  This was the perfect place for our extended family reunion and get-a-way to the Black Hills. The location was as described. We flew in to Rapid City and rented an SUV - glad we did too. The home is in the woods and the last few miles of road is gravel and dirt. The photos accurately reflect the rental's appearance and amenities. It was clean and extremely well-maintained. Before arrival, the owner's representative answered all questions, was regularly available and even gave us some tips on things to do - trout fishing in Spearfish Canyon !!! Kids will love the creeks nearby, and Rapid City is a short drive away as is Mt. Rushmore and Devil's Canyon. We even went to 76 Days Rodeo in Deadwood one night - yee haw !!! Eat Indian Tacos at Cheyenne Crossing - just north a few miles and burgers and beer at Lewie's. We had a great time here!!!

  This property was very nice but It all started out bad when we got there, the drive way was not plowed and we couldn't even get to the house. We called Anne and she did call a snow plow to clean the drive way and stated that it would be a half hour but after two hours the plow was a no show..We asked about a refund but she said no it was in the contract that you may need a four wheel drive to get to the property. And they only plow the drive way when they get three to five inches of snow. When we left I called Anne again but the call went straight to v-mail. Well we went back to Rapid City and ended up renting a four wheel drive to get to the house. We picked up our friends from the airport returning at one in the morning and then the drive way was plowed. Why couldn't this have been done in the first place. I do have photo's of the snow and after a day of melting it was at about three inches. But after we got to the house it was a nice place to stay just bring a 4X4.

  Owner response: We agree 4WD vehicles are necessary to get around safely in the Black Hills during winter and we have this information printed in both the rental agreement and also in the pre-check in email we send out to all guests so they are prepared. Unfortunately, this guest didn't heed this info, but to accommodate him we called the snow removal service so he could get in safely with his van. It was after 530pm when I received his first call, so it took an hour and a half for one of the snow removal guys to get back to their shop, refill their sander and get up to this home. I’m very happy with their service for an after-hours job. I did miss one of the guest's calls, as I was on the other line with the snow removal co. to make sure they got the right driveway sanded. I’m glad the guests enjoyed the home and appreciate the feedback!

  We rented the property for a family reunion, and it was perfect. Some of the family skiied while others just relaxed at the cabin. One day we were there, it was nice enough to sit outdoors on the deck without a jacket while the kids built a snowman! Great space for togetherness, yet good privacy when you want it. Beutiful location, clean and well stocked.

  This was a wonderful place for our family reunion. We had 5 families and there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen is great! It, of course, was the gathering place and we all fit comfortably. There were lots of things to do nearby- hiking, Deadwood, shopping, gold mine tours and Mt. Rushmore. We would definately recommend this property

  We, all 19 of us, recently stayed at Aspen Ridge. This is a fantastic home for a large group. We had 11 kids 11 yrs old and younger & we didn't feel a bit crowded. We cooked all of our meals and there was plenty of fridge space (second fridge downstairs). It was great having soft water and a washer and dryer available so we didn't have to take home dirty clothes! The house was very clean & had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We did bring extra washcloths since there were so many of us. Bring your hiking boots/shoes if that's something you enjoy, lots of places to go exploring. We brought the kids' bikes along, there really isn't anyplace for them to ride right on the property (gravel & hilly), but the Mikkelson trailheads are very close-by. We did a lot of creek hiking and went to Roughlock Falls (20 min by car). We also took the kids to Rushmore Waterslides in Rapid City, another big hit! We will absolutely recommend this property to our family & friends and plan on staying here again. Thanks for sharing your home with our family - this was the best first-time experience we could've ever asked for!

  This was such a perfect vacation home, our family has stayed twice already and plan on coming back often. The property was just as advertised, if not better. Very well set up between being secluded, yet minutes away from all the Deadwood/Black Hills excitement we could ask for. The home itself was very clean, modern and rustic finish, and great use of space for entertainment, cooking, relaxing, or whatever else we could think of. Our favorite part has to be the kitchen and HUGE panoramic deck. The owners have been easy to work with, friendly, and accomodating each stay. We would reccomend this property to any group of family or friends, you will love it.

  I really enjoyed staying here. The cabin was very clean and plenty of rooms for everyone. It had a large deck with a beautiful view and bbq grill. Full kitchen and dining room, 2 bath rooms . Made it very hard to go home and leave the beautiful cabin and scenery behind. I highly recommend staying here!!

  This place is amazing. Roomy, well equipped with kitchen items, furniture, etc. Very comfortable beds. The deck is unbelievable to hang out on. If you cant relax here there's no where you can relax. Can't wait to go back again sometime soon.

  This place we incredible. What a VEIW!! I can't believe how big it is. I will be back with my extended family. I'm guessing it will hold 18 people. The 4 wheeling right out the back door was incredible. We road for 2 days and didn't ride the same trail once. Thank you for sharinf this beatiful home.
