Had a great stay at the LightHouse point property. Having never rented directly from a home owner we were not sure what to expect but we were very satisfied with the home. After one call to Debbie the home owner we closed the entire deal by mail and Paypal had no problems with the transaction. The local property manager Amy was very responsive to all our calls for information etc. and was very helpful with making us feel comfortable with the area. The pictures and the video provided are precisely what the house looks like - very clean and newer well working appliances etc. - nicely remodeled recently. The 80 degree pool and canel view was a pleasure - very quiet and private setting - Many great local resturants and access to upscale shopping ( Boca's a short ride for my wife ) I would defintley recommend this home to my friends and anyone looking for an upscale home at a reasonable price.

Best Ever Vacation Home

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt at home. The house was warm and inviting. It was wonderfully decorated and supplied. All necessities were taken care of and we just had to fill it in with our needs. The pool and yard are a special haven and retreat from the cold northeastern weather we escaped from. The dock is wonderful to fish from and our kids had a great time catching and identifying all the fish swimming by. Debbie and her team have made sure that this is not only a place to stay, but one that is comfortable and invites you to come back. All the local hot-spots and secret places to go were described with a great collection of brochures of places and things to do. As described, Deerfield beach is great with open space, onsite bathrooms and an awesome fishing pier. Boca Raton beach is a secret oasis that begs to be visited. Oh, for meat-eaters Gimme-a-Burger is heaven to your taste buds :) The house is on a quiet street, but in a perfect location. It is close to everything. Supermarkets, entertainment, and shopping are all within a few minutes of this secret spot. You can simply relax in the splendor of the pool and landscaping or find tons of activites to keep you and the youngsters busy. Cooking in the kitchen or on the grill is a breeze with all the cook ware you can possibly need. Whenever we thought we needed something it was waiting for us to find behind the door of a cabinet of in the garage. If you are thinking about bringing something besides clothes, ask, because it is probably already there! (Like car seats, thanks Amy!) Amy is on Debbie's team and is ready to help at anytime. Your family will love it as much as ours did. You will have a great time in Lighthouse Point. Just save time for us to come back! Thank you again, and we can't wait to come back.

Immaculate vacation home

This is an immaculate and spacious home. An absolute perfect vacation that included a private heated pool (with an abundance of pool toys for babies and older kids), yard for the children to play AND a dock on the canal! The home was impressively equipped with anything you could possibly need, including fresh food waiting in the fridge for you upon arrival, fishing gear used to enjoy a lazy afternoon fishing on the dock, beach gear (chairs, umbrella, toys, cooler), any possible baby need you may need AND all linens, bath and pool towels, and shower necessities to allow for lighter packing. Too many amenities to mention! I would definitely go back to this home for another relaxing vacation!

Everything as advertised and more! 7 of us stayed with plenty of room especially with the 3 full bathrooms! Excellent communication from start to finish with the owner as well as the property manger who checked in with me almost daily. House was stocked with plenty of towels and linens as well as a full set of kitchen supplies. We unfortunately stayed during a cold front but still got to enjoy the lovely heated pool. I will absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in the Fort Lauderdale area!

This was our 4th vacation at this beautiful house. The owner continues to maintain high standards with the addition of a TV in the master bedroom and a new washing machine and dryer in the garage plus a new refrigerator in the kitchen, also there was new bedding and linens throughout all bedrooms The house is spotlessly clean and well equipped. The house is just perfect for a family vacation and I highly recommend a vacation here.

This villa is amazing well-equipped. It is so refreshing to find a rental house stocked with tea, coffee, herbs, spices, cling-film, foil, maps, books, shampoo, shower gel, cleaning products....in fact everything that you could possibly need apart from your groceries (and there were a few of those generously provided too). Lots of towels, bedding and all sorts of baby/child equipment as well. The safety fence at the bottom of the garden is an absolute godsend if you are travelling with small children. The pool is very well heated for a winter visit and the surrounding neighbourhood is lovely. There are shops, a post office & supermarket within easy walking distance. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

Very nice house

The house was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay. There was everything that we needeed and much more. Quiet neigbourhood but just a walking distance to the nearest shops and restaurants. And just a short trip from nearest golf courses, and in Florida there a lot courses which we liked. Five friends had a wonderful golf vacation, hope we can come back next year. Thanks!

Our family returned for our annual summer vacation to this fabulous house and one year on we were not disappointed. Still in immaculate condition and spotlessly clean. The owners could not be more helpful and really look after their return renters. We really appreciated not having to pay a security deposit which is the bonus of being one of their return renters!! Beautiful pool and location, local beach is great with lovely places to eat - highly recommend this for any family.

