The property was beautiful. Well maintained. Clean. The main bathroom, however, was very cold in March. We would definitely rent again, but would recommend the early fall, spring, or summer. It was conveniently located for our needs.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this condo. its a very very clean large spacious 3 bedroom. we even brought our inlaws for one night to join us. As an older couple they thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood. super quiet street, and conveniently located so close to downtown.The owners were very nice and helpful with restaurant suggestions. Loved it and have already planned to return in summer!

Came up from Florida to enjoy the city for a week. This was a beautiful condo! The location was perfect, close to all attractions, restaurants and shopping. It was beautifully decorated, spacious and squeaky clean! Same price as nearby upscale hotels but so much more space. The owner was delightful, very helpful. Will definitely plan another stay in the near future.

stayed here last weekend! it was exactly as described. truly a value, the price for what you are getting. A large 3 bedroom for the less than the cost of some of the hotels we checked out which were one room! Super clean! Great location! We parked the car and hopped on the bus at the corner and shopped like crazy on Michigan Ave. The owners were super kind and helpful with great restaurant suggestions! We stayed here for a weekend in January. It was the perfect home away from home! It was a lovely, clean, well taken care of home. all the furniture was in excellent and clean condition. So nice to have a full home and be so close to public transportation. We took the bus to Michigan Avenue just a few steps from the condo! Best points were, very helpful owners, very quiet neighborhood and yet so close to downtown! We felt like guests in a friends home! We will be back! Great location and excellent amenities. We were 2 minutes walking distance from the lake, and could go downtown either by car or by bus (and save on the downtown parking fees!). The building is a three flat on a charming tree lined side street, so it was quiet yet so close to supermarkets, restaurants, etc. The apartment does not feel like a rental at all, more like a high end condo with jacuzzi, granite tops, new hardwood floors. Very clean and spacious. Andrea (the owner) was great, helping us with all details for our stay and giving us advice on where to eat, shop, etc. Pricewise, it was a bargain. Would definitely go back!

Spacious apartment, poor location

The apartment is very spacious and brand new. The furniture is pretty beaten though. Location is not great too and car dependent. Subway is 3 blocks away. The apartment is practically inside the shared parking lot of a Islamic college (noise at night) and a French elementary school (noise during the day).

Owner response:Yes as the review says the apartment is spacious and brand new. therefore the furniture is not beaten.. all the furniture is new except for the sofa which is older but clean. Yes the train is three blocks away however as I tell all my guests the Bus which is a few steps away takes you straight down lakeshore drive to downtown. The condo is next door to the Lycee Francais, there is no Islamic College there. They own the building which they rent to the French school There are no classes there except the Private French School. The children have recess around 10 am and then at noon and are done by 3pm. after that there is no noise from next door at all! Please read the other 25 reviews when making a decision . Thanks!

We had a our annual girls shopping trip to Chicago and stayed at this wonderful locatoin! Very conveniently located via cab to Michigan Avenue and State Street shopping. We also did some shopping in the close by neighborhoods as well as enjoyed neighborhood pubs/lounges. The condo is very spacious with a magnificent master bath and beautiful kitchen open to the living/dining and sitting rooms! So much space and beautiful views with a small deck in the back. Great stay, great hostess! We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed in this condo in Sept. 2010 and Sept. 2011. This condo is amazing. Lives up to the description perfectly. Has a ton of space and large bedrooms. The Master bath and Kitchen are great. Kitchen is well stocked. The coffee pot is a 2-cup but we didn't have a whole house of coffee drinkers. Off street included parking is great and the price is right for us. Cheaper than all of us in a hotel!! Whole foods is 1/2 mile down the street. We have driven around the city with our own car both times but maybe next year we will have to venture out and try the bus! Condo is easy to get to and the owners are very helpful and accomodating! Wonderful Vacation Condo!

This is a wonderful place to stay in Chicago! We went for a long weekend to see a game at Wrigley and 5 of us stayed comfortably at the condo. It was within walking distance of the stadium and there is a beach nearby. The master bathroom was amazing and the bedrooms are very large. Also, the kitchen is great and we cooked breakfast there every morning. A perfect spot for us! We will definitely stay here again when we visit Chicago in the future. Wonderful experience

The apt was exactly as portrayed by the photos. The kitchen is fantastic (well stocked) and we had a wonderful time having breakfast and dinner next to the kitchen. The apt is also near the CTA bus stop and train station. Whole Foods is also within walking distance. Will certainly stay in this apt again should we return to Chicago. The apt should have a door bell though since there is only 1 set of house key and we can't hear the door knock when our other family members return.

