned and spread out on different floors allowing privacy for the childless and space to roam for the youngest and busiest. The ground floor layout provided ample space for the kids to play and the adults to talk without stepping over one another. The kitchen is exceptionally large and encouraged multiple chefs to volunteer and help out at meal times. What impressed us most about this house is the time and attention the owners put into it to make it a comfortable and elegant home. (I don't think I've ever seen so many serving platters in one house and every corner of the house is functional and well decorated.) The short walk to the beach and even shorter walk to the pool made carrying a 30 pound baby and necessary beach gear a little less trying. The neighborhood and beach are relatively private yet encourage a nice sense of community. The owner was very easy to communicate with and professional when reserving the home which made for a pleasant experience altogether. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.