Wow - what a great house to stay with my family. It has everything you could need for small kids - we had a 2 year and 1 year old with us and the house was equipped with so many things - car seats, highchair, crib, pottys. We had a fabulous vacation - the house is in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful heated pool. The nearby beach is perfect for young kids as it is shallow with clean sand. The owners were so helpful with arranging our booking and payments - it was so easy. Cannot recommend this place enough for families - we will definetely be back!!!

Just wanted to say what a wonderful time we had at this home. It has everything you need. The neighborhood is lovely and close to all the shops as well as the beaches. My boys especially loved the pool and fishing each day on the dock. Charles met us upon our arrival and was really helpful. It was nice to arrive after a long drive and have food already in the fridge. Being a first time renter on homeaway I'll admit I was a little skeptical but I after staying here I can't wait to come back. I would highly recommend this home:)

Back again at this beautiful vacation house. This place just cannot be beaten - stunning, clean, spacious and well set up for families. We love the pool and lazy evenings on the patio. The garden is well equipped with loungers around the pool, a BBQ, sofa, table & chairs - we didn't need to eat out! We will be back again and again - so all you families don't look elsewhere....

This was our second visit in 2011 and we were not disappointed. The house is maintained to an exceptionally high standard. It was so nice for our familiy to know what we were expecting - the kids love the pool. The house is just perfect for families and so well equipped you just need your swim clothes. Beach nearby is also family friendly and safe so all in all - paradise. We will definitely be back in 2012!!!

We arrived to find a fabulous house - clean, tidy, fully equipped and all set up for our vacation with supplies in the refridgerator!! Spent long relaxing afternoons by the pool and BBQ on patio in the evening. We had a fantastic time here and would highly recommended this to families - it was perfect for ours!

Excellent for a Family Getaway

Our family (my husband, three year old son and I - and my dad and stepmother) rented this villa over Labor Day weekend for a relaxing break and for a visit with my grandmother, who lives in John Knox Village, which is about 10 minutes away. I was impressed right away that Debbie was willing to rent the villa to us for less than the minimum requirement (we stayed 4 nights instead of 5) over a holiday weekend. Debbie was incredibly responsive and flexible. The villa is beautiful and is wonderfully set up for a family with small children. There were plenty of toys available, and we did not have to do a ton of temporary "baby proofing" to ensure that we could relax while our son played. The pool was gorgeous, and we all had a great time cooling off in the afternoons. Charles was extremely attentive and helpful. He came to assist us in checking the AC our first night there and even helped in getting our boarding passes printed out for our return trip. The surrounding area has plenty of drugstores, grocery stores, retail shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful time and will certainly consider a return stay when we come down to visit my grandmother.

We had stayed here 3 years ago as a family and loved it so much that we decided to return! We were as impressed this time as we had been during our last visit. The house is immaculate and provides everything that anyone could want for a perfect holiday. The pool is lovely and the area very peaceful and relaxing. Restaurants and shops are very close by and the wonderful beaches a short drive away

This is our 5th stay at the house - we absolutely love staying here. We are golf addicts so the location for great golf courses is perfect for us. As always we arrived to find the refrigerator stocked, a bouquet of beautiful flowers with a lovely welcome message from the owner. The house is always the same each year - immaculately clean and well equipped. It now feels like our second home! We cannot recommend this vacation house enough to anyone wanting to rent it. Charles the property manager is now a very good friend and he is always there if you need anything.

Stayed in this property for 6 nights/days. 2 adults; 3 children. Could not have been happier with the accommodations. The location perfect, relative to the beach, shops, freeway, & airport. We had a very relaxing vacation in this wonderful vacation home. The home is large, well equipped and very clean. Our family loved the heated pool and the patio area overlooking the canal is lovely. Very nice upscale area, lots of resturants and easy access to many activities. Charles was very friendly and helpful during our stay and owner Debbie was wonderful to work with and responded quickly to all emails. Would highly recommend this home for a vacation.

A really great house in a nice neighborhood. The house is well equiped for a family with children. My husband and I and our son and my parents stayed for ten nights and we had a lovely time! Really nice pool area in the back yard and a short drive to many attractions. Would really recommend this!

