Comfortably decorated and well appointed for your vacation pleasure, this home offers a fully-equipped and very large kitchen (stand at the sink and watch the waves roll in!) with pantry and laundry area, large oceanfront dining area comfortably seating 8, vaulted ceiling in the spacious oceanfront great room with fireplace and ceiling fan, 3 full baths, 2 oceanfront decks and an ocean front screened porch, all with fabulous sunrises over the Atlantic. There is an ocean view from every room except the baths---even the stairwell offers a large window with a stunning view.
Bed linens and bath towels are provided, as is a starter supply (1-3 nights) of "paper products", bath and hand soap and dishwasher detergent.
Harbor Island offers a peaceful serenity that is hard to find in major resort areas. If you long to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Harbor Island is the perfect place to be. Spend your vacation doing absolutely nothing but relaxing and enjoying the abundant natural beauty of our island or take advantage of the many activities located nearby. We are an easy day trip to Charleston, Savannah, and Hilton Head, and of course nearby Beaufort is filled with charm, great sightseeing,art, shopping and restaurants.
Harbor Island is a beach lover's paradise with over two and a half miles of quiet, uncrowded Atlantic beach. Osprey, herons, aligators, egrets, shorebirds of all kinds, dolphin and an occassional deer all make their homes here, as well as a variety of other wonderful wildlife. You can fish right off of the beach, or crab in the creeks. Your rental also includes access to the Beach and Racquet Club, with an olympic sized pool overlooking the Harbor River marshes, a kiddie pool, tennis courts, sand volleyball, fitness center and sundries shop.