Weekend Getaway

The highpoint of our stay at the condo was getting up early enough to catch a sunrise on the lake. We stayed for a weekend last year in Spring and decided that since the lakefront was a 2 minute walk from our doorstep, that we would pack a thermos and go watch the sunrise over the lake . It was glorious. The Chicago Skyline to our right, as we have seen it in so many films, and the sun rising over the lake, slowing coming up over the water.. just beautiful! wish I could post photos here! We then walked to a lovely little restaurant and had breakfast.. such a great memory.. The condo was immaculately clean, very large, for 2 people, but we enjoyed the space! Next time we will bring the kids! With so many lovely parks nearby, We must!! Thanks so much and we hope to see you in 2012!

our Chicago vacation

Excellent location and accommodations. The listing description exceeded our expectations. The property was clean and well maintained. There were an on going struggle trying to connect to a Wi-Fi, so I gave up. If you must have it I would ask the owner to help you log in: step-by-step including cable TV setup. The latter is if you have time to watch TV while you are in one of the most magnificent cities! Otherwise the owners were courteous and very responsive to maintenance requests. Lake Michigan is a short walk from the condo. We very much enjoyed the Montrose Harbor as our destination for long walks. A CTA bus stop is at the corner of the block- less that a minute walk and you are on your way to downtown. A charming neighborhood. Parking for one car is available too! That was a pleasant surprise. We did have a few occasions when a tenant from upstairs who introduced herself as the owner of the building stopped by a few times and came across as a much less gracious of a person than the owner of the unit I was dealing with. That was a bit iffy but it did not bother us to the point that we had to address it immediately. A positive experience all in all. Once again- excellent accommodations. You should see the master bath with jacuzzi and stonework in it. Will do it again in a heart beat and recommend it to friends and family! Five Stars! By the way, the price is VERY reasonable. I did shop around before I found this gem.

What a GREAT Place! Five of us went to Chicago for a short vacation and this property could not have been more perfect! The owner is very gracious and very helpful. The property is located a short distance North of Downtown in a trendy area with lots of restaurants close by. It is in a very accessible location and is in walking distance of the lake and lakeshore drive. Freshly refurbished, it has beautiful hardwood floors, a wonderful master bedroom/bath, and each bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed. The second bathroom is spacious and right by the other two bedrooms. The kitchen is FABULOUS ! I will absolutely stay here again! This will be my "home" in Chicago! We all loved it! It just could not have been more perfect.

Everything was perfect with this rental! The owner had great communication and the transactions went smoothly. She met us at the unit with keys, parking was off street, and the condo was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked and was very useful in saving some money on our food budget while visiting! The condo was a quick drive into downtown and very easy to get to. It is close to Wrigleyville, restaurants, and grocery stores. We have already recommended it to others interested in visiting Chicago and would definitely stay again! THe bedrooms and bathrooms are huge and we enjoyed using the jacuzzi tub also!

We so enjoyed our stay here. It worked wonderfully for our multigenerational family - from my 84 year old Dad down to my 10 & 11 year old grandchildren. Great location and a nice condo. We liked the condo very much. It was certainly comfortable and large enough to accommodate our family of four. We felt safe in this location.Two problems: 1) The satellite TV had no stations when we arrived. The next day, after calling the owner, we received the stations but had terrible picture quality and sound for our 7 night stay. 2) It took me half a day and numerous phone calls to get the code for wireless internet..3) The coffee pot, some of the blinds, and the dining room light were broken. Prior reviews mentioned no problems of that nature. We were disappointed to have to deal with those problems after having read so many excellent reviews. The BIGGEST problem is that we did not receive back our deposit money.. We rented Aug. 5-12 of 2010. It is Sept. 10th today and still no deposit refund. We have called the owner numerous times but have never gotten a response. This problem of not receiving our deposit back is very disturbing considering the fact that we left the condo in mint condition and also considering how hospitable the owner was.

"The condo was outstanding, and the owners were excellent hosts. The bus transportation was just down the street. Easy accessible to the Mag Mile for shopping etc. Five of us came to celebrate a 50th birthday and it was AWESOME! The rooms are clean and it is much better than staying in any high end hotel. My friends and I loved this place! It was very spacious, very clean, and the bathrooms were exquisite! There were 2 full baths and plenty of room in all the rooms. The host was very accomidating and had great recommendations. Great area with everything just around the corner. And parking wasn't too bad either. Free street parking on Chicago? Can't beat that! We rented this condo during a one-week business trip to Chicago. The entire experience was exceptionally pleasant! I received a prompt reply to my initial inquiry, arranged the contract particulars and received several recommendations for dining in the area. Upon arrival I found the apartment impeccable; the fridge was stocked with essentials, and I was able to relax after a long flight while enjoying the fresh flowers that were brought in for my enjoyment by the owner. My stay here was completely flawless. I loved the feel that I was staying in my own home, and had a wonderful time cooking meals in a BEAUTIFULLY equipped kitchen. In short- this is a beautiful unit which is perfectly located, beautifully appointed, and owned/managed by a very enthusiastic and wonderful person. I look forward to staying on my next trip!

The perfect place to stay when visiting Chicago! This is a fantastic three bedroom condo within a short walk to beautiful lake Michigan! It is very comfortable for our family of four (but could easily accommodate 6 people)and has VERY easy access to Michigan Avenue and the Magnificant Mile via an express bus or taxi that can be found just around the corner. It is bright and sunny with every conceivable upgrade included in the recent renovation. It's like staying in a five star suites hotel but with MUCH more space and a beautiful deck! It's in a quiet neighborhood with a market and Starbucks within a few short blocks! We stayed for one month (September 9-October 9, 2007) and loved it! Feel free to e-mail me with questions.