Amazing value

The pictures do not do this house justice. Fresh, airy decor and sleeps AT LEAST 8. Great for a couple families to vacation in and pool man comes thursday mornings to keep the heated pool spotless! The house had everything we needed and then some. The necessities were in the fridge upon arrival, all bathrooms with extra shampoo/conditioner, iron in closet, even a hairdryer in the dresser drawer so you don't have to worry about forgetting anything! I could be happy staying inside the house alone on my vaca haha. Well kept yard, house immaculately clean. Wish I had this kitchen in my house! The house is also perfectly set up for small children. Bunk beds, crib, kids games, bibs in kitchen drawer and even a small "potty" haha. There is a removable gate that closes off the backyard so kids cannot get too close to pier area as well. The backyard had a patio set perfect for relaxing outside with friends on a beautiful night. We also sat on the pier in back of the house at night and you can see stingrays and flying fish if you watch closely. If your there in hotter weather than when I went, you'll see all the boats going up and down the waterway. The owners are very sweet and landlord (or keeper?) lives up the street and also very helpful for anything we needed during our stay. I will definitely come back to this house and would highly recommend it to anyone. The location is close to everything. 10 minutes from Fort Lauderdale, lots of shopping nearby, near Deerfield Beach and 10 min drive to Fort Lauderdale beach. About 25-30 min to Miami. Perfect location and perfect house. I can't say enough good things about it... really.

Wonderful vacation house - we really enjoyed our stay and Charles was very helpful during our stay. Everything was set up on arrival including the heated pool. The provisions in the refridgerator were very welcome. The photos do not do the house justice - clean, spacious and the outside patio and pool are just perfect. Stayed 17 nights at this very well planned house in December 2010. The layout is fantastic for two families with 4 kids and 4 adults - you will even be able to have some guests in for a night! You can trust the description on Home Away 100% plus the property was very clean and well maintained. The outdoor environment is really great - furnisher, heated pool, a lot of space and the sun comming in exactly right! The owner is extremely nice and helpful and the house keeper sits just some blocks away and really takes care of you all. TV, DVD, Wireless Internet and everything else works perfect. Be aware of american plumming systems... They are NOT the best in the world! We can really recommend this house and if we ever go back we will call Debbie immediately! Henrik, Sweden

A villa you will want to return to

We have just returned from our trip to Lighthouse Point. Your villa has everything you could want and more. Charles bought us food and toiletries which was a godsend and nothing was too much bother for him. One of the hairdryers wasn't working and before we could advise Charles he was around with a new one. It was lovely and relaxing with plenty of beds and chairs at the pool which is a good size. We spent many happy hours playing with our grand-children in the pool. There is lots of towels in the villa which isn't always the case in some houses. There is plenty of literature in the villa on places to visit, eat and shop which we did in abundance. The weather was gorgeous outside which made it a relief on occasions to walk into a lovely cool house. We would have no hesitation in recommending your villa to anyone and would be more than happy to return ourselves. Thank you for a lovely holiday wish we were still there.

Fabulous house in a great location

We really enjoyed the week in Lighthouse Point. The house was in a great location-- we could walk to our relatives condo. We really appreciated having a high chair and crib. Our daughter liked the toys and books, too. It was great to have all the space --much nicer than a hotel room. We look forward to returning.

We had a fantastic time in the house its lovely and so peaceful. We have had 2 weeks of gorgeous sunshine and we were sad to leave. But we will be back - cannot recommend this house enough!

lovely florida villa

i have just come back from 2 fantastic weeks in this beautiful villa in lighthouse point, and it has been the best holiday i have ever had. The villa is lovely it is so well equipped that if you forget anything i gaurantee that it will be there anyway so you dont need to worry, there was even Bread, Milk, Butter, Juice and a cake in the fridge waiting for us when we got there which was great and saved us having to go straight out to find a shop after such a long flight. The air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout the villa are a godsend in the Florida heat and all of the rooms are cool at all times. The villa is in a great location, close to the local beaches (the best that we fond was deerfield beach) and just a 3 hour drive from Orlando so you can also visit disney as we did. The kids spent most of the holiday in the pool which again was well equipped with lots of toys and lilos etc and a light so that you could even have a dip at dusk which we did quite frequently to cool us down. The local shops are well equipped for everything you need and the owner and caretaker of the villa are lovely and very helpful. There is an information book in the villa on how everything works which was a great help and this also tells you were the local ammenities are located. I really enjoyed our holiday and i will definatley go back to the same villa again when i have saved up enough money.

just got back to the UK after having the most fantastic stay at this property.The owners obviously have an eye for detail and have kept this property in tip top condition with really tasteful decor and extremely clean & tidy bathrooms and communal areas. The pool was fab and loved the opportunity to hire a boat and park it at the bottom of the garden before we crusied up to Boca Raton for lunch. All in all I reccommend this property and cant wait to go back next year!!

We stayed at this house last July. It really is better in real life than the photos - beautiful, clean spacious. The owner left provisions in the refrigerator for our arrival. Great pool for the kids & good outdoor space. Spent alot of time outside having BBQ in the evenings - pure heaven. Charles the guy who looks after the house is great - always on hand if you need any help or information. The owner gives plenty of information on booking and stays in touch. We loved this house so much we have already booked to go back in summer of 2012.

We could spend a very nice holiday in a wonderful villa. Everything was clean, well-maintained and how we expected it to be. There were no problems at all. A folder provided information about the house, all its gadgets and locations which were worth a visit. The kind manager could help with all questions we had. Highlight was the large pool with its clean water. Of course we would recommend this property to everyone who wants to stay in Florida. There is no criticism about anything concerning the house and everything around it. At last, we want to recommend two restaurants not far away from the property with wonderful food where we enjoyed some evenings: "Frank's Restaurant", an Italian restaurant on Atlantic Boulevard near the ocean and "Cap's Place", situated on an peninsula in the marina of Lighthouse Point.

A Worry Free Stay

What a lovely stay we had at this property. We arrived to a fridge full of the basic groceries needed after a long journey, it did not stop there the bathrooms and laundry room was ready to go, shampoo's, laundry soap etc. The pool water was clean and warm, so to the patio and barbeque. We ask the caretaker for help during our stay and he was round the next day eager to assist. The villa has the intra-costal waterway running by the end of the back garden. ( there was even fishing rods provided) We were able to stroll 10mins to nearest shopping complex, and by car all else was within easy reach. We enjoyed our stay so much and would certainly try and stay at this villa again. Thankyou.

We stayed at this fanstactic house in June 2010. From the moment we stepped inside the property we were impressed, It exceeded our expectations. the house was very spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The location was perfect. Fort Lauderdale, The Everglades and Miami were all within a short drive. Loved the pool and looking out at the waterway.

We recently returned from a week's stay at this gorgeous house. The house was very spacious & clean. The location was perfect. Fort Lauderdale, The Everglades and Miami were all within a short drive. Loved that we didn't need to bring any toiletries or towels. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have been on. Loved the pool and looking out at the waterway. Can't wait to go back.

From the moment we stepped inside the property we were blown away. Spotlessly clean, large and airy, everything you need to make your holiday special. Our three teenage boys loved the pool and use of the personal computer. The surrounding area is great. Will definitely be returning and would recommend this property to anybody - first class. This is our 4th stay at this beautiful house. Perfectly situated for some great golf courses. Charles the property manager will help you with anything you need - he even keeps our golf clubs stored between stays - how's that for service! We love to sit out in the evenings and and BBQ & relax. The heated pool is a big plus for us! As regular renters the owner always gives us a good rental rate. We highly recommend this house for a family vacation. Plenty of space, spotlessly clean and very well equipped.

The home is beautiful - comfortable, clean, attractive, contemporary. The pool is attractive, warm, and clean. The neighborhood is convenient to stores and attractions. The manager and owner have left toys and some groceries for the renters. This was our second season in this house. We highly recommend the property for a family vacation.

We spent a wonderful week in this very nice home. We had 6 adults and 2 children and were very comfortable. The home is clean and well equipped. The pool area is very nice and we enjoyed it very much, just wish the weather could have been a little warmer. It was a very convenient location. Would love to come back again!

The house is very attractive, comfortable, and clean. Our grandchildren loved the pool and the toys they found in the house. The adults appreciated the layout and interior decorating of the house, the view out the window of the pool and the canal, and the groceries and equipment that were available for us. The neighborhood was convenient - We could walk, jog, drive to the beach and to some tourist attractions, plus shop. The description was accurate, even better than that. We would recommend the house to a friend or relative. The owner and her representative provided good customer service.

My wife and I stayed in this property with our 3 daughters in February 2010. We had a great stay and can unreservedly recommend this property. The villa itself was spacious, clean and well equiped. Our girls especially enjoyed the swimming pool. The booking process with the owners was very straightforward. The owners do not live nearby but have arranged for a local man to be available. He was easily contactable and very helpful. We particularly appreciated the fresh grocery essentails on our arrival (espcially after a 8 hour plus flight). The villa is easy to find and well located and Fort Lauderdale and Miami are only a short car journey away. We would certainly look to rent this property again if and when we are back in this area.

We stayed and had a family reunion here. What an amazing way to vacation! The house had everything we could need, the pool was amazing, the kitchen well stocked, the linens soft and everything was so clean! This was the perfect retreat!
